    You all don't know what you're talking about and what you have in front of you, to eat fish ?, meat? etc. How healthy is it? find out how healthy you will be if you eat MANGALITA meat (THIS IS THE WORD OF MANGALITA) I TELL YOU SO MUCH THAT THE BAD CHOLESTEROL OF A GREAT WHITE OR ANY MODERN PIG IS BETWEEN 60-70% AND IN THE MANGALITA OR ANOTHER THE OLD LITTLE BREED IN ROMANIA IS THE SAME PERCENTAGE OF 60-70% BUT IT IS EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE IT IS A GOOD CHOLESTEROL, IT IS A MEDICINAL PIG, ANYONE WITH HEART PROBLEMS, HYPERTENSION OR HEART ATTACK CAN EAT HIS MEAT AND HE WILL FEEL MUCH BETTER, (without taking medicine) In the Bazna and Mangalita pig breeds, both from ROMANIA, THERE ARE TWO VERY OLD PIG BREEDS (FOR SEVERAL HUNDRED YEARS) that must be left to run a lot to be free, their construction ( legs tendons) do not withstand cement platforms (concrete) are races that you have to leave alone a kind of sabbatical, they are very resistant to disease (in fact they never get sick) they do not need warm shelters, reach a roof, res ista at temperatures above -40 degrees in fact they have always lived outside, try and see that in winter if it has a puddle they will go and get muddy even at low temperatures (SO ??????? ?) These two breeds of pigs are also called (SOMON WITH FOUR LEGS) OR (KOBE PIG) INFORM YOURSELF BETTER, I DON'T KNOW HOW WELL I WROTE BUT I WROTE WITH GOOGLE TRANSLATED, anyway I'm a person who The pigs I saw as a child were these two breeds of pigs, and after I grew up and left my parents' house I never met the taste of the pork I grew up with. In short, they are extraordinarily healthy (rustic) breeds. the more meat of these breeds you eat, the better but much better you will feel. I WILL TELL YOU A PERSON WHO WAS BORN BETWEEN THESE PIGS AND GROW UP WITH THEM, AND I TELL YOU A GREAT SECRET, being a child many times when I played with them for many times or I sat next to the piglets and sucked milk from them. sows. But that remains between us, don't tell anyone else. I greet you all. A COUNTRY SON FROM ROMANIA. WRITE ON GOOGLE. (FEATURES) BAZNA pig breed, AND MANGALITA PIG BREED. good luck

    We have only fed ours (Mangalitsas) some table scraps (fatty pieces of cooked meat, little bits of cooked meat), and those get eaten, however, we usually will have it mixed in with their feed, skimmed milk, or both. Havent tried feeding them plain raw meat yet, so that should be interesting to try. As far as whether they'll attack/harm humans, we're fairly comfortable with them (the kids and I go into their pasture all the time; I even keep the boar from the trough at times....he's a bit chunky...he ends up laying down so his ears, face, and neck can be scratched), but apply the same philosophy as the other animals - trust somewhat, but stay alert & aware just in case :)

    My friend, McGie, it's not nice to delete from the comments, I left another larger comment with some information about the Mangalita and Bazna pig breeds, I did it because I grew up with these breeds so I know them very well , I understand that many people do not know them (it is normal not to know them) and I just wanted to make them understand what they are. we eat today is nothing more than a product (laboratory), that is, nothing natural as our grandparents ate be they Americans Europeans others, so now everything is different full of chemicals and drugs. I just wanted to give a simple real information, and everything I wrote about cholesterol and others is 1000% TRUE. I am an AUTHENTIC VILLAGE MAN FROM TRANSYLVANIA. THE LAST WILD AREA IN EUROPE. You should know that over 60% of Europe from WOLF BEARS, generally wild animals live in Romania. Mangalitsa eat any kind of protein sources, even after giving birth placenta and even those piglets which don't make it or become badly hurt by e.g. an attack of crow or raven. Never tried with rest of sunday roast so far, but at a farm where I learned, the usual duroc/pietrain would eat rest of human dishes, as well roast porc

    Thank you very much friend, I see in the new message the thing that makes me feel better. I want to tell you that for your curiosity when you are going to cut a pig from it, take some of the meat and go and do some analysis in two or three different places and you will convince yourself, if it is purebred, (purebred) I say this because Hungary has tried and is trying to make the Mangalita breed a native breed just like Yugoslavia, but in reality these two breeds of pigs were created in ROMANIA (Transylvania) on Romanian soil in the area of SIBIU COUNTY, PUT GOOGLE MAPS AND YOU WILL SEE WHERE IT IS, AND THERE YOU WILL FIND A VILLAGE (VILLAGE) with the name of BAZNAde where the name of one of the pig breeds comes from. That's why I tell you because I know that Hungary didn't have these pigs much than the ones it took from Romania and I know that they PAIRED THEM WITH OTHER PIGS OF THEIR LOCALS (corciti). Don't be afraid of pork lard, the truth is that these breeds have more fat than modern ones, only that this bacon (fat) is really good. When I was a child I lived with my parents in a village and every year before Christmas in our country the pig is slaughtered, each family in its yard, and the family whose pig did not have a layer of bacon (fat) of at least 5 cm. (4 fingers) that family was not a householder, it was considered a lazy family, (codasi). Your family's pig should have a layer of bacon (ham, fat) from 5 cm. 4 fingers up. In reality, the basis of the food of the man from the village from Transylvania to the field work was exactly this part of the pig, that is SLANINA (FAT) GREETINGS

      @@McGieHomesteadAdventures okay so since I talked to you last, I heard arrived. The 400 lb bore is the vanilla ice cream color, the mom is the rust color, and the babies are all three different morphs. I threw some juvenile wild turkeys in there with them that I had cut up, and a few legs of deer and they tore into all of them . After eating their fill, they left the carcasses with meat on the bones which our Yorks would never do. They would eat everything. This is a herd of mom, dad, and 7 piglets. There is no indication that the genetics are contaminated. I will say though that the piglets were sucking the mom dry and she is awfully skinny compared to what she should be, so that is one factor, but the big fat bore also took his share of meat as did the piglets. He definitely ate some of the turkey entrails as well. So happy Thanksgiving Brother!

    • @venom6827
      @venom6827 11 месяцев назад

      With that said, I don't think the person who had them prior to me was offering them sufficient Cal given a nursing mom. I think he was making them survive on hay and skim milk from the local. So they were probably jonesing for the fat and protein from high-quality wild meat. We also put a red-tailed hawk who died on our property in there and they did not touch it. I didn't push the matter because even though my cousins said the red tail was somehow killed by A flock of blackbirds or crows, I'm leery that maybe it got into some sort of poison or ate a poison rodent.

Put everyone outta work and get a bunch of pasture base farmers pigs killed off cooking up something new. We need those breeds and that gentics for the future.
    Always see if they take slop instead. just put a lot of corn and other things in there. the problem folks don't realize when you break the mother from the child you are breaking the learning cycle. you gotta "teach" them to eat it. one of the biggest things to train is teaching them to eat and teaching them that the fence is hot. once you train it it you gotta keep up the training. hogs aren't dumb.

      To give credit where credit is due. Mangalita breed was developed in the Salonta area in a time when Transylvania was part of the Austria-Hungary empire.. Salonta is now in Romania but very close to Hungarian border.. Mangalita was very much spread in the entire region, populated by both Romanians and Hungarians, and as borders moved back and forth throughout history, it is meaningless to try to determine the origin. I am native Romanian, but I acknowledge that Mangalita is a Hungarian name and rather than arguing about which nation developed this breed, I am grateful that it was rescued from extinction in 1990s. Looking forward to my next pork chop. God bless!
