Have you ever made the two ingredient strawberry shortcake to take on a picnic? Twinkies, which have the whipped cream center, and frozen sliced strawberries. Open a Twinkie, pour on berries, eat then toss all paper products away. Yummy and easy. If you can’t afford a pound of bacon in your cabbage, add liquid gold (bacon grease from your frig) to cook your cabbage in. It all looks delicious. Brooke. Thanks for sharing. Yup to the bacon grease. I have 8 containers of Bacon Up bacon grease in my freezer to get through the winter....besides it was a great sale at local grocery store. I use it in tons of things....😋

I've never had cornbread salad, I don't remember any of my grandparents making it, but by the looks of it I already know I would eat the heck out of that stuff 😂. I'm definitely going to be making that.

Set some cracked red pepper and some parmesan shaker cheese on the counter. Stack of plates, forks, spoons, pasta drain n serve utensil. Bread out the bag sandwich bread, butter and a knife on the counter, i added 4 T minced garlic to the butter and half teaspoon pink salt. Boom! They arent going to die without a side dish cuz thats the bread. Package of Oreos up there for dessert. Milk. Water. Im off to bed.

We all have our nemesis. My momma could cook about anything, no recipe needed. Jello defeated her, every time. It was hysterical! We made it side by side once. Used the same hot water from the same kettle, same cold water from the same water cooler. Same brand of jello. Mine was perfect, hers had to be consumed via a straw. My personal nemesis is pot roast. No matter what, it’s dry and flavorless. I still try twice a year (36 years). Still no success.
I just got in from working to. Had to feed the animals but sat outside and watched your video with them. Again, your meal looks superb!! And this one might be easier than your other meals but it still was WORK!!! Lots of love in your home. Thank you for sharing.

Western Maine mountains here. Off grid on top of a mountain. What do you mean you don't wash your potatoes before you peel them, why would you ..... Oh wait, I don't wash them before hand either 😂😂. We love sauteed cabbage in bacon grease. I like to finish off with a few splashes of balsamic vinegar. I'm going to try the creamy BBQ chicken recipe, cooked slowly in the wood stove! Maybe even change it up a bit and use wild rabbit!! Simple dinner for us tonight. Home made canned spam, (pressure canned) boiled and sauteed potatoes and home grown canned string beans. Absolutely love your channel!! ❤❤

I like my strawberry shortcake with Angel food cake as well but growing up it was always made with drop biscuits that had sugar sprinkled on top. You make me want to do Sunday dinners as well but we’re only three and two are under 10 and not quite out of the picky eater phase. I too love this series the other one that I liked a lot was we have dinner at home copy cat recipes. Keep being you beautiful.

Get one of the Betty Crocker Angel food cakes, all you add is water. Put it in a bundt cake and bake. Super easy.
