- In this chat, Fearne and Donna Lancaster explore how to be an emotional detective - how to be curious and search for the things in your past that have made you who you are - and how to recognise what your personal boundaries are.
What do you practice in order to figure out what your personal boundaries are? 💛
We don’t just feel grief after a bereavement, we can feel it as a result of many different types of loss: loss of health, loss of childhood, loss of the creative part of yourself.
Coach and therapist Donna Lancaster explains why grief is valid in all these scenarios, and how to work through the heartbreak both mentally and physically.
‘The Bridge: A nine-step crossing into authentic and wholehearted living’ by Donna Lancaster is available now (Penguin Life, £16.99).
Donna Lancaster has worked as a coach and therapist for more than 25 years. She was formerly the head of teaching at the Hoffman Institute UK. She co-created The Bridge Retreat, a six-day personal development experience.

Such a relevant topic. Donna is extremely insightful, sensitive and empowering. Thank you so much for this. I'm watching it for the second time today and will definitely watch again.
Yes! Totally agree that you are a recipe for joy, Fearne! What I found to help me in marking personal boundaries is from something I learned during school fire drill training. The stop, drop, and roll technique is useful in extinguishing a fire that's caught hold of me, so to speak. So as soon as I feel a "burning" sensation, I am reminded to stop and tend to it before it kills me.
What a wonderful podcast, I have watched it several times and today ordered The Bridge book. Thank you.

Walk away from things or people I do not want around…. My boundaries are pretty visible BUT there is a gate! Also like the Buffalo best to run into the storm and get it over and breathe
