I personally thought that Blue Poison would be better against heavy armored units and that Provence S1 would be useful, really glad to know about their powers and weaknesses. As for Firewatch... EXPLOSION!!!

Provence was my first e2, nice to see her getting some love
I've been using Blue Poison since launch because of not having Exusiai. But she's been a really good help to clear groups of foes when I got her to E1. Alongside her Arts DoT talent, she can do a decent contribution on dealing damage against high def foes.

After some testing I can proudlysay that province's S1 is actually pretty good if you rush-deploy her, place her solo on distant location, or if you are just too lazy for skill activation and want her to have constant hight dps.

I love firewatch because she is one of the first sniper that i got. she is very great to dealing with grouped enemy. She isnt a boss killer that for sure, but she is a great operator for grouped enemy (crowd control)
Love the guides! It’s interesting that you included Provence in this one. I started leveling her yesterday. I’m new to this game so idk too much about the meta if there even is one or if there even is a need for one haha. But I saw her and immediately thought about damage stacking for burst windows. As many know it’s definitely a thing in many games so idk why ppl would rate her as a low tier unit, if they do so. As a new player i would think maybe it’s because other units can fit her role and fulfill more?
On a side note i’d be interested on your thoughts about Meteor, another unit i have been investing in. I think pairing her with AOE units is nice, while still prioritizing aerial targets. Anyway i love the guides!

I mean if I have platinum, blue poison, or firewatch I’d rather use them over Provence lol. All of them got larger range (especially platinum) and you won’t need to wait for stuff to fall below 80% hp. And when schwarz comes out, there would be even less usage for Provence or even just straight up replace her. So I guess that’s why people consider her low tier? But if she’s the only sniper u got, she’s better than all the other f2p snipers I guess lol

papatech is more subjective, while Dreamy is highly objective when it comes to reviews :D and well, I dare say that papatech has a smaller understanding of the game since he's only started playing the game since global release while dreamy's been on it since the CN server

I've been rolling in the archers recently. Andreana and Provence on Thorns and Ejyafjalla banner pities
Provence has been a staple for me when it comes to ranged DPS for quite a while now despite owning quite a few other (community-proclaimed better) snipers. I heard of her less than stellar reputation and honestly couldn't figure out the life of me why she had it in the first place. Provence, a bad sniper? Figured it must have been a totally different unit from another game of a parallel universe, I thought. Her damage potential was through the roof and kept her in my primary team ever since... her downside is of course that she won't target aerial units first. Thank you for your time and effort in making these.
Short range and no anti-air means she's useless for a lot of things people would even run snipers to do.
But she's definitely good at her job.
Its hard finding her position in the squad . Singer target dps ? Exusiai . Enemy have so much armor ?Just use caster then . Range boss killer ? Throw Amiya s3 in .
@@natchu96 yeah, good point. But I don't use her as an Anti-air unit. I use her for more physical DPS. And she delivers it in spades.
@@rea1340 To each their own. Provence does not conform to the standards of Snipers everywhere, true, (except for Firewatch) but what she's good at is beyond question. Now it is just a matter of players finding ways to circumvent her unique circumstances and make her work. To proclaim that she is subpar or useless simply due to her shortcomings and not praise her for her strength is the height of hubris. Of course I don't mean any of you offence. Also... to compare Provence to Exusiai is kind of unfair. Exusiai is the embodiment of overpoweredness (not to mention difficult to obtain). You could compare Exusiai to a mini gun designed to fire explosive shells and she would still be able to compete. 😂
Really at that point I'd rather just run a ranged guard since ground tiles are way more abundant than ranged ones...
Woah, took me a very very long time to understand what Provence talent mean, I was very close to asking the question, but then I realized it's not that her talent is atk_scale, but more like on talent activation her atk becomes 180% of the base value, which is then amplified by atk% buffs, such as her own S2. I always thought her talent was just extra atk% additive to her S2.
Using Liskarm, Lappland, and Blue Poison together has been one of the best experience I have playing this game. Liskarm generates an absurd amount of SP for those two in such a short amount of time.

I really like your videos as you disprove all the stupid nonsense some tier list seem to claim like you did with Savage. When I first got into Arknights and attempted to look up stuff on units all I ever saw was people claiming specific ones like Savage, or Estelle as awful yet I've personally used both the entire time with great success or how Dobermann get such a horrid reputation but I've seen videos of folk doing the supposed harder content using her where she shines without any issues. It makes me really believe the saying there is no bad Operators just bad Doctors.

Firewatch's bombs make flower-shaped explosions nice
Hitting twice does mean you deal double damage. Doubling the attack however means you can deal /more/ than double the damage, due to how the formula works.
Blue Poison has been my first 5 star, my first E2, and my first 200% Most Trusted Operator

The Frog: She may not have the highest attack, but with her INSANITY Attack speed and poison, she doesn't need it.

FW is more newbie friendly but Mayer has more end-game potential.

Frostleaf in a weird position. She's a singer target CC stunner, and arknights dont need a CC stunner atm . Why you need to stun something you can tank and dps it down in seconds ?
So dealing with trash mob you dont need her , she cant kill anything that not a trash mob too because her damage so low VS armored . Like cuora tier of low . If her S2 make her dealt arts damage then she might be a tier higher .
@@rea1340I decided to invest in her a little bit and found that she made fights where there are high damage enemies that can't be tanked easily a lot easier to deal with. She's fairly cheap so I was able to use her and make the Big Adam fights that I had been struggling with for a while, a breeze. When she's combined with Orchid or Earthspirit, Big Adam pretty much comes to a stop. Her range is quite impressive and I think she's good if you don't have Lappland or Silverash. She's definitely an upgrade to Midnight because of her slowing talents, in my opinion.
Can you do Meteor next? I think she has a ridiculously good kit and is a good team player

How does Provence compare to future single-target burst like Schwarz?
She doesn't fall behind too much but the problem is the range. Schwarz S3M3 makes her have 1x5 cell range enabling her to snipe bosses from afar while Provence is stuck at melee range.

Ahh I had the option of picking between Mayer or Firewatch on a single recruitment ticket. I ended up going with Mayer but not a day goes by where I don't think about Firewatch.
Dreamy is basically the King of Skill of Arknights. This is a compliment.

Hey, a bit late, but wouldn't Provence benefit from an AoE caster too?
I know that with Provence's range it's tricky to set up one, but someone like Skyfire can easily bring down a group of enemies to 80% health (plus she stuns, so more Mofu hits)
Aside from Parmanix & Warfarin,since I dont have both of them,can I use Gavial instead?

Meteor is decent at best. There will be a future 4* sniper that is really good.

I don't understand what you mean by lowest base attack.
She has more attack than Kroos, Meteor, Jessica, Platinum.
In fact she is only slightly below Exusiai.
Did you read the archetype explanation fully? It's fully comparing the rapid fire sniper archetype to other sniper archetypes. Rapid fire types have the lowest base ATK. Please use context.

I was a bit confused, since rapid fire is the norm and slow attack speed an exception.

I was struggling to know how to use provence 101, and this video helps me greatly, also a coincidence since I have pramanix to help her boost the damage.
Also,few question if you don't mind :
1. So provence role is to help tear up a heavily injured enemies faster before they can do lethal damage,like let's say..avenger type enemies?
2. Is this means I can't use/treat provence as the other normal DPS sniper for her unique build? I asked this since aside from meteor,and the obligatory jessica&kroos, I don't have any other sniper, and I would like to know if she can replace any of them better or not.

Provence can act as finisher for high-threat enemies yes. Provence cannot replace the roles of rapid fire snipers, you need two of those by the way.
if you combine her 2nd skill with meteor's debuff, provence will deal massive damage even to heavy armored units.

Only Skyfire and Amiya on 5* casters does damage. Nightmare can't. Compared to them yea, Provence will outdps them on single target.
