Very good job on the review. I have seen that same set on Temu for as low as $1600. Now we know it's not a bad buy! Thanks for showing us the ins and outs.
Just friendly words of encouragement and from personal tire experience of 12 years… much easier to zero out sticky weights on the inside first (weights should always be together unless you’re spoke balancing). Then you move to your clip-on weight or weights on the outside (closest to the balancing machine). You may not always feel a vibration if you do it the way you did it, but you’ll notice a smoother longer life balance. Higher chances of vibration immediately or shortly after when you counter balance your tires, especially on larger balloon tires (what we called wide tires on narrow wheels). Great video though and nice machines! I’m thinking about getting these since I no longer work at a tire shop and I don’t trust other people doing my tires. I’ve seen too much already. 😅
Looks like some sweet machines for sure. One of these years I'll get a set. Need to finish my new barn shop first... But they are on the list for sure. I've had too many tire shops ruin my wheels and then I had to fight with them to make things right. Hope you stay safe with the storm, I'm sure you'll let everyone know. I know that this damn hurricane is headed straight for my parents in Sarasota... They are going to try and ride it out, guess we'll see.
@@MotoCheez Thank you sir. I don't think storm surge is going to be a problem, but the wind for sure will be... Hope you stay safe as well, don't know how affected you'll be?
@@MotoCheez Yeah, I don't think the water is going to be a problem for my parents, but that wind....... Yikes. Glad you are out of the red zone. Hope that nice new garage stays safe, I'm sure it will.
We are in Riverview (East of Tampa proper). Looks like it's coming ashore around Sarasota so that's good for us. Plus we are 22' asl so flood surge is not an issue.
Nice! Get some LUBE though! Even soapy water better than nothing. I use the Ru-Glyde from Napa. Been doing all my tires on a Coats 220 manual changer and bubble balancer. Last set of load range E tires for my truck really had me wanting a powered changer though! Hope you guys are stocked up and fare well through the storm! Nevermind...see you got lube. Spoke too soon!
I bought the Mayflower brand combo a few years ago and love it. Mine has the helper arm on the left, which comes in handy for changing valve stems/TPMS sensors. I also heard you should only need 1 weight per side. Don't know if that's true, but I try to stick to it.
if ur tire balancer supports the function, try to match the tires to the rim, this safes you a lot of unnecessary weights on the rims especially on big tires like yours and/or bend rims this works great 🙂🙂 nice mounting and balancing setup by the way you have there...
@@MotoCheez thats the correct way yes, but sometimes the balancing machines does have an option for this and shows you how much you should rotate the rim/tire set...... dot on the tire to valve-stem is always an good starting point yes
Definitely take a while to recoup the money for the equipment. But how convenient in switching tires is a piece of cake.. Do you need adapter kit for bike tires?
Which air fitting did you replace it with? Is it the one in your hand at 4:50? I know the air diameter on the one I removed is that big, but the diameter of the hole on one I have is smaller.
For some reason the hole is smaller on that style connector. It's the standard fitting that even harbor freight sells, that's where I got mine actually
Me too. Have machines in my shop up north too. I know you can do it without the bead cheaters, it's a pain on the bigger tires as you know, stock narrow rims too
Yes, I love mine up north and I know they are expensive and it would take a long time to pay back the cost of it but I rather do my own tires! And you do recoup the money eventually.... Where you been?

Wondering why everyone puts the tire changer on the left. I have better flow placing the balancer on the left so as soon as the tire is mounted it’s an easy lift to left. 😮
I'll get the measurements tomorrow for both of them and respond to you with it here. Someone asked about the spin balancer I measured it for him but I should have put it in the description on both of them cuz that's important
I was trying to match my old tires, didn't change spare. They're very similar and last set went 86000 miles and wore great. I did put a link in description
What is the widest wheel/tire combo you can fit on this machine? I considering it for my drag race rims which are 12” and with the tires mounted 13” of total width.
Those dimension will definitely fit, what's the outer circumference of the tire because my 35-in tires still had a few more inches before it would hit the post so probably almost 40 diameter would fit
@robc8636 oh, you mean for the bead breaker, my tires are 12 and a half inches wide and if you position the rotating table with the clamps in it just touches it. You should be fine with that with tire
@robc8636 somebody did mention putting the tire machine up on 4x4s and that might be a decent idea so that the clamp that breaks the bead will be higher for taller tires
You can open up a tire shop now. Charge $10 per tire change. 😂 Friends and family $10 .. Bring you the new tire and old.. Strangers $20 to remove and put a new one on they bring.

Free shipping from what I’ve seen recently.

Awesome, I looked at that option...
To calibrate they gave 1 weight to do it swap to each side, not to do tires. I use many weights sometimes 😂
Good luck Cheezy!
I was already two TWSS ahead when you said it 😂

@ramiretz ahh. Ok
I'm sure someone else has said it but make sure you fill your self oiler on the changer
I wondered if that was an oiler, it's also a water filter?
Yes the regulator has an air separator

Yeah it's really not bad at all, not quite heavy duty industrial but plenty for what I need or a big shop

True... Yes, need adapter for bike tires

@@MotoCheezThat’s what I was figuring - I have one from HF as well, but was wondering if the diameter made a difference in air flowing to the machine…
@DCCustomDesign It shouldn't, and even the one with the air b blaster shouldn't because it has the storage tank
put the bar in pry and push down other side with your hand. no need for what ever you had on there. great video
Car tires you can do that easily, 10 ply are hard to push and keep down by hand.

Can you put the tire changer on a couple of 4x4's and raise it up a few inches?
Hmm. Not a bad idea, turntable be kind of high but worth a try
I hope everything is alright in your neck of the woods, motocheese. Stay safe.

Are all the power washers up north.. That tractor is Dirty.. :P :) Keep Safe.
I know, damn dust
I can help with balancing if you end up with issues, or if you would like some suggestions. How do you like the machines?
I like them so far
Some news outlets are saying "get out or die" That storm is supposed to be very strong.
Yes they are talking about Tampa, I'm 60 miles north of Tampa
Wondering why everyone puts the tire changer on the left. I have better flow placing the balancer on the left so as soon as the tire is mounted it’s an easy lift to left. 😮
I think mainly because if someone is using the tire machine while I am using the balancer it would be safer not to have that spinning tire near them
Could you tell me what the dimensions of the tire changer and wheel balancer are? I’m looking to get this but not sure how much space they take up
I'll get the measurements tomorrow for both of them and respond to you with it here. Someone asked about the spin balancer I measured it for him but I should have put it in the description on both of them cuz that's important
are you staying down here or going back up north for this hurricane. because it is going to be a bad one even for me way in the center by gainesville
Watching it closely, prepared to vacate if over 120mph
what fitting did you use going from the changer to air hose
Just a standard 1/4" air fitting
Now all your buddies are going to be at your shop for their tire changes...lol...
They gonna try!
Did the water separator come with it or was that a separate piece?
Good luck with that storm playboy! Stay safe
It came with it. Thanks
Y'all stay safe down there ok
Thanks
how has this thing been so far? i may get one for a mobile trailer
Excellent, they both work great. I have older Coats and snap-on machine at my Florida place, these work better!
Think it will handle a 37” tire too?
Definitely, there was plenty of room

How much are supply CFM do you need for that?
This doesn't have the air bead so I'd say maybe 5 CFM, doesn't take much. I'm using a harbor freight stand up oilless compressor.

@troubleshooterr5775 I'd say 11 CFM. I have a snap-on one up at my CT garage
