The dogs in this movie remind me of Bolts animation style. Like the fur textures and big noses, the animation quality is the best part of this movie it seems.

If an animated cartoon finally get the movie adaptation, the animators put more effort into adding more details as soon as possible, like adding more shadows and lighting, make the art style more definitive and high quality, or expand the world building.
Paw Patrol Movie is no different when hair textures are added to the pups.

The beginning of the movie with the Sea Turtles is very inaccurate. Female Sea Turtles do not care for their young at all, as soon as the female buries the eggs, she leaves. Baby Sea Turtles are alone and vulnerable even before they hatch. This movie seems to portray Sea Turtles more like Ducks. Also, when the Sea Turtle saw the truck barreling towards it, it retracted its head and limbs into its shell. That is also inaccurate, Sea Turtles can't hide in their shells like a freshwater Turtle. I know this doesn't matter whatsoever, but I don't care.
I love sea turtles but the inaccuracy is wild bruh like WHY WOULD YOU HAVE THE EGGS THIS FAR FROM BOTH THE BEACH AND THE OCEAN
Also they shouldn't even be on land in the first place. They are literally going in the opposite direction of the water!
Also (don’t ask me why I remember this) the show itself made an episode about baby turtles who needed protecting. Movie can’t remember it’s own lore.

It's really funny, as I've watched almost all the seasons of the Paw Patrol (don't ask). Mayor Humdinger is always scheming to take over Adventure Bay's mayor role, it didn't surprise me that he became the mayor of Adventure City. Nine times out of ten he does the exact same tomfoolery he did in the movie.
Also, the guy is a mayor of his own city. He just chooses to neglect it so he can run around with his cats while badgering a boy and puppies.

I actually had the urge to watch this movie a few days ago. I was a teenager when the show came out so i never watched it but i thought this movie was pretty cute. I like they gave the puppies more accurate hind legs for this too.
"Wes Anderson's Paw Patrol" sounds kind of cool actually.
Wes Anderson: After Isle Of Dogs people kept calling me "weeaboo trash" so I remade it with all obvious references to Japanese culture removed and that's how I made the Paw Patrol Movie.
I think my theory as to why people are overpraising it so much is probably because they watched it, thought it was fun and entertaining and enjoyed it, but felt embarassed to let people know they liked what's basically a "baby movie", maybe scared they'll be called a smooth-brain for liking it. So they do all this mental gymnastics of trying to prove how its a lot more complex than it seems to be and they enjoyed it because they were able to appreciate the "deeper themes" of the movie rather than just because they thought it was fun, plain and simple.

as a 23 year old, I gotta admit paw patrol is pretty cool. I used to work in a daycare so the brats always wanted to watch tv so I also had to watch what ever nickolodeon or disney shit was on. there are definitely worse things kids could be watching
Paw patrol took over my entire life. It took my family away from me with its stupid plot, it took my house, my job and my own life. I am currently homeless, the paw patrol theme still ringing in my head, I regret ever watching this movie, don't make the same mistake I did.

I myself enjoyed the movie and found it pretty good. I didn’t come in expecting a huge message (but Chase having his arc was nice) and that really helped manage my expectations.
I hear there is a sequel coming up and I’ll watch it too, why not? I don’t always look for messages (or well-executed) messages in movies, sometimes I’m just in the mood for a funny/cute romp.
When I went to see Space Jam 2, they played trailers for this and the live action Clifford movie, trailers for movies based on pre-school properties before a film that featured Game of Thrones, Mad Max, Clockwork Orange, and Rick & Morty.
Space Jam 2 was literally just intended to be crossover: the movie with bad CGI when the original is a cult classic SPECIFICLY because it keeps it's scope (Looney Toons + Michael Jordan) in check instead of trying to be a crossover of every single property universal owns instead of being it's own thing. It also helps that the original gorgeously blends 2D animation and live action together like Roger Rabbit did. After Ready Player One did so well being a crossover (which was excused due to being entirely set in an MMO in a future where copyright had been abolished) Universal rushed out Space Jam 2 in hopes of getting another nostalgia bait movie, missing the entire appeal of RPO, the SAO-style wish fulfillment for gamers, to instead focus on nostalgia pandering while giving brain dead boomer takes about video games, which angered the fanbase of gamers/weebs that enjoyed RPO in spite of it's flaws. Then Disney copied Universal with Wreck it Ralph 2 and Rescue Rangers. Wreck it Ralph 2 was god-awful being basically The Emoji Movie but slightly not as bad (at least it showed us pre-fall Spamton and is canon to Deltarune) and Rescue Rangers was okay, if a bit too heavy on reference and meta humor. (I like mega humor when it's done well) Crossover movies are a plague on creative freedom in movies and it's all the MCU's fault, but at least with the MCU it was all one cohesive narrative not blending every IP you own into one hodgepodge no matter how badly they fit. Also, doesn't Disney own The Iron Giant? They bought Fox and The Iron Giant was a Fox Animation film. Why is Universal using it?
I've vividly been watching this show in its early years in 2014, and for the most part really loved it up until i grew up. Now seeing its movie adaptation from Dumbsville I could say it not for me, but it will be if I were to introduce my niece to the whole show. I really adore the animation being a surprising fresh nickelodeon movie and my niece would enjoy the action and premise of the movie. Its a win win for this movie in my opinion.

As someone who only watched this show because Batman: The Brave and the Bold was on afterwards, i definitely wanted to watch Batman: The Brave and the Bold after watching it
And BTW Mayor Humdinger is the "villian" of the show... except the villain part. He's more of a childish prankster. His "evil plans", to which he even does an evil laughter, include things like:
- throwing a lot of garbage around,
- stealing Paw Patrol's TV so he could watch cat videos,
- disturbing a parade of baloon animals with a giant baloon of himself,
- stealing electricity to power up a giant neon sign of himself,
- scaring people off the beach by with a fake shark so he could have the whole beach for himself.
And he very often ends up... calling the Paw Patrol for help because his plans nearly always backfire. As far as "villians" go, Paw Patrol dealt with much worse. I mean, Sweetie - who even joins the Paw Patrol at one point - tries a coup d'etat several times....
My friends and I did a drinking game to this movie and we had more fun watching it than recent disney movies like this. We kept adding shot rules bc there was just so much predictable repetution that we CHEERED when Chase kept getting his stupid little ptsd flashbacks and when there was unsafe infrastructure that got built in a day.

Agreed (nice username and profile pic btw), I'm younger than you but I remember when PAW Patrol first premiered...I was on summer vacation stuck with my arm in a cast because my clumsy self managed to somehow fall off a swing and break my wrist...needless to say I relate to Marshall a lot (we're both extremely clumsy and love cheesy jokes and puns) and he's been my favorite since day 1 of the show. I took a break from the show for a while before season 4 started because of personal reasons that left me unable to watch it without having a panic attack...but now because of the movie I'm back to watching it again to help myself get over the fear that was causing that panic...and I still absolutely adore Marshall, that adorable little Dalmatian will always be my favorite, and I hope they make a movie focused on him sometime in the future...maybe if they make another movie after the Mighty Movie since that one is focused on Skye. It only makes sense to do one about Marshall next because he's the other really popular one like Chase and Skye...at least I think, judging from all the merch I see everywhere featuring him 😅

i've seen this movie a couple of times and honestly enjoyed it. it's not amazing or clever cuz it's just a paw patrol movie but it was super cute and fun. i thought the movie looked pretty good in terms of the art and animation and all that, also the ending song was stuck in my head for a super long time, lmao. i'm really looking forward to the sequel that's coming out this year!

I watched this movie recently to see if it was any good cuz I liked Paw Patrol as a baba, and it was just kinda okay. I would've liked it if I was still a kid, so it was alright. I was a little annoyed at Chase's arc though, like they make this huge deal about Chase making a big jump, and act like its this big achievement, but then IMMEDIATELY AFTER they show Skye ROLLING HER EYES AT LIGHTNING and then BLOWING UP A MACHINE??? It's scary how many people think paw patrol characters are actually attractive. THEY'RE LITERALLY JUST DOGS. Not anthro furry animals like Lola Bunny, Lopuny, Gardivior, Tony the Tiger, Clawroline, Rouge the Bat, etc, ACTUAL LITERAL FOUR LEGGED ANIMALISTIC DOGS. This isn't Disney either where there's blatant sexualization with some of the female characters, (Elsa most notably in recent years, or any of the other princesses really. And on the furry side Judy Hops.) Paw Patrol is literally the most family friendly PG clean goo goo gaga baby show I can think of on air right now, no sexualization in sight. You have to be BEYOND sheltered to think that the female dogs in paw patrol are even CLOSE to attractive. They're literally dogs. Like, have you seen an attractive woman that isn't your mom in your life? 💀 I know most of those people are kids but COME ON. As a kid I was completely asexual until I had my "awakening" at age 15 and slowly began to form my preferences. Thank God I didn't become a furry, because I was very close... I thought humans turning into dragons was hot for a good 2-3 years. Then I got into TG and now I'm trans. These kids are seriously messed up if they have a crush on dogs from paw patrol. This isn't even in furry terratory it's just straight up messed up. And for adults, they should legit be investigated. I know arresting people for doing or thinking truely degenerate stuff is a slippery slope that inevitably leads to racism, but COME ON! R34 of animals should be illegal, as should loli stuff.
@@krimsonkatt yea there are some werid people into this show out there. I hate most furry stuff but this is an entirely separate issue. There's no justification for this other than zoophilia in my opinion. I'm generally very lenient on degeneracy but this is definitely where I draw the line.
I know the person I saw doing this was a "plushophile" too. I don't know if that means they are only attracted to the plush toy or some odd scenario like that but regardless I can't even defend it with "well they aren't hurting anyone and they should be allowed to express themselves" at that point.
