I 've watched this a few times over the years, and am moved by it each time. I watch it even if it's not New Year :)

True everlasting riches.. Knowing how much you already and being able to enjoy the company of those around you. And also be willing to share and give no matter how much you have and expecting nothing in return. That's true happiness.

The home haircut with newspapers on the floor and the newspaper with a hole for my head, reminds me of my mum cutting my hair :-)

Great short movie about Chinese New Year, a short less than 15 min film depicted the scene in Singapore from the still underdeveloped late 60s/early 70s to the booming and prospering Singapore of the 90s. Great to see how this simple and hard working family bring up and educate their offsrpings

I am so moved by this short movie, the cast are ordinary like us. Reminds me of my younger days. Thanks to Edwin who shared with me. Its all about Family VAlue and Giving.

Good old days in Singapore, Chinese celebration of Lunar New Year. Nowadays, erosion of Chinese culture here, modernisation and western influence here.

Hokkian language is a nice language. Sadly, it is not much spoken dialect in Singapore these days. Mandarin is the main language spoken by most Singaporean, these days.

Very heart warming - especially for those Singaporeans out there who are overseas and can't make it back for CNY :)
