    can you do a review of a print and cut to see how the ARMS works on the Titian3

    So I have a plotter. It's old but works well. It's a graphtec under the hood but a vinyl express on the cover. It has pich rollers that the drum underneath has like little pin pricks. It tends not to walk much. However I just did an airplane leading edge with ppf 8" wide by like 9ft. It walked really bad and nothing I could do to stop it but move the pattern inward to the center and use a 48" roll. I would like to know what you think about tracking straight and using a thicker plastic backed material(ppf).

    Does this cut 25 mm hartco sandblast stencil, they say it does but would like to know how well?

      +Claw Craziness if it says it does then I'm sure it does it well. I do not cut sandblast stencil

    Thanks for the great videos! I got excited and bought a 53' Titan 3 Special Edition from US Cutter. Your videos are greatly appreciated as I am new to this venture! Looking forward to sharing ideas. I'm on Facebook as Jim Hunsucker. I'm the one with over 100 paintings on my FB page. My hobby for over 42 years.

    Awesome review just picked up the Titan 3. Was wondering if you could share where you get ur vinyl...how to price out jobs etc...any help would b greatly appreciated thank u

  • @mrpharill

    does it not auto search the vinyl for size and dimension? Like, I've used a Mimaki and it would automatically search the x & y of the vinyl instead of manually doing it like you are in the video. are you "choosing" to do that or is that the only option? Hey thanks

    If Im not mistaken, On US Cutter site, it says that it's a Stepper Motor, not a Servo Motor.(Update)-......Sorry this is a Servo motor.Its the newer model.

    • @PikesPeakGraphicsDecals
      @PikesPeakGraphicsDecals  9 лет назад

      +vmagroup Stepper motors are cheap and I have the Titan 3, they do not make a Titan 3 with a stepper motor, only servo motor.

      You're absolutely right! I was getting it confused with the Titan 1 when I was looking on their site.....I was about to purchase the SC Series to save money, but it had a stepper motor. I became very reluctant.luckly I saw your video. Im considering getting a Titan 3 simply because of the servo motor. I think I should save up my money to get the Titan. What do you think?

    Hi james we just purchased the titan 3 how do you load the blades I haven't found a video on it yet

  • @michaelvagg8541
    @michaelvagg8541 8 лет назад

    Hi James I'm trying to find a machine that can cut out the vinyl including the backing paper and notch the stock to it wont fall out during the cutting process. an example would be when we need to top cut around a label and the full cut around the label to remove the label cleanly with a couple of notches/nicks to hold the label in place. Currently we top cut on our Roland then we die cut with a knife on the Heidelberg cylinder. I want to find a cheaper solution than this expensive 2 step process.

    Have you ever use the options button? What do the adjustments do on the back of the rollers. Any suggestions on making it track better

    It's been a year. How do you feel about this cutter now??
    Should have thought to ask you this earlier. After hours of research over several weeks I'm finally buying my cutter tonight. Thanks partly to your videos this is the machine I'm getting.

    What is the total cutting area that can be used. How much of the 15" vinyl can be cut from edge to edge?

    • @PikesPeakGraphicsDecals
      @PikesPeakGraphicsDecals  9 лет назад

      +Stephen Skinner 11"-12" from egde to edge

      +kustom Signz 719 does that mean there is a 2" margin all around? That is a lot of waste.

    Hi I was wondering if you would recommend this for cutting vinyl for t-shirts? I'm in the process of starting my own business and I'm just wanting to chose the best cutter for what I need.

    My Roland GX-24 just started flaking out on me after 4 years of heavy use. I run about 100 yards per month for the same customer, always on 3.2 mm mask. Would love to know if you think the savings from this versus the Roland is worth it, and if you think it will hold up. Thanks.

      100 yds a month is cake walk even with my old master brand plotter. I only cut 6 inch block lettering though.😁

    ooh she is so quiet! I recommend to anyone, if you're going to bother with making signs as a business, skip any of the sub $800 plotters. The Titan had a perfect entry level price point. I'd like to see a video comparing the Titan 1, 2 and 3, but I understand that would be hard to get all the machines together... A stand off! I just bought the Titan 1, I'm sure it will serve its purpose. Wish I had the extra $$$ to get the Titan 3. My dream is a Roland Versacamm, I operated one for a while and fell in love with it. Nothing like eco solvent inks and cutting reflective like butter... Also, will these machines cut reflective? Needs about 400-450 grams of force...

    • @PikesPeakGraphicsDecals
      @PikesPeakGraphicsDecals  9 лет назад

      +Tuna Melt I know the Titan 3 can cut reflective I think Titan 3 has up to 750 g of force, not sure about Titan 2.

    hi kurstin if the machine is pausing in the middle of a cut, it is not your machine. its your software or computer. change your screen saver time limit. if your computer goes black because its on idle your machine will stop until you come back to your computer and wake it up. also it could be the software is slower to transfer the info to the cutter, so the cutter stops and waits for the data to catch up. you can call uscutter and they will make your software spit out more chunks of information to keep up with your fast cutter

    how does it work with the rollers. do you have to roll out the material your going to need before you start cutting or will it feed right from the roll with messing up the cut when it runs out of slack. i am ordering the 54in tomorrow. thanks

    So this plotter does not automatically measure width and set the 0 point on the media? You have to manually set it?

  • @supremelogic7301

    which blade should I use with the Titan? The reason for the question is because I received 3 with the cutter.

  • @DNice7807
    @DNice7807 9 лет назад

    Any reason aside from price you decide to go with this machine vs the roland gx24 again? I'm in the market for another plotter and I'm stuck between the titan 3 and gx24 the prices aren't that far off especially with both models having sales right now but there's not many reviews on the titan 3 and the gx24 seems to have a solid reputation and following. Just wanted to know if you prefer one over the other now that you worked with both. Appreciate any info and thanks for the review literally the only one on the web

    • @PikesPeakGraphicsDecals
      @PikesPeakGraphicsDecals  9 лет назад

      DNice7807 I love the Roland GX-24 to death...I hate the cutting program that comes with it, its very restrictive in my opinion. If you are using AI or another program and strictly cutting from Roland cut studio...then your good to go. But I do 99.9% of all my editing and text from the cut programs, and I love Sure Cuts A Lot Pro3, it is so easy to use I can do anything with my eyes closed. Also The titan is a work horse, never one hick up. I use it everyday. Its solid in my opinion. You can never go wrong with a Roland...but the Titan 3 has been 100% acceptable !

    • @DNice7807
      @DNice7807 9 лет назад

      James Ortiz I do use AI but also make the cut which is the program for my KnK Zing its a great little machine and just looking to lighten its load and while I'm at it upgrade to a servo motor and also lager cutting bed. I mainly do small logos and stencils for painting sneakers I figure if I can pull off the small stuff on the zing small shouldn't be a problem for either the titan or the Roland, in you opinion do you think one cuts smaller more detailed stuff better?

    • @PikesPeakGraphicsDecals
      @PikesPeakGraphicsDecals  9 лет назад

      DNice7807 yes servo cuts smaller then any stepper motor, it is a fact.

    Hey James I have a question. I just got my titan 3 in yesterday and Im having problems with it. It will not stay connected to the computer I guess. Almost every time it will pause in the middle of a cut or just not work at all. Have you had any problems with this cutter. I watched your review and your one of the reasons I got this one lol I had a plotter and it was super loud and would pause and mess up too. Im getting really aggravated with it and just wanted to see if you know of a trick or something I can do to fix this before I call USCUTTER and send it back. Thanks!

    This Titan 3 machine does not auto search the dimensions like a Mimaki or a Roland.
