My usual combo is something like this (test this on Fat Chocobo for example): 1. Have full meter on Tifa and Aeirth (and preferably close to full on Cloud as well). 2. Be at Chi level 3 with Tifa. 3. Stagger enemy. 4a. Use Rise and Fall + Omnistrike + 2xTrue Strikes. 4b. Use the Ray thingy with Aerith (start as soon as staggered). 4c. Use Clouds Braver/2atb cost Braver variant (the second one has a long animation so you should start it quite early). 5. See the monster have around 280% increased stagger damage. 6. See the 9999 damage limit being reached by Cloud ^^ (pretty consistently)

You would expect that if you played the first kingdom hearts since when you hit stopped enemies they don’t lose hp but once stop wears off it looks like time stop from jojos bizarre adventure since they just stun lock to death

Cloud's infinity's End with Element + Materia of corresponding weakness, after having increase the stagger bonus with Tifa and Aerith is crazy to, most likely will be the first attack to hit 9999 damage ^^. Also Aerith's arcane ward with -ga tier spells is crazy.
Yup! But I figured out a better strategy or route for cloud rather than using infinity End. It's in my new tips video but basically use two bravers instead. Theyre faster than infinity's end. They do about 6.5-7k damage depending on your build. And only cost 1 atb. So you can get a total of almost 13-14k damage off two bravers while staggers versus 2 bars infinity End for 9999 cap.

Whoever has Time Materia and access to stop, should equip with the Taro Card. It extends the Stop duration. Furthermore, if you have the person using Stop also have +10% Debuff duration on their weapon upgrade, it prolongs at least an additional second. Additionally, if you use stop on the same target repetitively, it's effect get reduce to the point that they eventually become immune to it. Sucks it doesn't work the other way around for our characters (we always fall asleep or get stopped all the time). I was testing this on Rude when fighting him, thought I could play around with him for a bit, but eventually Stop no longer works on him.
I'd love to see it, it has some serious competition with cyber punk and the last of us two(if those even come out lol) but either way it's going to be a great year for gaming! Many people don't want it to since its a remake. But I'm sure those people haven't played this game and seen how different it is.
@@BltzZ To be fair this game is amazing, but the ending is kind of a mess, and the fact it's more linear than people expect it to be make me doubt it will be considere GOTY.
The original FF7 beginning portions that this same game covers was just as linear and if not even more. So they just followed the formula. My honest opinion I think it will be a strong candidate. Because linearity isn't something they consider with goty titles. But ultimately cyberpunk could take it all home. They almost won goty 2 times with Witcher 3 but the got the 1
I find the Gameplay inferior to KH2+3, Tales of Berseria (similar, but better Gameplay) and DMC5 since it misses the control and sense of satisfaction other Action Games have. My main issue is that when you get hit, it takes ages to get back up or recover, in KH2 and 3 you have an ability that makes you recover faster from being flung away and getting back into the fight, this game misses that mechanic completely. Also when you have to deal with a lot of enemies at once the camera is just terrible to keep track of what the enemies do even when you set your ingame option to zoom out as much as possible, the targeting system is really wobbly, I see myself a lot of time not attacking what I want despite holding the Stick in that direction. There is barely any animation Cancels, except for Tifa, which more often then not get's you hit cause you are stuck in an animation that is 3 swings long, while the enemies seemingly are way more agile. While I have seen a lot of Videos with no damage Bosses that make the system look really cool, the average person will not find that degree of play. I have nearly beaten the game on Hard mode (90 Hours) and needed maybe 2 Tries per Boss, but this game, for me, lacks what makes other Action RPG's great. Tales of Berseria is most similar to the FF7R while also a JRPG. I loved the Gameplay and Story a lot in that game and it is similar to FF7R Gameplay, but vastly better in execution. So I don't see it as GOTY at all... and I am sad to say that as a huge FF7 fan, I welcomed that the game would become more Action oriented, but the Kind of Action Game it became is a huge dissapointment.
I'd love to see the recovery move implemented into this game because I hate when you're knocked down and trying to get up only to get hit down again lol. It's definitely got some work to do I hope they tweak some things with the way targeting works for remake 2 and just make improvements on the areas that are needed

Omg i wish i pay attention to this video and in game tutoroal earlier, i was always playing under assumption that stagger meter only increased by attacking enemy weaknesses, Turn out there are another way, Thanks for the tutorial, my playstyle will drastically changes after this

That's awesome to hear man! Tifa is my favorite too. I love to get the fights started as cloud but then switch to her to apply pressure and crazy chi trap damages. Then oh lord when they get staggered she wrecks holy hell!
Cloud for sure is the most well rounded and great for everything tbh. It comes down to preference and of course the situation you're in haha. Tifa is high burst damage and stagger damage but very weak with health and defense. She makes up for it in damage and speed
Was actually surprised by the stop effect on stagger. Tkx. Also, if you haven't tried before, you mentioned that Tifa's triangle attacks are the only ones that increase stagger damage... I believe that she has another, the skill learned from the pink gloves, true strike. If I'm not mistaken, it increases stagger damage by about 30%.

You forgot a special property of magic related to stagger/pressure. Blizzard gimmick is that it has way more stagger power than any other magic. So basically if they are pressured, blizzard/ara/aga can be as effective as any other focused attack. Aerith can use this magic to provide stagger.
This video was made a while ago and I've since learned about that. But at the time I made this video I hadn't even beaten the game yet. Sorry for not including it into this but that's just what happened 🤷🏾♂️
I get the most Stagger Damage by doing Rising Fall > Omnistrike > Charge > Omnistrike > Charge > Omni strike. Omni strike is much quicker than uppercut. It does something 15% Stagger increase. I guess if you're 1v1 doing the whole combo might help but I typically finish enemies with infinity edge. I'll start infinity edge on cloud and then spam stagger building skills.
Yup that's the goal right there! Initiate stagger then switch to cloud for infinities end then back to tifa to build up percentages during clouds long startup time! I didn’t know Focus Attacks increases the Stagger meter a ton when the enemy is pressured. So that’s what they meant. Man, I’m learning new stuff everyday with you guide. Thank you very much! I didn’t care for the Time materia either but this guide makes me want to try it after hearing it freezes stagger gauge. Hopefully, it goes well.

damn, thats new for me man,, the game really never fails to amaze me with the mechanics,, in the orig ff7, best way to use status illness materia is to combine it with added effect,, it works kinda like the elemental materia, like if u use it with poison and put it in wpn, your attacks can inflict poison, and if in shield, can resist to poison, im suprised it never made it here, maybe because if u use it with the stop materia, you will be so op, hehe

This is the best video I’ve seen yet explaining combat... I’m a new final fantasy player and was so confused how this combat shit works.... only thing i dont understand, how do you add an element to clouds sword?
So there is a materia called elemental. What you do is equip elemental on the weapon and on the second joined slot you can put ice fire or lightning etc to give cloud or other players that added effect. Yes it does freeze pressure. I saw someone else commented confirming this and thought it was in response to this comment but I guess not and I'm sorry. But yes it's confirmed it freezes pressure as well!
"In the original FF7 I never cared or used stop" And that is true for most FFs. The enemies that you can Stop die easily so you don't need it. The enemies that are hard and you could benefit from it are immune or hard to inflict (high magic evasion combined with low spell hit rate), but even if you do hit they have heavy (like boss) status so the effect is very very short. FF7 unlike other FFs has has a secure way to do it trough Dazers. That is why you may see it used by experienced players in low level challenges or enigmatic boss battles as Ruby.

Very similar to my combo in her advanced guide I'm making although I go True strike first then rise and fall, true strike again, omnistrike, uppercut and dive kick. Puts the opponent in massive hurt. Mainly on bosses but medium sized enemies will die before the omnistrike 😂
It blows my mind when I think about how much more crazier it can get when we get more materia in remake part 2! Checkout the infinite health build and the instant limit break build :D
I'm actually happy Tifa is such a great character to play in the Remake. She was pretty bad in the OG FF7 with a really bad Ultimate weapon as well, her stats was on the lower side, and her Final Heaven was kind of annoying as it is roulette RNG based.
So wait, with Tifa you should use Rise & Fall, Omnistrike then Uppercut, all back to back to back while the enemy is Staggered? I figured it was most efficient to at least string in a regular basic attack combo in between each one first, but is that not the case for some reason? I'm just so used to doing a basic Square button combo string in between Triangle button presses, is this not always the way to go & if not, why?
Been playing Remake on hard difficulty in anticipation for Rebirth. Stop on stagger is going to be clutch!!! Assess has been a lifesaver too. I wasn’t intentionally going for the platinum trophy but I think I’m going to get it.

There is so much to take in that I cant comprehend it all. It seems like I have to change my gear constantly just so I have the upper hand with an enemy. Like I just want my own shit and not change it. But that's not how it works. Such a fucking pain in the ass game.

Can you explain how Tifa's Overpower works? It apparently helps to pressure enemies, but I feel like it barely does anything at all... even with max Chi. On Normal enemies it seems just Spamming Divekick is the best
Are you following it up with a combo right after? If tifa is in chi level 2 or 3 and uses overpower then continues mashing square. Right after she has a high chance of interrupting spells or pressuring enemies. I'm finish up the tifa advanced guide which will have all of this stay tuned for later today!

I use Overpower with Tifa all the time, but it just doesn't seem to work in Pressuring enemies any faster. At some point I just gave up and Spam DiveKick...
Overpower depends on the enemy or what they're doing. If they're a humanoid or smaller sizes enemy it will have a easier time pressuring. I also feel like with the damage bonus from behind enemies activated, this pressures more often when behind enemies. But I have to double check that again properly today. Tifas guide is in the works right now so I got her nonstop on my mind haha. Just released a great tips video that may help a lot of advanced players out

It's funny how I beat this game 4 years ago, but I never really learned how to play the game until now. I basically put myself on hard mode by not using all of the proper mechanics. Oh I'm fine at using spells and targeting weaknesses, but when it came to action and combos and putting attacks together etc, I had no clue 😂. I am now replaying this game and watching these videos to pick up tips and it is dramatically increasing my enjoyment of this playthrough.

In original i used added effect + Time and added effect + hadies. A sword swipe will slow enemies and mess them up with random status effects. A 2nd swipe will stop them completely and add even more status effects. I like the original better then this reskinned dmc rip off. No real variation on Materia combos. They gave us the most basic spells and watered down Materia system. All characters need the same set up to be good. Hard mode is just a rip off to make the game longer. You take away the crazy health bars enemies have, take away all the extra story crap like biker guy who shows up for the first few chapters and just goes away {Pointless bullshit} and you have a 20 dollar psn game. It took them how many years to come up with this? I call bullshit.
You should try our FF7 new threat on PC you might love it. The real game will release in part 2 but this for me was enough to finally scratch that ff7 itch that's been affecting me since 1998. The materia combinations true capabilities will be shown off in part two for sure..that's where all the better materia and more enemy skills lie
It's not just damage. Certain attacks put enemies under pressures or certain combos. (E.G) when in punisher mode with cloud holding square to do his berserk attack on fat chokobo will instantly put it under pressures if it's not in a state where it can't be interrupted. Or for smaller enemies his first attack in punisher will launch light weight enemies and put them under pressure same goes for his 3rd and 5th attacks while in operator mode, tifas uppercut with holding square or triangle to use whirlwind will pressure most flying or floating enemies. Barrett's full combo until he reloads are good for grounded and floating enemies as well
Yup it's very diverse and different depending on the character and the enemy you're facing. This is why I recommend assessing later in the video to showcase some enemy's weaknesses or tips for stagger or pressuring them
Knew about the time thing but honestly just cuz I was looking up how to get the 300% stagger trophy for platinum and found it lol. Biggest weakness of it is the hardest enemies are usually resistant if not immune to it. Still can very useful.
Yeah bigger enemies and bosses this will not work on. The easiest way to get the 300% is after getting Tifa's true strike then go against fat chocobo and stagger the shit out of him and loop those triangle attacks back into unbridled. She has almost all day

True Strike greatly increases the stagger damage %. I'm not sure how fast one can do them back to back, but I think i did once with the Chokobo in VR to get the Parry Materia for Battle Intel and I was over 300% Stagger Damage. Always worth testing though or with other combo or Starshower since it buffs the next ability done. However, I really enjoy the details in the understanding of pressuring enemies.

I didn't fully understand that you should pressure an enemy to effectively raise their stagger. Now I want to do another replay just to appreciate this mechanic much more.
My tifa advanced guide does exactly that! And has a combo rotation where we use it 2 times efficiently! Be sure to check that advanced tifa and Barret as well. I have a amazing melee Barret build that will blow your mind! This stagger video was made before I finished the game and got true strike haha
Just like most people here, I did not know about the stop stagger strategy. Also I realized chi trap is most useful for causing pressure, because it's a big burst of damage at once.
Yup! I like to chi trap 2 times on bigger enemies since tifa gains back atb quickly with my build! She so much fun to use. That combo I did with tifa juggle enemies with the chi trap is hilarious
Too bad regular enemies die so easily and bosses have a damage threshold unfortunately. Even in hard mode. If only damage thresholds didn’t exist, stop would be great in boss battles.
Yup That's the nature of bosses resisting so many good spells unfortunately. I love when regular enemies are tough and require a lot of maneuvering to kill. Makes you feel accomplished. Like those giant snake monsters always kick my ass but after chi trapping them twice and building up pressure and stagger. Tifa can wreck them early on.

Cloud's infinity's End with Element + Materia of corresponding weakness, after having increase the stagger bonus with Tifa and Aerith is crazy to, most likely will be the first attack to hit 9999 damage ^^.
Also Aerith's arcane ward with -ga tier spells is crazy.
Yup! But I figured out a better strategy or route for cloud rather than using infinity End. It's in my new tips video but basically use two bravers instead. Theyre faster than infinity's end. They do about 6.5-7k damage depending on your build. And only cost 1 atb. So you can get a total of almost 13-14k damage off two bravers while staggers versus 2 bars infinity End for 9999 cap.

I think Time materia is the best to be used with Magnify. Haste, Slow and Stop on ALL. OP

Magnify decreases potency. So youd stop the other units for like less than 6 seconds.

Whoever has Time Materia and access to stop, should equip with the Taro Card. It extends the Stop duration. Furthermore, if you have the person using Stop also have +10% Debuff duration on their weapon upgrade, it prolongs at least an additional second. Additionally, if you use stop on the same target repetitively, it's effect get reduce to the point that they eventually become immune to it. Sucks it doesn't work the other way around for our characters (we always fall asleep or get stopped all the time). I was testing this on Rude when fighting him, thought I could play around with him for a bit, but eventually Stop no longer works on him.

I'd love to see it, it has some serious competition with cyber punk and the last of us two(if those even come out lol) but either way it's going to be a great year for gaming! Many people don't want it to since its a remake. But I'm sure those people haven't played this game and seen how different it is.
@@BltzZ To be fair this game is amazing, but the ending is kind of a mess, and the fact it's more linear than people expect it to be make me doubt it will be considere GOTY.
The original FF7 beginning portions that this same game covers was just as linear and if not even more. So they just followed the formula. My honest opinion I think it will be a strong candidate. Because linearity isn't something they consider with goty titles. But ultimately cyberpunk could take it all home. They almost won goty 2 times with Witcher 3 but the got the 1
I find the Gameplay inferior to KH2+3, Tales of Berseria (similar, but better Gameplay) and DMC5 since it misses the control and sense of satisfaction other Action Games have. My main issue is that when you get hit, it takes ages to get back up or recover, in KH2 and 3 you have an ability that makes you recover faster from being flung away and getting back into the fight, this game misses that mechanic completely.
Also when you have to deal with a lot of enemies at once the camera is just terrible to keep track of what the enemies do even when you set your ingame option to zoom out as much as possible, the targeting system is really wobbly, I see myself a lot of time not attacking what I want despite holding the Stick in that direction. There is barely any animation Cancels, except for Tifa, which more often then not get's you hit cause you are stuck in an animation that is 3 swings long, while the enemies seemingly are way more agile.
While I have seen a lot of Videos with no damage Bosses that make the system look really cool, the average person will not find that degree of play.
I have nearly beaten the game on Hard mode (90 Hours) and needed maybe 2 Tries per Boss, but this game, for me, lacks what makes other Action RPG's great.
Tales of Berseria is most similar to the FF7R while also a JRPG. I loved the Gameplay and Story a lot in that game and it is similar to FF7R Gameplay, but vastly better in execution.
So I don't see it as GOTY at all... and I am sad to say that as a huge FF7 fan, I welcomed that the game would become more Action oriented, but the Kind of Action Game it became is a huge dissapointment.
I'd love to see the recovery move implemented into this game because I hate when you're knocked down and trying to get up only to get hit down again lol. It's definitely got some work to do I hope they tweak some things with the way targeting works for remake 2 and just make improvements on the areas that are needed

Cloud for sure is the most well rounded and great for everything tbh. It comes down to preference and of course the situation you're in haha. Tifa is high burst damage and stagger damage but very weak with health and defense. She makes up for it in damage and speed

Haha yeah but if anything just do the XP and AP grind in the shinra building you can get crazy AP and XP fast
Make sure you use the pedometer materia and get the 5000 steps to turn it into AP up so you can double AP gains on linked materia

You can also stop the pressure! This is a huge key for defeating the hard mode boss challenge. I have a video up about that :)

Trust me there are new things we all learn everyday about this game! This will help you out tons for sure
You forgot a special property of magic related to stagger/pressure. Blizzard gimmick is that it has way more stagger power than any other magic. So basically if they are pressured, blizzard/ara/aga can be as effective as any other focused attack. Aerith can use this magic to provide stagger.
This video was made a while ago and I've since learned about that. But at the time I made this video I hadn't even beaten the game yet. Sorry for not including it into this but that's just what happened 🤷🏾♂️
I get the most Stagger Damage by doing Rising Fall > Omnistrike > Charge > Omnistrike > Charge > Omni strike.
Omni strike is much quicker than uppercut. It does something 15% Stagger increase.
I guess if you're 1v1 doing the whole combo might help but I typically finish enemies with infinity edge. I'll start infinity edge on cloud and then spam stagger building skills.
Yup that's the goal right there! Initiate stagger then switch to cloud for infinities end then back to tifa to build up percentages during clouds long startup time! I didn’t know Focus Attacks increases the Stagger meter a ton when the enemy is pressured. So that’s what they meant. Man, I’m learning new stuff everyday with you guide. Thank you very much! I didn’t care for the Time materia either but this guide makes me want to try it after hearing it freezes stagger gauge. Hopefully, it goes well.

damn, thats new for me man,, the game really never fails to amaze me with the mechanics,, in the orig ff7, best way to use status illness materia is to combine it with added effect,, it works kinda like the elemental materia, like if u use it with poison and put it in wpn, your attacks can inflict poison, and if in shield, can resist to poison, im suprised it never made it here, maybe because if u use it with the stop materia, you will be so op, hehe

This is the best video I’ve seen yet explaining combat... I’m a new final fantasy player and was so confused how this combat shit works.... only thing i dont understand, how do you add an element to clouds sword?
So there is a materia called elemental. What you do is equip elemental on the weapon and on the second joined slot you can put ice fire or lightning etc to give cloud or other players that added effect. And that is true for most FFs. The enemies that you can Stop die easily so you don't need it. The enemies that are hard and you could benefit from it are immune or hard to inflict (high magic evasion combined with low spell hit rate), but even if you do hit they have heavy (like boss) status so the effect is very very short.
FF7 unlike other FFs has has a secure way to do it trough Dazers. That is why you may see it used by experienced players in low level challenges or enigmatic boss battles as Ruby.

Her True Strike ability also increases stagger by 20% I usually go Rise and fall, Omnistrike, True Strike, Dive Kick
Very similar to my combo in her advanced guide I'm making although I go True strike first then rise and fall, true strike again, omnistrike, uppercut and dive kick. Puts the opponent in massive hurt. Mainly on bosses but medium sized enemies will die before the omnistrike 😂

I'm actually happy Tifa is such a great character to play in the Remake. She was pretty bad in the OG FF7 with a really bad Ultimate weapon as well, her stats was on the lower side, and her Final Heaven was kind of annoying as it is roulette RNG based.
So wait, with Tifa you should use Rise & Fall, Omnistrike then Uppercut, all back to back to back while the enemy is Staggered? I figured it was most efficient to at least string in a regular basic attack combo in between each one first, but is that not the case for some reason?
I'm just so used to doing a basic Square button combo string in between Triangle button presses, is this not always the way to go & if not, why?

Been playing Remake on hard difficulty in anticipation for Rebirth. Stop on stagger is going to be clutch!!! Assess has been a lifesaver too. I wasn’t intentionally going for the platinum trophy but I think I’m going to get it.

Can you explain how Tifa's Overpower works? It apparently helps to pressure enemies, but I feel like it barely does anything at all... even with max Chi. On Normal enemies it seems just Spamming Divekick is the best
Are you following it up with a combo right after? If tifa is in chi level 2 or 3 and uses overpower then continues mashing square. Right after she has a high chance of interrupting spells or pressuring enemies. I'm finish up the tifa advanced guide which will have all of this stay tuned for later today!

I use Overpower with Tifa all the time, but it just doesn't seem to work in Pressuring enemies any faster. At some point I just gave up and Spam DiveKick...
Overpower depends on the enemy or what they're doing. If they're a humanoid or smaller sizes enemy it will have a easier time pressuring. I also feel like with the damage bonus from behind enemies activated, this pressures more often when behind enemies. But I have to double check that again properly today. Tifas guide is in the works right now so I got her nonstop on my mind haha. Just released a great tips video that may help a lot of advanced players out

i was so confused why my focused strikes weren't building stagger
It's funny how I beat this game 4 years ago, but I never really learned how to play the game until now. I basically put myself on hard mode by not using all of the proper mechanics. Oh I'm fine at using spells and targeting weaknesses, but when it came to action and combos and putting attacks together etc, I had no clue 😂. I am now replaying this game and watching these videos to pick up tips and it is dramatically increasing my enjoyment of this playthrough.

In original i used added effect + Time and added effect + hadies. A sword swipe will slow enemies and mess them up with random status effects. A 2nd swipe will stop them completely and add even more status effects. I like the original better then this reskinned dmc rip off. No real variation on Materia combos. They gave us the most basic spells and watered down Materia system. All characters need the same set up to be good. Hard mode is just a rip off to make the game longer. You take away the crazy health bars enemies have, take away all the extra story crap like biker guy who shows up for the first few chapters and just goes away {Pointless bullshit} and you have a 20 dollar psn game. It took them how many years to come up with this? I call bullshit.
You should try our FF7 new threat on PC you might love it. The real game will release in part 2 but this for me was enough to finally scratch that ff7 itch that's been affecting me since 1998. The materia combinations true capabilities will be shown off in part two for sure..that's where all the better materia and more enemy skills lie
You should explain the differences between Tifa’s Focused Strike, True Strike, and Overpower in Pressurd and Staggered enemies

It's not just damage. Certain attacks put enemies under pressures or certain combos. (E.G) when in punisher mode with cloud holding square to do his berserk attack on fat chokobo will instantly put it under pressures if it's not in a state where it can't be interrupted. Or for smaller enemies his first attack in punisher will launch light weight enemies and put them under pressure same goes for his 3rd and 5th attacks while in operator mode, tifas uppercut with holding square or triangle to use whirlwind will pressure most flying or floating enemies. Barrett's full combo until he reloads are good for grounded and floating enemies as well
Yup it's very diverse and different depending on the character and the enemy you're facing. This is why I recommend assessing later in the video to showcase some enemy's weaknesses or tips for stagger or pressuring them

Knew about the time thing but honestly just cuz I was looking up how to get the 300% stagger trophy for platinum and found it lol. Biggest weakness of it is the hardest enemies are usually resistant if not immune to it. Still can very useful.
Yeah bigger enemies and bosses this will not work on. The easiest way to get the 300% is after getting Tifa's true strike then go against fat chocobo and stagger the shit out of him and loop those triangle attacks back into unbridled. She has almost all day

True Strike greatly increases the stagger damage %. I'm not sure how fast one can do them back to back, but I think i did once with the Chokobo in VR to get the Parry Materia for Battle Intel and I was over 300% Stagger Damage. Always worth testing though or with other combo or Starshower since it buffs the next ability done. However, I really enjoy the details in the understanding of pressuring enemies.

This will be much useful during encounter the major boss fight. Btw have you try all 3 'focused' abilities to stagger your enemy at same time?

I didn't fully understand that you should pressure an enemy to effectively raise their stagger. Now I want to do another replay just to appreciate this mechanic much more.

Add true strike after that Tifa combo and that’ll build up that stagger % even more. I’m surprised no other videos mention this ability. 🤔
My tifa advanced guide does exactly that! And has a combo rotation where we use it 2 times efficiently! Be sure to check that advanced tifa and Barret as well. I have a amazing melee Barret build that will blow your mind! This stagger video was made before I finished the game and got true strike haha
Just like most people here, I did not know about the stop stagger strategy. Also I realized chi trap is most useful for causing pressure, because it's a big burst of damage at once.
Yup! I like to chi trap 2 times on bigger enemies since tifa gains back atb quickly with my build! She so much fun to use. That combo I did with tifa juggle enemies with the chi trap is hilarious
Too bad regular enemies die so easily and bosses have a damage threshold unfortunately. Even in hard mode. If only damage thresholds didn’t exist, stop would be great in boss battles.
Yup That's the nature of bosses resisting so many good spells unfortunately. I love when regular enemies are tough and require a lot of maneuvering to kill. Makes you feel accomplished. Like those giant snake monsters always kick my ass but after chi trapping them twice and building up pressure and stagger. Tifa can wreck them early on.
