Many people are asking for 6 gear but would like to mention here it is not possible to implement as it would required to upgrade whole engine architecture which might leads to reliability issues, increased in cost involved in r&d and extra time for testing.
Then people will vote with their wallet. As simple as that.

Actually the current gear ratios are well suited for the Apache. 5th is like an overdrive. No need for a 6th gear.

He didt rev that much bro... with my rtr 200 bs4 i claimed the max speed of 145kmph.. also done compare with hornet 🐝☺️

Tvs - makes great machines capable of shaming other bikes
Also TVS - limits the machines with lack of 6th gear
What will you do with a 6th gear here?
@@NalinKhurb 6th gear increases top speed. Also gives better cruising speed. 6th gear can also be used to extract better mileage. Mt 15 being a 150 cc motorcycle has same if not more performance than rtr 200 just because of a 6th gear
@@shreelaad4601 Mt 15 is a high revving engine 10k vs 8.5k. Which means it can use one more gear. If you give 6 gears in RTR you'll be just shifting the whole day it'll be a chore.
Second it is a higher compression engine at 11.6:1 vs 10:1. Which then requires you to definitely have an overdrive gear to better fe and engine life.
Mt 15 also costs more than the RTR. Parts are subsequently priced higher and are stronger to sustain higher loads.
Final drive ratio matters for top speed, not the number of gears. They could've given a 6th but then many people won't be able to afford. It's just a mindset to have a 6th gear but for the money or practicality its not required on this bike
@@NalinKhurb I definitely agree with you on the affordability POV. Yes the bike has a lot features on offer than it's competition. Like adjusted lever & suspension & diff rifing modes is something I would really appreciate in a budget bike & TVS nailed that.
They say 6th gear isn't there in the bike due to mileage concerns
I don't think we will get apache with 6 years..bcz it requires the whole power plant to be changed to adjust the 6th gear.. Hope TVS will come with brand new engine with 22-23nm torque and 6th great inclusion in coming years.. Anyway I still enjoy my rtr 200 🔥😊
If TVS release 200 with 6th gear and 23ps torque, it might be the undisputed 200 segment machine. 😁

My BS4 RTR 200 goes at max to 132kmph. This bike really gets better and better with time. The engine can rev really high. I've revved it at about 10.5k RPM on a recent ride. Post 10,000 kms the engine gets smoother and sharper adapting really well with your riding style.

Got Apache 200 BS6 about 2 months back. Brilliant bike. Great comfort, smoothness and mileage. Performance is excellent in low and mid range, and I haven't tested top range as the bike is new and still in break-in period.
I did a 350km ride today with my rtr 200 4V bs6. I have the black one. It performs wonders. Awesome acceleration amd very good control in triple digit numbers. I kept in in 6500-7000 rpm and it performed very well throughout. Now it comes with a 6th gear.

NS 200 needs to add on a lot of upgrades to compete with apache 200 rv, changing color scheme will not help it🤷🏽♂️
I cannot afford this bike... But, if I ever can buy a motorcycle, I will buy this. I really like Dual Channel ABS in a bike. It is so safer than single channel ABS. I appreciate TVS for making such a true value for money bike for India.
It has good acceleration really . 0 to 90 has a raw power than other 200cc bikes.

Being able to get better low end torque and softer suspension for regular use and the opposite settings for occasional spirited riding has made this so versatile.

They are trying so hard cuz they can't add 6th gear on the engine of rtr 200 which is built from the design of rtr 180 they have to build entirely new engine to just add 1 gear so they are giving all other tech 🧐😩😓
Maybe adding another gear is not that simple. Probably engine characteristics have to be changed.
Adding ride modes only requires software change. Maybe that's why did it.
Not that you need it anyway :3 .. not like you're going to go beyond 130 km/hr in daily commute

Well i saw the video this morning and it made my day...a bike filled with tons of features specially race relevant and thin a 200cc one.
The remarkable one is the addition of ride modes.... it's a refreshingly new race machine. I have apache 160 4v and it's a great bike. Thanks for the video👍👍👍

TVS knows how to make an upgrade. Its the only brand which showcases products with combination of passion, trend and technology. But i really would have wished for USD forks to compete with the competition. Most important: Its about a long time now that TVS should bring in the RTR 300 4V with some needed loaded features.
The only disappointing thing is missing of 6th gear and liquid cooling technology then it will become the beast in this segment beacuse in this segment no one gives riding modes and this kind of electronic features .

@@Vijayalakshmi-ob4qi this is a liquid cooled engine, 6th gear won’t be useful for lower compression 8.5k rpm engine. This is perfect for this price tag. May be the next generation engine will compete with Yamaha MT15 engine performance

This 2021 model is like a way ahead of its segment more like a 300-400 but a lack of 6th gear still bothers but now its the top bike in a 200 segment by a fair margin.

TVS Nailed it this time. Preload Adjustable Front Suspension and 3 Riding Modes 😍😍😍😍. Do you think an added 6th gear would work in this motorcycle ? Just asking because it took a long time to redline at 5th gear. I also noticed that it's Top Speed is just 6 KM more than RTR 160 4v BS6 but there was a noticeable difference in acceleration.

Yes, apache need a 6th gear and you will feel it is lacking when riding for long distance ride.
They just missed again the 6th gear. The new inclusions didn't surprised much because the bike so perfect already. All that i missed was 6th gear

Dino bro, since you talked about fair comparison, for enthusiasts, its just required to wring the throttle with proper gearing and the machine screams past.. I see pulsars have that in their DNA and for naked street fighters these riding modes are nice to have and not really must have, correct? Nothing against apache or tvs .. On the other hand, they are more refined and the machine is light compared to pulsar's front heavy drive..
I am confused between mt-15 and rtr 200 4v., which one should I go for? Any suggestions would be welcomed thank you..
