Heavier weapons didn't work well with this boss as the attack animations take longer to finish and the boss was hitting me with his quick startup attacks.
Tried few weapons and bleed does seem to deal a lot of damage.

yeah i beat him pretty easily too tbh. bleed definitely is a pretty easy way to play the game, but people were exaggerating about messmer a ton. he wasnt all that much
