    This guy is quite full of himself. His baseless accusation that all the hotel employees lied to him seems just what he wants to believe. He wants to play the victim, it's clear he loves the drama.
    Much more likely is that they realised who he was (probably cause he told them, since his entire vibe screams "arrogant d-bag") and they cancelled some other guest's room who didn't have his 'leverage'.

    The Hotel or hospitality industry is in a state of disarray with poorly trained staff and pressure to keep the herd of suckers moving along the assembly line. The ultimate cost to the hotels in lawsuits should offset the marginal profits from the trend of routine overbooking to secure a couple of percentage points in profit. Where is the voice of risk management or guest relations?

    Glenn is awesome. He gets it. Anytime there is a discrepancy in any process try to look for the simplest technology that can solve that problem forever.
