I think she went to a real expencive nail course and now thinks shes the top dog when it comes to nails, he is a proper lad and wears tight joggers and walks a bit funny like hes just shat himself cause he goes to the gym everyday. They met on a night out and are not married yet but still had a kid who has some kind of cool celeb inspired name and a david beckham haircut.

I absolutely love your builds and commentary , you’re always a delight to watch. Also you said Shelia and Dave’s kids are named Timothy & Gary , so I thought it would be cool if maybe it was Their son Gary and his young family that moved in next door. Like maybe Gary’s a full on mama’s boy , so when he and Carly were looking for their first home his mother conveniently mentioned that the place next door was for sale.
Garys mum probably gave him like £20k for a deposit to buy it, he's the favourite child ;)

Gary was one of Sheila/Shirley/Barbara & Dave's sons. He moved out of home but couldn't keep away from his mum's sausage surprise for too long so jumped at the chance to renovate next door. They love making the most of Dave's tossed meat in the summer and Sheila loves spoiling the first born grandchild!

His brother Timothy often visits with his girlfriend to use the landing.
They're high school sweet hearts! Married young and saved for a home while living at home with Carly's parents. When they found out they were pregnant they bought this new home and had Nadine! Carly now takes her nail clients at home while Gary works as an independent carpenter.

Gary Bailey and Carly, with a Y, were the talk of the neighbourhood that nestled in Newcrest. When Sheila told Timothy that one of the Bailey brothers was moving in next door to her, her son had a few clipped words to say: "Ma, I'm telling you, do not get involved with them. They are bad news. Especially that Gary."
For the life of her, she couldn't understand what was so troublesome about the young couple with the baby that was always neatly dressed. Admittedly, their dog was a boisterous fellow, who at first glance, she thought would swallow her poor little Pauline whole, but they seemed like a normal, sweet family. Netherless, she heeded her sons warning and only said hello and good morning.
Until that September afternoon. Not even four months after moving in, that woman. That Carly. Oh dear. What a disgrace. She had marched herself over to poor Summer's house across the road, screaming and shouting and causing havoc with the young lady. Then Gary went out to see what was going on and before long, everyone was peering out their windows. After that, the once harmonious street was changed forever. Anyone who associated with Summer was on the Bailey's target list, and young men and women were always hanging around their house. Sheila had her suspicions, and so did Dave, about their shenanigans but they had yet to find any proof. Besides, Gary always took their bins out along side his own, and even offered to walk Pauline for her. His dog, Victor, was a friendly, hyper boy who just wanted to play, and she'd often hear him playing with him in the back garden. Dotty, their neighbour, who would come around every Friday for a cup of tea and a tart, had told Sheila that Gary was a lovely young man, who had mowed her front garden and that his daughter, Monroe, had her dad wrapped around her little finger. She had heard plenty of gossip from Dotty about her next door neighbour. According to her, Carly and him had not been together for very long, only a couple of years and he had done right by her when she fell pregnant,although Dotty clarified, that she wasn't saying he wasn't in love with her. In their short time together, they had moved from neighbourhood to neighbourhood because a certain someone couldn't get on with their neighbours. Apparently, Carly was the mouth and Gary was the bite, always having to clean up after her. It was clear to see she was an amazing mother, excelled at her craft as a nail technician and was absolutely head-over-heels in love with Gary. Again, Dotty said that Carly was very generous with her friends and family, although she had very little of both. Sheila couldn't help but feel maybe it was Carly that was stirring all this drama and Sheila was certain she would keep her distance. Unless of course, someone started on her Dave, or Dotty. Then that would be a whole other story.

Gareth 'Gary' and Carly with their little son, Teddy, who is perfect in his mother's eyes but bites the other children at nursery and terrorises, Gary's dog, Bruce the boxer, who Carly also resents. She wanted a cat. Bruce also terrorises Pauline, causing a feud between Shelia and the neighbours. Dave and Shelia also declined planning permission, and Shelia constantly complains about having a modern house next door at her weekly slimming world's meetings, whilst Carly complains about Shelia when she meets the other local yummy mummies for a weekly jog around the park with their strollers. Gary is unfazed by the whole situation and think's Dave is 'an alright bloke'. I also imagine this house to smell of those linen candles from John Lewis, that Carly buys in bulk and once offered to Shelia as a peace offering, it's sat in the bottom of her airing cupboard ever since.

i’m loving the British style homes I’m not even from the UK or anything but they’re just so cute, and your videos have taught me to landscape better because I usually never even use the terrain tools

My idea for story: Carly and Gary met while doing their A Levels at the local comp - Gary was the well known tough nut, and Carly was the daughter of the DCI. Naturally, opposites attracted and they started going out in Year 12 (Carly tried snogging all of his mates first because she wanted his attention, didn’t work so well because he knocked his mates round a bit). Carly got pregnant right out of secondary, and the pair decided to try and make it work. Carly started working as a nail tech at LOYO Salon (lol) and Gary used his BTEC qualifications to get a job as a builder, and the family is all doing very well for themselves now (Gary has cleaned up his act a little bit but still likes to go for a pint every now and then)

I have a fun story about bins. When my mum and I first moved into her parents house her and my grandmother were sharing a bed before we could afford to renovate one of the rooms cause the house was too small but anyway. My mum gets up early for work and my grandmother's in bed and she hears someone yelling out about the bins "I'll take the bins down" and she yells back from bed half asleep "I've already done it last night" and this went on for like a couple minutes before my grandmother realised it was the neighbour yelling to her husband and my grandmother was yelling back and answering.
Love this build. A kind of a back story I have is that Carly and Gary tried for a baby for years, but dit not success so they decided to adopt a toddler.Thanks for al the video's lately, their very beautiful and inspirational 👍

@@DevonBumpkin punk Rock Timothy got in trouble a lot as a kid..and teen..and young adult.. and is just trouble. He wants to make it in a band as a guitarist. Rebelled against Sheila and Dave's nicey normal life and is an absolute manslag. We love Timothy. He goes by Tim, "enough for her and him-Tim" ;)

Oh my goodness! Absolutely died when you said ‘garly and carry’ Hahahah reminds me of an early shift at work and I was offering a customer milk or sugar, but I said ‘shilk or mugar’ he asked if I was new, I said I’m normally and evening staff, not the 5 o’clock in the morning staff ahah
I love the idea of doing a block of flats! I did some a while ago copying one of the buildings you can see round Newcrest and i had a lot of fun

Carly is obsessed with romcoms and tv dramas she lives vicariously though. She is also a social media addict and loves taking pictures of their kid. Gary side hustles as a DJ and Carly secretly hates it, although she enjoys going to weddings he gigs at so she can silently judge them.

It’s incredible while during the whole process I’m like “oh no oh no Aidan what are you doin that is hideous” and then when it’s done it’s incredibly pretty! Loved this one in particular although the roof seems a little weird that tall... nonetheless I lived in Helsinki and it gives me off huge Finnish vibes

Yay, I'm glad you're enjoying doing Let's Build Newcrest, because I'm after getting addicted! I'm imagining total rivalry between Sheila & Dave and Carly & Gary; the lads support rival football teams and Dave is fierce jeal. over Gary's car. Carly is fed up of Sheila offering "well-meaning" parenting advice because I mean, Sheila would totally pull the "When you're a bit older dear, and have been a parent as long as I have..." shtick. Btw, there is one tile just to the right of the door that is still the colour of the first brick you chose.
Gary and Carly have invited Sheila and Dave to 3 of their barbecues and they've never attended.
@@catherinehindle8193 Alternatively, they invited them once, Dave spent the entire time trying to commandeer the BBQ and telling Gary how he should grill the steaks and Sheila spilt red wine on Carly's white t-shirt, the two weren't invited again
I feel like Carly's the main decorator of the house, and Gary has absolutely NO say in the interior design, besides fitting a new window in now and again. Carly is a travelling nail technician/beautologist (haha) after leaving her previous Salon due to drama with the "catty bitches" she worked with, so she probably sells Avon on the side and works around the Homes Under the Hammer schedule on ITV xD her hobbies include social media, The Voice/X Factor whatever shows and dreams of one day going on one and becoming a famous celebrity. She loves a bit of Karaoke with the girls, drinks prosecco like a goldfish and gets hammered at least once a month when Bubba is off at Nans'.
Gary is Sheila and Dave's kid, probably very tanned, goes to Shagaluf or Ibiza or Benidorm once a year with The Lads. Is a down to earth guy, "happy wife is a happy life" mentality but has his own hobbies like xbox, so he probably has his own room upstairs as a 'man cave' which Carly keeps reminding him it's the kid's room when Bubba is older...and heavily hints she wants baby number 2 VERY SOON. Garys hobbies, besides xbox, probably include being a bit of a prankster, I could see him putting clingfilm on the toilet or the penny under the bottle trick for Carly to inevitability fall for, and maybe building lego sets? Could see him enjoy a little lego, maybe hes kept some from his childhood and cant wait for the bubba to grow up a bit so they can build together. He's very smart, but dumbs himself down around the Lads.
I imagine theyre not married yet, very young, early/mid 20s, Carly got Pregnant at 19 and Bubba is an oops baby but happy little accident, Gary loves her to bits even though he's not the most affectionate guy.
Ladies swoon to Gary, Carly is easily jealous and probably has emotional outbursts a lot because shes scared he'll leave her, but he's a good lad. Sheila raised him right ;)
caz and gaz forever! 💖 maaaan I have such fond memories of building this place the first time. april 2020! feels like that was both ten minutes ago and 84 years ago 😭 so cute seeing how the channel has changed since then too!! but these OG newcrest builds and characters will always be hysterically iconic imho

Here in America i used to remt a 70s midcentury-ish ranch style home that technically had an airing cupboard but we dont call them that here. That, sir, is a utility closet. I also didnt ever think to dry my laundry in it. Oh. The house even still had a phone window between the living room and kitchen for your corded phone which i thought was cool

I feel like Carly and Gary met while she was at college doing her nail technician courses, and there was a building site 5 minutes walk down the road by where she had to catch the bus to and from college. That's where Gary was learning the trade and his dad was in charge of the building site. She definitely practiced on Gary's nails at her parents house when they were out but fuck knows Gary will NEVER admit it, or admit that he still lets her practice on a chilled out Sunday night... despite the fact she's skilled enough not to need to practice anymore!
His videos are amazing I just finished his whole dream house lest build series and it inspired me A LOT and actually changed what my favorite style of build was

Hi Aiden! This is just gold! STUNNING! I started watching the council towers and now going back to watch them all so I can get well acquainted with ALL the residents! I made a comment yesterday on the 70s house (under the name of Art) about making some kind of book or magazine (new idea) about Hillcrest and the shananigans! I will volunteer to go around all the properties and do like a CENSUS hahaha and make sure we all know the names (who lives in the 70s house ???? hahahah) You seem to like the name Gary as well, son of David and ...shirley? in the 70s house and the builder married to carly! LOL I love it....Looking forward to the soap opera to commence!! :D Anyone any ideas about how we could approach the magazine or book? I do enjoy writing so I volunteer to keep note of what happens and create episodes for the said shananigans!
For some reason when you said Carly (or perhaps Karli? A Karli would definitely have live love laugh on her wall) i got the name Lucas into my head, but if Gary is going to be Gary, perhaps their kid could be Lucas? He could be a shy little kid who loves dinosaurs, and Sheila is always offering to babysit because ’he reminds me so much of my little Timothy!’ but Karli finds her a bit creepy honestly lol

I always leave the bin/trash can out front because if I don't I will forget to bring it out to the road on trash day. Sometimes when I forget, I will wake up at like 7am and be like, "The trash!" and run out and bring them out to the road before the garbage men come 😭😂. Sometimes I'm just in the nick of time!

Carly and Garry (Gaz to his mates) definitely met on a booze filled night out in West Newcrest. Carly got knocked up the first night they spent together so they're not married yet because they've not known each other for all that long. Their kid definitely has some super alternative name like Zaire or Tempest, something odd along those lines. Gaz is an absolute gym junkie for sure, got to stay buff to keep up with the lads on the worksite, definitely hits up the local pub on the daily. Carly seems like she would really think highly of herself, like Kardashian level ego, and she loves to brag about how successful she is (you're a nail tech love calm down).
Also feel like they'd have a french bulldog, not because they love dogs, but because Carly just needs good simstagram content. She seems like the type that would constantly exploit her baby and dog for likes.

Speaking of council flats, I live in one but it is a house with two flats, and I live in the top one! That might be an idea if you wanted it to look similar to the other buildings surrounding it. I also call these houses cookie cutter houses, there’s a fair few round up here in the north, one just been built in my town, and the fact they were up in less than 6 months is quite scary, but it was interesting seeing how they progressed every week I went to work on the bus.
I’m getting Mrs Hinch vibes for the insta-perfect house, the greys and silvers. She should definitely be a social media influencer, maybe the spare room could be her filming room. Their son would definitely be an Archie or a Ronnie

You should find the dog poop in debug & plop a few poops in their front yard. On occasion Polly escapes the neighbors and leaves them little treasures which pisses Gary off to no end. Him and Dave have a silent feud over the dog poop war.

Sheila feels a special bond to next door Gary since her son is named Gary, and its up to the point that Carly does NOT like Sheila. At the moment you haven't realized that you missed one slab of brown brick at the front to the right! I hope you will see that , since I am typing while you still play hahaha. ---There for it!! -- i said it , ten points for me! YAY And they would definitely grow weed ! hahaha

I love the council flats idea. Like 2020 versions of trying to be eco, yet income based. Have you ever thought of converting a section of the Town based on a series like Brookside, EastEnders, coronation Street or a British show where the neighbors are confined to one section of a Town. In your reimagined take. Lots of areas for Timothy to put down in. 🤣😅 Made with pubic hair and glue...😭
Story line. Carla had affair with her executive level Carly. Gary found out because of a careless slip up. After confronting Carly and venting his frustrations. The decided to seek apothecary alternative cousling in order to save their marriage, so after sometime Carly agreed to have a baby after putting it off for year's, and relocate from the main City to settle in this area.

Love the description as 'a little bit chavy'(which is a word I've never actually had to spell before) I used to have the airing cupboard in my bedroom that also had daylight all day... on hot days it was like Mordor in there.
For the flats maybe have a converted pub (my local pub was recently turned into 6 flats) though the idea of council flats is very interesting .
Loving this series and really enjoying seeing all these British buildings in the sims.
Love this idea, but I'm definitely thinking more 80's block of flats. Like Only Fools and Horses.. lol

Garly and Carrie 👌 I’m getting strong “Teacher” vibes from this lot. Maybe Carrie and Garly were high school sweethearts and then both went for an education carreer - she’s a fitness nut and a PE teacher and he’s the dreamer and teaches social sciences. They eat healthy, are big fans of Greta and only have one car because they can commute together ☺️

You have a thing about the name Gary too 😂 I’d say Timothy buggered of to Spain or something to get away from his mum but Gary had to move next door with his girlfriend as Sheila and Dave are the land lords and wanted him to have a comfortable home because he got Carly up the duff. Silly bum.
