      its not about employees, its all about employers they don't know how to run IT businesses.. they are just selling IT services at very very lower prices and ultimately paying less employees.. these IT companies are bullying in the market...

      Earlier there was more increment, benefits and perks when employee remains loyal to one company; but now the trend has changed mostly, when there are more switches there will be more increment in pay packages, same is applicable to finance sector as IT.

I have observed since they are well connected and dont have to deal with daily struggles that regular ppl deal with they have more time and freedom to study and explore subjects of their choice , sometimes despite being spoilt they top the class as well ,one of nature's many games sadly

    A few years back my current package was 11 and MindTree offered me 7-8 lakh something 😂 and I got an offer of 28 in another company.
    The reason they have given: the position we were hiring for that is closed.

    Mr.Subroto Bagchi is a very great human being. He used to invite teams to his house for lunch and dinner. who will do that? They felt as if they are in a relatives house. That is the level of comfort. Even his family members also. Also his articles in Deccan or Indian or a top notch newspaper was full of depth and human values.

      @@guharup my dear friend, either u r one donkey type employee who don't have happy family life etc or u may be one foolish business man who r thinking for just small money anyone sell himself for ur. If any person daily basis 9-10 hours can spend for other + 2-3 hour traveling to office and after that whatever he is earning he must submitted approx 20% income tax than it would one better option to do something better for himself, for own & for his family.
      At least for me it's better option but I don't know about ur. U can daily basis reskill ur self for ur whole life and leave ur own family life. Happy Reskilling for u.

In companies ka profit all time high h, or share 52 week high h p or investors ko dividends daba k dete hain. Executives ki salaries all time high. Par employees ko hire nhi karenge kyuki profit kaise share karenge. Offices khali pade hain sabko wfh chahiye.

    He doesn't have answers.. Just talking unnecessary stuff.. There is one simple reason for less hiring.. there is a big decline in business.. All these GenAI, etc.. will manage the gap due to attrition and handle average jobs.. Management will have some words like upskilling, etc to justify low hiring.. During covid people needed to work remotely, so there were huge business demand created and all compagnies almost doubled their staff, but post covid there was normalisation of demand, so not all hired during covid were needed.. So they started releasing people from the payroll.. It's purely demand supply issue.. any other logic is just a political answer.. There will again be large no of jobs in IT starting 2025..

If you can't crack NIMCET exam just find a better college in your state. Then study hard.... IT line is basically about skill set not degree... Degree plays vital role but agar degree nhi bhi to chalega... So just do MCA... I will join this year MCA ( I am a chem graduate)

    But WE NEED support from GOVT to upgrade our education system, completing assignments on old technology in colleges and upgrading self with new skill at home parallely is difficult for a student to handle. I don't understand why all IT companies don't request govt in this initiative

      The problem with the industries are, they are not coming forward to join academics to draft the type of syllabus for institution to be implemented to impart requisite skills what the industries demanding; government and institutions are putting forward proposals to industries, but no one came forward till date and just keep complaining about students not having skills.

      @@Saurabh-xt8gz No even if colleges impart latest tech knowlegde, they mostly focus on the theory and a little bit of practical, enough for the student to understand what the technology does. According to Mr. Subroto, students need to be industry ready from college itself without any training, which is not at all possible. No matter how much the student learns, the industry needs to give training to the freshers.
      And about the market. The low hiring due to less competence is a mere facade to cover up real issues which industry is facing, and don't want to disclose. They are just putting the blame on the students.

    All Indian IT services companies were setup by IITians, US Returned people. Now people they work with were ordinary people selected from non-IT fields. Due to record outsourcing volumes the headless chickens started floating without any skills thereof. They thought they are running businesses, fact is/was the IT is run by developers (labourers) who toil more than 12 hours to keep client happy. But what they get in return is paltry increments while the less educated seniors get cream being influential. In IT cos, only HR and upper management get paid for doing nothing, dancing on the outsourcing waves. They are not well versed with basic applied arithmetic or statistics. What's achievement of these IT Services companies barring high cost IT outsourcing contracts. The fiasco of ITR filing green field project is a well published capabilities of a topmost Indian IT company. How can a project worth 2000cr fail so miserably on its opening day/month. Whatever developed is still not working properly people still pay rs 500-1000 to get the ITR filed by other private ITR filing companies. Govt spent 2000cr and counting, taxpayers pay at least 1000cr or more every year. This is colossal failure of our own prestigious IT industry. IT services companies is a huge scam which is solely running on the shoulders on people in the lower rung.

    Skill, upskills is not the issue...Supply-Demand ratio is fucked up... Even software engineers in developed countries are facing this issue....But their situation is not as worse as ours.... Because of our population and increased number of engineering students this situation is intense im India....

      And if you have money then you can start your own it startup and provide job opportunities to people ☺️

    Even if you upskill they still ask for 5 years experience. So how the hell can one get 5 years of experience after upskilling. That is not the right way to screen candidates with multiple IT skills.

      Seems you did not get context at all.
      Second thing I myself taking interviews on a daily basis....Freshers are not even able to write basic programs. What company can do then?
      What do you suggest a company should give training from college level itself?
      Nowadays Udemy, LinkedIn and other platforms are so easily available at very low cost if some one is not deployed, serious and wants to get skilled he/she can easily do.

    1:29 up skill karana thik hai lekin problem yah hai ki aaj jo yuva college mei admission leta hai tab aaj ke time par jo technology companies mei use hoti hai vahi syllabus padhaya jata hai, lekin jab 4 saal engineering padhane ke baad student paasout hokar bahar nikalate hai, tab tak jo unhone padha hai vah outdated ho jata hai; matalab 4 saal padhane ke baad bhi vah kamayi nahi kar sakta job na milane ki vajah se, fir se vah upskill karane ke liye maa-baap se paisa mangata hai tau maa baap bolenge beta itane lakhs rupaye kharch kiye tumhari padhayi par fir bhi tumko job nahi mil rahi hai tau tuhi nikamma hai.

    College teaches concepts and technology keeps on changing so colleges are right but companies owners are wrong here actually there is demand supply gap. Industry is guilty here as they are not producing enough jobs. This skill gap thing is rubbish, it is company to train new employees for the technology they use in their company.

      Exactly. My parents used to say in their times, even if they went to meet their friends at their office, other employees would say "welcome, this way for the job interview". There was lack of people back then and even one person could raise a family.
      Now it's even hard to reach an interview. Stampede like situation in Gujarat and Air India office, where 50 times more people showed up than vacancies.
      People do have very very big ideas and projects in their head, but that's just not possible for even above average people and they want us to work at minimum wage.
