Nis is doing the "prinny collections", atlus should definitely do something like that, ok i got it! the "Jack frost" collections! hee hoo!
And for P1 have the ability to switch between soundtracks since a lot of people have a preference over the music. I personally feel like the original PSX soundtrack fits better as it has more tracks overall and was the soundtrack that was originally made for this game yet it doesn’t get much use outside of P5S using a remix of the Normal Battle theme
Yeah I would definitely invest in something like that there are definitely a lot of people who are new to persona that would definitely want to try the older games they should also do the same thing for shin megami tensei
Rather remade these games they dated to hell
I like how they already have this opening uploaded onto the channel, but uploaded it again in somehow lesser quality.

I think we can all agree that not a single persona games OP is bad, all of them are so good! From the visuals to the music, everything is incredible!
The music is never bad but Royal's visuals are bad and don't sync well with the music.

The music slaps but it really sticks out as the sole time they just used gameplay clips in a montage instead of an animated opening. Even Portable had a fully animated OP

The ultimate classic Persona collection: Shin Megami Tensei: if…, Hazama’s Chapter, Persona 1, and the Persona 2 Duology. The entire Persona history at our fingertips.
Reminder that on the ATLUS survey, P1 and P2 remakes scored pretty high so we'll likely see remakes sometime "soon" (next 5 or so years ;-;) if they were willing to revive Soul Hackers, they'd definitely remake P1 and P2 if enough people want it.
Now that Reload's out, hopefully Atlus take note of the poll. After P6 (whenever it releases), then original trilogy remakes would be great.
But given track record, they'll probably make a few P6 spin-offs and then P4 Rewind or whatever they name it.

@yq returns PSP version *does* look better, but the soundtrack is completely off. It doesn't fit whatsoever.
@yq returns I'd rather have the PSP remaster once again, it's a better localization and includes the Snow Queen side-quest; *the original U.S. localization of 1996's Revelations: Persona does not include such a side-quest.*
@yq returns well; it is how it is. the PSP was just that. a portable playstation. you could only do with so much. now that we have consoles with SSD drives; i can see something like Konami's Castlevania/contra collections but Atlus' SMT and Persona series. maybe anyway

Persona 1 had his problem(god damn the random encounter) but the story of both route(that are basically 2 different game in one) are incredible! The character were great for the year of release AND THE MUSIC

Aw yeah. Now we’re getting into more familiar territory here.
This was practically the first time I’ve actually gotten into trying out the Persona series after seeing this intro online, and while I didn’t get too far, it was really what lead me into Persona 3 Portable which solidified my liking of the series.
On top of that this is actually how you do a remake as well, by adding back in stuff that was missing from the original PS1 release. Really makes me wonder what happened to providing all that between that and in Persona 2 Innocent Sin.

Also, I don't wanna give up hope and watch a P5 let's play and/or anime, because I did that for P4golden and it released on steam like half a year later XD I was so pissed that I couldn't experience it for the first time :(
Persona 1 and 2 deserve a remake, but only in the gameplay not the story.. both are the best in the series

Man, I don't know where all this is going, but it's making me excited. I really hope this is leading up to a really cool announcement, because it'll be a real downer if all this is just a stalling tactic. Though, even if they're just uploading these for posterity's sake, it's still appreciated.

I really love this song, especially this part:
"I cannot face the sun
But I cannot dream at night
So under the moonlight I will march on"
It's really emblematic of Maki's entire character of being unable to face the real world, but also subconsciously not able to relax in her own simulated world due to all the underlying unease she has that surfaces in her world.
I also love the duality of the whole day and night theme, even the visual at that point matches the lyrics with Maki standing between the bright moonlight and the dark night sky.
This image also harkens to how her simulated world is divided into two halves, one light and one dark, with Ideal Maki constantly traveling between both, and even further, relates to her Arcana of the High Priestess, calling to the Boaz and Joachin duology of the card as well as the theme of moonlight and subconsciousness the card represents.
Persona 1 may not have developed all the characters as well like in the other games, but it damn well made sure to develop Maki's character quite brilliantly.
This game just throws you into everything. Interesting to see the huge improvements that was P2 from this game.
Nice PSP version, do the 2 Innocent Sin & Eternal Punishment PSP next please!

Just played this for the first time last year on my vita. Absolutely loved it and I hope it gets a ps4/ps5 makeover soon.
Am i the only one thinkingthat these uploads hint to a remade or remastered collection of old Persona games for the newer consoles? Seeing as Atlus is revealing a bunch of new stuff this year :D
There's always hope, no matter how faint. I really hope that that'll be the game(s) release for 2022 and at the end of the anniversary the climax is the announcement/teaser for P6.
However, this being ATLUS, I'm fully prepared for "the big thing" to be another japan only/virtual concert and some merch and nothing else.

The imagery in this opening as well as the music are amazing. The PSP remake soundtrack doesn’t fit aswell as the original but it’s still great, I especially love the track School Days.
If it's from my man Shoji Meguro, I will take it
But for real, yeah, OG soundtrack is more suited than this. Revelation battle theme kicks instantly while Lone Prayer has a slow burn, which is bad for battles lasting only 30 seconds
Psp soundtrack is fantastic but looks like that of Persona 4. I think they have the same style.

School Days is an unforgivable sin on the basis that it replaces a massive chunk of the original game's OST, in turn ruining the atmosphere tenthfold.
Man, it would be so cool if the games that started the Persona series was actually re-released.
At the very least bring the PS1/PSP versions to PS4/5.
It would be nice to make some PS4 vid playthroughs of P5 but ATLUS hasn't let us record off the system since release... 🙄
Wow ... I loved hearing this whenever I was starting to play it. I wish I'd do that recollective replay I planned after becoming fixated on that bonus dungeon, which I shouldn't have had access to since I only got it to from having done a bad ending or something, which had caused my playthrough to stall to the point of me forgetting everything.
Having this be uploaded on the day of my B-day is actually pretty awesome

Love this theme
A compilation of the original and the second duology games would be a great way for people to be introduced to the classics that was like before persona 3. Especially considering the psps games are now very pricey (unless you have a vita), i think the switch would be a good platform for these games to be released. But that's just my opinion.

@@MegaChaos91 It's not, it's a direct port with a UI and soundtrack overhaul, outside of that, all the assets and code are the exact same as the PS1 original.
This month the announcement will be port's/remaster of Persona 1 and Persona 2 IS and Persona 2 EP, right?

Even if I'm not a fand of this remaster port mechanic and sound design changes from the orignal I enjoy this opening and focus on Maki.
