I believe that what women do with our lives... giving birth, managing, teaching and raising those children while managing our homes and sooooo much more... Makes Us Miraculous! 🥰😉❤️
“Wake up in the morning, don’t look at my phone, go outside…look around Praise The Lord”!!! Love this so much!!! ❤ This video was so awesome and helpful and so practical Thank you so much!!
Baby William is so precious! I follow many of the same routines as you. Another one I do is after everyone is in bed I walk thru my home making sure everything is done, put away, nothing in the sink, throw pillows and blankets neat on the chairs and sofas... there's nothing nicer than waking up in a clean and tidy home. I also get up and head outside to enjoy my coffee, thank God and start another blessed day! ❤
I like your last point on pairing something else with a task you are already working on. While I'm fixing toast for my husband I like to put away the things in the dishwasher. All of your comments are reminders and are an inspiration to me. Thank you. The baby's 'hugs' are so adorable. Thanks for letting him join in the video.
I am starting to learn the key to having homemade meals all the time when you have a busy schedule is batch cooking. I think this is probably one trick I see you using. I need to make bread so I go head a make 2 loaves and now I don't have to worry about it tomorrow. I cook a great meal and I make double and freeze it for later. I premake things the weekend before to save time during the week. I put chicken away in the freezer already in a marinade to save time. Homemade food doesn't have to take all day. Also, when I'm really in a pinch for time my crock pot is my friend, set it and forget it.
You are so right! I do this too or I break cooking into a million tiny tasks and do a bit every time I have a spare moment. Trying to make dinner at dinner time doesn't work for me!
hi, do you think you can help me with some ideas of what to eat during a week for a family of 7. Sometimes I struggle getting ideas of what to put in the menu. Thank you!!!
@@BethsaidaAndrade stuffed shells, chicken cheesy casserole, crock pot apple pork chops, tacos, breakfast for dinner, cheesy seafood bake, homemade pizza, chicken pot pie, stir fry, meatball subs, salmon or your favorite fish- local if you can get it, grilled cheese and soup, crockpot beef and broccoli over rice, rotisserie chicken, tuna cheesy Mac, crockpot chicken and cream of mushroom soup, bbq, burgers, chicken and stuffing casserole, favorite meat & cheese in puff pastry, French dip sandwiches, chicken enchiladas, beef stroganoff, homemade chicken noodle soup, quiche, sausage and apples (fried together)...
Love this video. It takes me right back. It's great to be organized, but not to expect to be perfect. Little habits & routines bring stability & confidence both for our children & for us as parents. I always tried my best & tried to remember the good parent is the parent who is good enough. Just this weekend my daughter told me how proud she was of me & my son made dinner because he wanted to. I felt very loved. It was so much reward for just wanting to be good enough. ♥️
I am SMITTEN with your acrylic wall calendars/chore charts!! I’ve been trying to figure out how to post our large family’s charts in an aesthetically pleasing way, and this is perfect!! Thanks so much for sharing! And YES to everything you shared in this video. Most of these tips are how I live as a mama of six. 👌🥰
Im from Germany and this is the first Video i saw from you. You are such a Model, thank you so much for the Inspiration 😍 we need such a content in Germany!!!!
I raised four boys and one with a disability. I used to think two were easy, but actually four was. I found routine is the best way. Things did get crazy at times but I embraced every moment of mother hood, from nursing, cloth diapers on the clothesline to playing together outside, and counting the stars as they popped out. I miss those days so much! Envy you having littles around. Steph, is that the Isla dress you have on? Looks beautiful as always on you. Thank you for inspiring us. Blessings to your gorgeous family!
Soo precious, love your comment. I have four kiddos all tight together in 3.5 years time with twins in there and am trying to savor every moment! I miss it already and get sentimental just thinking about. I don’t want to miss any of it. What do you think helped you most to embrace every moment? You sound like an amazing mama. God bless you. 🩷😀
Your baby William is adorable and your tips so helpful. My contribution to your community would be to use a calendar to review, add, write a to do list for the next day. Check off those items and carryover the rest to the subsequent day upon review. There is nothing better for me personally than a Brownline calendar with tabs and full sheet for each day to carry this out! Thank you for your videos!
I totally agree with you about working out - even if just a power walk - it reboots the brain, gets you to do some deeper breathing, it motivates you and energizes you for sure!
Love this!! What an encouraging video with great tips. A few things we practice here are to give everything a place and teach everyone to put things in their place - especially good for large families ☺️ I also have taught the children through the years to “look behind them” before they walk away - just to see what they are leaving behind and if maybe it shouldn’t be left like that. 😉 And I taught them also to remember the “next person” and to bless them through their actions - did you use all the milk? Go get another one from the basement fridge and replace it so whoever reaches for milk next will find it there. Big families do need to work together - it makes things better! ☺️ ❤️
I am 17 years into my homemaking journey. Our twins are now old enough to drive! I have worked part time here and there, but left last job in 2020 when we decided to homeschool. I was just having a talk with one of our kiddos about how we are a team and we all work together to do our part. My biggest issue is the lack of storage. It can make the clutter pop up so quickly if not tended to. I started dividing tasks and tackling everything by corners. Sometimes, I look around and the whole house is tidy just by addressing it corner by corner or list by list. 😊 You're so right about the distractions. The reminder is definitely something I needed to hear again. It's so easy to grab and get pulled in. Thank you! Maybe I need to make a written schedule for my own screentime! 😂 Absolutely must have a hand written list for all the things!
Steph, Thank you so much for all the great content! I appreciate the Christian content, home making, homeschooling, farm life, love it all! You are so uplifting and happy! It makes my day!☺️ Sometimes home making can be... Well a disaster haha but I appreciate how organized/ minimal and trendy you are, such an inspiration! I started watching your videos about a year ago, and have really enjoyed it! I was pregnant the same time you were and had my 3rd baby in March! I had a rough pregnancy too! It was fun to follow along! Also not far from Lancaster either small word haha! God Bless! ❤
Thank you so much for taking the time to write all that ❤️ I'm sorry you had such a difficult pregnancy. What a joy to be able to enjoy the sweet babies now!
❤ Oh yes, what a blessing he is indeed! ☺️ Worth all the pain! Thank you for taking the time to respond! Ps. Tried making sour dough and the starter and it will not rise ha, you should teach classes! 🤣
Since having my daughter a year and a half ago I have been focusing on meal planning. I have noticed such a difference it has made on my mental load as well as our budget. When I don't meal plan I find we are eating out more or not eating as nutritious as we do when I plan out our meals.
Thank you for all of your wonderful tips! Now my question is, do you have any advice on how to get things done with a baby, especially a Velcro one? 😅 Asking for a friend lol
This is an amazing video and great guide for me because I was becoming very overwhelmed and am realizing it is the organization piece that is missing and you helped me a lot. Thank you
I LOVE the tip about sticky notes instead of phone alarms. I always forget the laundry so I think I'll make an index card that says laundry and put it on the fridge with a magnet when I have laundry in (and hide it on the side of the fridge when I don't).
If I can accomplish these 3 tasks every day I feel like my home is totally manageable and it really helps the entire flow of our day and our overall week. 😊 1. Empty dishwasher in morning. 2. Do 1 complete load of laundry - wash, dry, fold/put away (Any load of laundry - towels, regular clothes, bedding, anything!) Mentally, I don’t hate doing laundry if I know I’m just going to be folding and putting away a single load. I hate laundry if I know I need to catch up and do 3-4 loads. 3. Load and run dishwasher at night
Delegating as a Mom was my biggest struggle as well . I’m a perfectionist so that was some of it. I think it’s easier for some personalities as my husband oldest son and one daughter have no trouble with this , they seem to have the gift of administering. One thing that helped us I can’t stand clutter so I was forced to get my kids to help because I could not do it all . Im a grandma now and empty nester and I’m happy to say our children are capable of taking care of themselves and my daughters are excellent homemakers , by the grace of God is all I can say !
Hello I just wanted to say thank you so much for all your videos and inspiration you have a beautiful family I also was wondering where you got your comforter from on your bed love it thank you
I totally agree with what you said about teaching your children we both know what the Bible says to train them up in the way that they should go and we should teach her children how to take care of your things and how to help with our home and different things in life but I do agree with what you said about your children
On the subject of sticky notes - I order white sticky notes from Amazon because I prefer calming colors in my house. 🤍 Mentioning because you have a similar style aesthetic and I thought you might like white notes. 🤷♀️😘
OMG you got me with the cell phone! I need to not touch it first thing! So much time is wasted on that device if one is not conscious about it! I'm getting better :) Love this video - I needed to hear these points!
Hi Steph, I just wanted to let you know about Monika Hibbs Home and The Corner Room. Maybe you are already familiar with both of these names but I thought I'd just make sure. Monika Hibbs has a lot of home decor that looks really similar to your aesthetic. She has cute stuff in the gold finishes you love. Also, The corner room is a Christian Music group that I found on iTunes and they put scripture to music. It's beautiful!!! I really love the Psalms they set to music. Maybe they are on Epidemic sound. Thanks for sharing so much lovely content.
Have made dinner planning for 1 month at a time and a flow for 3 months season. At This time others have decided for me ..via a concept being a diabetes 2. A whole year of free metals...which also meant getting Even more healthy. NO sandwich meat.. ❤
hello mother, what you say is true. I always apply what you say because my mother always told me to do that. and the good thing is that when I grow up, at the age of 19 I am starting to be independent and disciplined. so I wasn't surprised when I lived alone. despite the fact that in my country more boys are pampered than girls. Most boys in my country can rarely live independently. My younger siblings are late learning to be independent, they are very stubborn when I remind them to clean their own rooms when they wake up. washing the dishes they used to eat, but they still stubbornly don't want to do that small job
The delegating things to your kids to do is something I've had to practice a lot this last half year. I'm pregnant with a high risk pregnancy and so I've had to. Thanks for the video
There is a woman on here with a fairly large following who gets the question all the time of how in the world does she do so much? She homeschooled, she's got a homestead with all kinds of foods and animals, she cooks and bakes, she cleans, she makes her own cleaning and hygiene products, she preserves food, and she does a LOT of other things as well (classes, things with family, day trips, etc). Well, her response to this question of "how do you do so much" one day was, in a shrill voice, "I get up earlier!!" Then she laughed like it was the most obvious answer to the dumbest question. It rubbed me the wrong way. It was arrogant and condescending, but more than that it was disingenuous. We all get 24 hours in a day. Many of us are up before the sun and don't get to bed until it's very late. What she should've said is that she's very good at being efficient and has good time management skills. I appreciate people who acknowledge the reality of this. I appreciate people who try to help and teach, rather than belittle or use "tough love." Tough love has a place, yes, but I do not believe something this important should be taught by tough love.
Two things I really struggle with and have a hard time actually not getting very angry is my adult children and my husband will walk by the sink to put a cup or dirty bowl on my bar. Plus leaving wet wash clothes in the bathtub that’s a big no no in my book. My mother taught us well we didn’t have that nice of a house but she believed in keeping it clean and we would have never done those two things. And honestly my mom and dad were so good to us. I know they got those habits from my husband side and also putting empty milk containers back in fridge does anyone else have these problems?
It took me years to realize that trying to take care of my little ones whilst trying to get every speck of dust out of my home was pointless, because there is always dust but the time taken away from our little ones can never be regained:) Thankfully i learnt this before it was too late lol x.
Immm… phone in the draw seems odd… what if your needed in an emergency? I respect your point of view about phones, however you are content creator for people to view their phones?
I believe that what women do with our lives... giving birth, managing, teaching and raising those children while managing our homes and sooooo much more... Makes Us Miraculous! 🥰😉❤️

It took me years to realize that trying to take care of my little ones whilst trying to get every speck of dust out of my home was pointless, because there is always dust but the time taken away from our little ones can never be regained:) Thankfully i learnt this before it was too late lol x.
Thanks for the reminder ❤️
