- Cover of "I Am Machine" by Three Days Grace off of their 2015 album, Human.
Tuning is Drop C. Spur of the moment cover, I learned it quick and went ahead and recorded it right away which I can do now with the new setup finally. The little lead lick in the bridge was more of an improv than playing it exactly like the song since it's pretty hard to hear with the delay effect and in the mix exactly what he's doing, but it's played something along those lines. For best sound, please listen with headphones. Enjoy, like, and subscribe for more vids!!

Awesome. Love this song, and I must say Matt is working out pretty well 3DG I think. Sure, no one can be Adam, but, I love My Darkest Days. and I like what he's doing with Three Days Grace.
I play it a little different, but good cover still! Such a fun song to play...
Best cover, and this "solo"
Perfect cover, you just nailed it :)
Very awesome bro, nice cover to Badass song!! Thnx 👍😎

this is my wwe theme song the guitar only
awesome cover love your sound how do you record your videos? Mic, video, what are the headphones about? keep on rockin
I mic my amp and then the mic goes into my interface and the interface to my laptop. I use Audacity to record, the headphones play the song and I play my guitar over it. The headphones tend to get in the way, but I haven't figured out another way to hear the backing track and record live at the same time yet. For video, I use the Logitech software that came with my camera. Once the recording is done, I edit the audio in Audacity, export/save it, and then I import the video and audio into Windows Live Movie Maker (VSDC Free Video Editor for split-screen videos) and sync them up, save, done. That's the gist of it at least.
the most badness song i ever i hear dude
The 2-2-2---2-2...Is the final 2-2 harmonics? During the verses I mean.
Final Beta Yep, and to me it sounds like there's another guitar in the recording that plays the fretted note instead.
Hey man, excellent cover as usual.
I wanted to ask you something. What is your opinion on software amps? Is there any reasons as to why you don't use them? I think they can record pretty nicely, and it would help you achieve the accurate sound easily, as there are a ton of amps and effects and mics and speakers etc loaded in them.
I mean, I love your covers, and think they're yet to be beaten by any other RUclips guitarist, and I'm really fascinated by software amps, so I wanted to get your opinion on them.
Please keep recording! Following all your videos regularly! :)
***** I have nothing against amp emulators, I've noodled around with them in the past and the good ones are really amazing and very authentic, but they're just not the best for doing live recordings I find. I'd definitely go that route though if you want really high studio quality recordings, but for me? I've always been pretty bare bones, I stick a mic in front of my amp and play. I do a little post sound tweaking now, but very little. I like the raw, live sound and you can only really get that if you play through a live amp and you can always still re-amp later if you want and add in other effects/sounds.
MysticGuitar77 Thanks for replying so quickly! I understand what you mean completely. Software amps can't work well with live, yup.
Also, I wanted to ask, what effects do you have and use? I followed your comment on a previous video about the amps you have, but I guess you can't this authentic sound with bare bones amp, right?
***** Heh, I guess the irony is that I actually play a digital amp currently haha. And it's really versatile as it has most of your standard effects built right into it (delay/echo/reverb/chorus/flange/phaser/tremolo), pretty much what would be in the average pedalboard without all the pedals and I control them all with one central floorboard instead. My distortion is pretty dry, I only sometimes put on delay for certain leads or if a certain part of a song I learned needs a specific effect I'll just add it in, usually phaser or flange. My main clean channel though I don't like dry so I put in slight touches of reverb, delay and chorus in it.
But, my current Line 6 is going to be gone probably within the next month or so so this will all change as I build my new pedalboard from scratch with the new amp I'm getting which will give me the tone I'm looking for and can't get with the Line 6.
Awesome job man. Got any tabs for the solo?
I sort of improv-ed the lead, probably not note-for-note with how it's actually played so I don't know what good a tab would do. I'm basically just ascending up a simple scale pattern, I found the root where it starts and where it ended and adlibbed the rest of it.
Also, am I to assume you're doing a Miscellania cover? I read the tab on UG.
Yep, I'll be doing it except RUclips will block it in the US like they've done to everybody else who's covered the song already so I'm not really in a rush to do it lol.
MysticGuitar77 Well that sucks big time. Good luck anyway, and thanks for the tab, payed it through, it all sounds right to me. Great job.
*\m/ SUPER HARD \m/*
thanks!!
The solo should be played faster I believe, but it's so hard to hear the right notes there.
It's very hard to hear it and he's using a lot of delay during it so notes start falling on top of each other. I just watched the music video, watched where his hands were and improvised something close to what he's doing. It sounds like he's just ascending up a scale, the delay is what makes it sound like it's played faster than it is.
Which string was tuned to a low c?
how do i get a backing track cant find anywhere
I just played over the original track.
oh ok thanks, i enjoyed your cover too good job !
what is the Brand of the guitar
PRS Clint Lowery SE
Heavy tone what are you using?
Back then I was still using my old Line 6 Spider III HD150. I now use an EVH 5150
@@MysticGuitar77 dialed it in pretty good
Even better at 1.25x speed
What Guitar and amp?
+Greg the Wolf Line 6 Spider III HD150 and a PRS Clint Lowery SE.
MysticGuitar77 thanks
Do you have any tabs for solo?
Marcin Mezer I don't have tabs, sorry. I improvised most of the solo.
Well, that improvisation sounds great. But I will try to look for any clues for right tabs in a music video, you can See in it some notes. And anyway that is more my friend's problem because he plays solo and I play rythm part of song :D
Human Race and the other two singles are the only good songs off of Human. The rest of the songs sounded unfinished due to the horrible mixing. The next album will be more refined.
I Am Machine is the only one I ended up liking on the album, Human Race and Painkiller are catchy, but they're so repetitive lyrically that I got sick of them quick. The next one probably will be better now that Matt has an album with the band under his belt.
