I'm a Pies fan but I love your channel, I know Carlton is your go to team, but you give honest analysis of all teams, keep up the good work. Still want that Collingwood/Carlton Grand Final this year........🏉🏉🏉🏉
Like some people have said here, I feel like it would be best off for Carlton to avoid selecting a past player for president and to maybe promote someone from a lower rank. This would help to provide the blues to bring in a new voice for the club and to help guide them in the right path heading into 2025.
Love your work Pom! My thoughts on Sheezel are that he's 100% bound to roll through that midfield and not only there but to shift up to HF too and seriously impact games in every facet. 65% midfield while 35% half-forward feels the right kind of balance from me. With the likes of Wardlaw, Mckercher, Powell and FOS I really believe there's a quality quintet there for a long long time and Sheezel is by far the tip of that NM spearhead in the future. Got all the qualities to take his career to the very pinnacles of the AFL Sheezel and might just be the only player to realistically climb that 400 game mark too. The accolades and rewards for his work in-between all that though? THAT'S some career to watch out for!
Love your content Pommy, keep it up. Definitely would pick Mike Fitzpatrick, a few years ago I even had him as my next pick. He's well spoken, switched on, has the right knowledge, he'd be great.
Wee bit cold? Here in Kansas we had a balmy night; 15 Fahrenheit - much better than a few days ago when it was 1 yes, you got it ONE. Brass Monkey's time.
Fitzpatrick would be a good pick as president, whether he’d want to do it is anyone’s guess,I’d take Sheezel over Daicos any day,he’ll go down as one of North’s finest ever players by the time he retires and they had some absolute greats play for them, btw Pom we’re melting here in Perth,we’ve had a heatwave this week and another one on the way next week🥵keep the great out of season content coming mate, much appreciated
Yeah if it's external he's been there done it. My only reservation with fitz was the way the afl tried to brush off essendon as not their issue and they'd done due diligence so that makes me wary of anyone who will mask truth
Gonna be a big change for him, think he's got the iq to alleviate it. Be interesting how the coach negates it. We see it almost become a negative to tag daicos at times as his iq can take you to deep water and then cut you up on the outside with a neat handball
I think a total clean out at the top is in Carlton's best long term interest. The culture at the top desperately needs to change. For too long the 'Mafioso' style of running a club has prevailed. A knock on your front door, and then your sleeping with the fishes. I'm completely jealous that the Roos have Sheezel, he would have looked so much better in Gold and Brown. Our list is full, but I really hope that DGB gets a spot at Carlton (you could do with a bit of white line fever 😊)
@PommyinOZ Quite popular, great attitude, can be very aggressive. First couple of years, he really had to fill out. He was like a twig. A tall who was always going to take time to develop. Our recruiting has been such that he is really surplus to our needs now, with Sicily, Scrimshaw, Frost, Barrass, Battle, Serong and now with McCabe and Mraz developing.
@wayne9812 love it mate. Looking forward to seeing him. You blokes are stacked with you back talent. Was super hot on denver in his draft year so hopefully we can get him going
Sheezel will be spoken of like Daicos has been, once north start to win games and threaten other teams more effectively north's talent will get the attention it deserves from wider media coverage. bit biased though, 3 is my lucky number.
Deffo. Couldn't agree more. Think we're in a privileged position with all the young talent we have. Seeing the daicos reid sheezel midfields is going to be a joy to watch
G'day mate, feeling the nerves start to twitch, games, well sort of, not that far away. Actually looking forward to the gaints hit out, close to a real game we'll get before opening round. Understand both clubs won't be giving all the secrets away but the gaints natural speed has been our game plans poision last couple of years, this hit out will give some indicaction if we're done something about that flaw. Got to think with Newman out matt Carrol has to be a pick as long as the injury issue isn't on going, blues would have that info. With you mate think Barras worth a chance. Durdin, had his oppertunites not good enough and to fragile. Liam, if they put newman on long turn injury you might give liam a go but he isn't proity, we're not short of great forwards. Who ever takes over the presidency we have to keep any Mathieson and any of their friends from the club, he can smell a chance to get claws into the board again. Tom Elloit, NO, his old man nearly destoyed us and not sure the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. The whole things bullshit mate, including the AFL report, if he came out straight away and owned it with out excuses, would it have saved him, hard with our Respect women program but it wasn't sent to an unwilling recipient with their outrage hitting headlines. Probably had to go in the end but he and the club wouldn't look half as stupid with their silence and then excuses. Sheezel is a great talent fits the mids position perfectly, going to have a champion year in a still struggling side. Hawks caught the contenders and near contends napping, none of these clubs will be asleep to them this year, a lot of pre-season planning into their game is being done, haven't a doubt. Think they'll be trouble for a lot of teams still, just wonder, now their expectation have changed from the start, how players will handle the individual attention they'll get. Coming into the season they know there's a lot more to lose if they don't perform than at the start of last year, the minds a mine field if you let it be. A pleasure as always mate, Go Pom, Go Blues.
Love thr synopsis. Yeah for me I want a strong leader and someone that will compliment the growing list we have. Hawks I think lose the element of surprise so gonna be a bit tougher! Gonna be a cracking year I feel
I reckon Durdin will get the nod over Denver. Denver is not as much of a stopper which I think Carlton would prefer as it gives us more flexibility with Weitering.
Think he's got a real chance forward to be honest. Charlie and Harry I swear get played 40% like last year. Liam can more than hold an end up, saw lemmey float down back he needs some variety but liam for me could be a solid 2nd forward
Team selection show and review preview stays, we added a select game too so we will do carlton and then another random game with a watch along and the selection show and vfl wrap will be there too
Chabge does not mean i stabi, ity. It's the opposite. Get in all new board members, get rid of all Sayers' recruits. Get someone who's innovative, squeaky clean...eg no ex pollies or sus businessmen. Someone who lives for Carlton and will be a visible presence there at all times, not sitting in his office upstairs or somewhere else and who's not afraid to walk outside the field fence and talk to members.
Agree with the latter. My concern is if it's someone who is going to totally rock the apple cart 2 months out for the year that's too much upheaval. I hope we have someone interim like Rob and patty and then September let's go full ham when the dust settles. But the next one has to be more ground level
@debbieoconnor976 want as little disruption. Truth is no one will do anything this close to season. Wait it out till end of year for me then if they need to adjust tact they've got a full trade window and not upheaving 5 weeks pre footy starts
Looking at his fantasy numbers if it's latter half of year he was flying SC wise and with natural progression of his side think he'll be a solid stable
@@PommyinOZ I like fantasy because it was the original. I don't like how in SC you're watching a game , a guy gets 40 touches and you check his scores and he gets 80 because there's like 20 factors into a players score. I like the simplicity of watching a game and just knowing getting the ball on the boot gets you points :)
Rats in the kitchen 😂 Carlton love a distraction IMO . What a perfect distraction while they fuck around. I think they already know what they’re going to do. I think they knew when they told Luke to step down so no one else gets embarrassed.
Too true I hope it's a co presidency to be honest. Sayers was having 1 more year, just continue as is and promote the join vps and next year go hard when we know what chips are left
I'm a Pies fan but I love your channel, I know Carlton is your go to team, but you give honest analysis of all teams, keep up the good work. Still want that Collingwood/Carlton Grand Final this year........🏉🏉🏉🏉
Thanks mate. Yeah I love footy first before loyalty same with my native game, try to keep it impartial as much as I can 🤣🤣🤣
Matthew Kennedy is tearing it up at the bulldogs I think he is in for one of his best seasons
Hope he does, great oppo there for him, shame we never really went with him as the bull for cripps until it was too late
💙 love the work brother
💙💙💙
Happy New Year Pommy still love the channel👍

Yeah for the long term he's good but i think they need a short term fix too, at least for the season
Definitely! Hopefully we sort it out.
Dont know how into fantasy you are pom but id be interested to see a vid on your starting team if you have one
Yeah gonna do normal fantasy this year for a bit of a laugh
Our next president should not be past players we should promote from within the ranks great videovpom
Totally agree
Wee bit cold? Here in Kansas we had a balmy night; 15 Fahrenheit - much better than a few days ago when it was 1 yes, you got it ONE. Brass Monkey's time.
It's so inconsistent out here in Melbourne. Truth be told I miss the negative mornings in uk 🤣🤣🤣
DGB I think would be a great pick up
Yeah I really like him
Kouta would be a good president because I saw him kick a goal once
🎣
Kouta is going into politics against the Greens
A politician is the last person we want or need. An ex player is ideal , just not a geriatric
Not a fan of the ex player without experience in the industry personally.
The Gorilla from the Souvlaki Hut ad gets my vote
No mention of the Chad Warner real estate story?
Didn't really see it as major news 😕 but will keep it on the burner
100% Mike fitzpatrick
Seems to be the vibe
Harry will dominate as a full time midfielder
Couldn't agree more

I'm a huge daicos fan boy 🤣🤣🤣 so I'd take both
@@PommyinOZ Wait to he has somebody hanging on to his jumper at every stoppage and then we can revisit.

From a experience stand point he has all the boxes I would expect a stand out to have on paper prem experience and afl inner working experience
Agree

I'd like to keep it with co presidents this year and we address it at the end to be honest a bit of continuity
Agree, co- Presidents until the 2025 season is over.
My first choice would be Mike Fitzpatrick. If he is not available then wait till the end of the season before opening up every position on the board!
Mike Fitzpatrick is the best for the new president of the mighty blues
