My 1992 F150 has the same problem. Can't find a good video to help me. Saw your video. Thanks. Unfortunately, there are no brackets made for the truck that I have.
Not sure. Maybe some off roading. I think it had a body lift on it at some point. Maybe someone had bigger tires on it. Either way it won't crack again.
@@mossman381 that was the weak spot on the frames my 79 was all stock even stock size tires but I plowed with it from 1980-2018 and it did commercial plowing my buddy still has it he was going to restore it and it never happened

I have heard even with stock size tires they can crack. Probably how hard you work the steering. I can see how a plow truck would be hard on steering.

It went back in easy. I did have to clearance a small amount to clear the repair plate.
