I just now noticed this, but there's a shit ton of vampire symbolism in this song. And it's super subtle, blink-and-you-miss-it stuff but once you really look it's EVERYWHERE.
1) There's a general theme of parasitism, masochism/sadism, and hedonism throughout the whole song. The metaphor should be obvious.
2) Same goes for all the talk about murder and death. And how the love interest is described as an ethereal but revolting creature.
3) In the chorus, the singer mentions his love interest draining him, coffins, and (and this is a big'un) how she travels through moonbeams, which is one of the more obscure vampire powers mentioned in Bram Stoker's Dracula.
4) "you suck so passionately" is already brimming with double entendre, but it can't hurt to had some more.
5) "you're born of a jackal!" This a reference to the film The Omen, in which Damien the Antichrist is literally born of a jackal. Vampires have always historically been associated with Satan/Satanism.
All this is super clever and really gives the song a subliminally creepy yet alluring vibe. It's a really great supplement to the hate-love relationship at core of the song.
(It's also very easy to imagine this song coming from the perspective an ancient vampire chick's on-and-off vampire boyfriend who she turned in the 1700s and likes to show up, drunk, and kill the mood at her evil vampire parties by shouting basically this song.)

yeah but i mean thats for calls, i highly doubt they let this 14 year old kid listen to their ipod in a mental hospital (assuming they actually went to one)
natsumefucker69 i didnt fully answer your question. usually, depending on the level of danger you are to yourself or others, usually they are fairly lenient. this girl i knew had two nintendo ds' and we would play together cause they had the ability to sync to eachother. she had to give them back when she wasnt playing though. we could go outside but had to stay on campus. i had my mp3 player, too poor to own an ipod, with me at all times. i went to sleep with it. when i first went there i was sorta surprised myself how much tgey allowed. when someone has a therapist they tell no one anything of the content of the information. they have full confidentiality. they cant tell my mom or the president if he asks. full confidentiality unless two things -if i am a danger to myself or others OR i say she can. the hospital i had to stay paid little attention to "stable individuals" i watched a guy shoot oxy contin in the bathroom his friend brought him the syringe and the pill and the spoon. several people had cigarettes we just had to go outside behind a corner.... so yeah i believe him. its different than you might think.
i mean it sounds more like your hospital wasnt doing very good safety control? (no offense lol), i mean i dont think most would just allow people to smoke cigs and shoot oxycontin, from my experiences they have better watch on the patients
