Everyone saying this won’t dry in time I’m letting you know this technique worked for me. I tweaked it a little. Instead of a thick base coat I did a thin one and painted on my white tip for my French manicure like normal. The only time I did 2 thick coats was the final high shine top coat. This way it still takes long to dry but is manageable. I highly suggest you do it during the day or 5+ hours before you go to bed to prevent the dents and moving of the nail polish. Ideally during the morning. Other than that, this is totally worth it. This is what makes my home manicures last 2 weeks or more. That and reapplying a thin top coat 2-3 days after. The whole process takes 2 hours and the rest is just waiting for it to dry. And basically being very careful with using them while they dry. When you do things yourself it’s much cheaper but takes more time to do. When you pay someone to do it it costs more and I’m on a budget! I’m willing to sacrifice time by doing it myself for the same results I get at the salon. Remember that everything takes practice. Including doing your nails and finding the technique that works for you. It took me months to make my manicure last as long as it does and look good too. It’s worth it if you want it to be :)
Thank you so much for this comment. There's a lot of mean people in the comments, and after reading them I got really discouraged. Your comment gave me a new boost! I never did my nails at a salon, and in my country gel nails are absurdly expensive. I'll try your tips right now!!
by spending 2 hours to do them yourself and 5+ hrs to wait for them to dry, you could have worked, made the money to get them professionally done with gel, and still had time left over to make more money. A salan visit for gel mani is $40 at most and only takes an hour.

Sarah Kasangana I started applying castor oil to my nails and massaging them before bed about a 3 weeks ago and I haven’t broken a nail since! They’ve also been growing faster
deedee doremus I agree with castor oil. I’ve never had problems growing my nails long and keeping them that way. But a couple of weeks ago I thought about using castor oil on my nails and it works fantastic as a moisturizer. My nail polish is drying faster and it’s lasted 2 weeks without any chipping, peeling etc. My nails grow fast so I’m going to have to change it just because of nail growth.
So pretty. But I feel like that would take ages to dry! Maybe something is wrong with my nails, I just do one layer and a topcoat and although I wait like half an hour for it to dry I always end up messing it up somehow. So I can only imagine what a mess I would make if I used that technique.
Well I've been experimenting tonight and found that although after half an hour your nail is dry to the touch and feels smooth and ready to go, it's actually very far from completely dry. With any kind of real pressure or hard buffing that apparently dry nail suddenly reveals itself to be dry only on the surface but underneath it is still very wet and soft. I've been waiting a couple of hours now and my nails are still not completely dry. I know because they are still giving off fumes/smell. I'm pretty sure they will only be completely dry once not giving off any further odour (seems logical). so yeah, I can see why everyone is going for gels lol.
Rachel J yeah, she thick! It’s going to take a lot longer than 10 mins to dry all those thick coats of polish. You don’t need all that polish to make it look like gel, just buy a high shine top coat. I think her main goal was to actually make it look thick like it was a cheap gel mani.
I had the same problem for YEARS, you just need the right top coat. After trying many many MANY different ones the only too coat that works for me is by glisten and glow. Definitely worth a shot trying. I buy at least 3 at a time so I always have them.

Saachi .S actually, in professional manicures, (which I do a lot because I’m into aesthetic work) the massage goes with the cream, which is always before the polish is applied, and then you use nail polish remover to remove any lotion left on your nails! :) but yes the polish could peal off pretty easily.

I do love a thicc glawssy nail 💦💅💦
Kate Chamomile 😂❤️
whenever i try to do this, a few hours later the polish smudges off and there's fingerprints everywhere then by the next day it's so gross like,,,, how the hell do you get this to work
Ok but how did you shape them like that? That's what I wanna know
Same :D
She has a video on her channel on how to shape nails
They are acrylic nails
Krum Krum its not acrylic its her real nails
@@dianarodriguez9234 she has it on her real nails, not as an extension, you can tell she has something on them
How do you put the nail polish on that thick and not get bubbles? I always get bubbles when i put on a thick coat
Joy Du maybe try a different brand of polish
If you roll the bottle of nail polish in between your hands the bubbles should go, this is what I do
Joy Du hang them upside down for a bit longer and then flip your hands and they should be fine.
Do you shake the bottle of polish before use? I imagine this would create bubbles in the polish.
Ahh no, I can already see the dents and marks on it because of how thick it is
Do thin coats but not to thin for no dents
Lyd Yes, Agreed and it will surely develop bubbling as the polish drys, completely.😖
And it would come off after 2 days anyway 🤷🏼♀️
Debbie It would if you have damaged nails.
I JUST PAINTED MY NAILS
SAMEEEE
I literally just painted mine but fuck that I’m doing it again 😅
Same
Update... I did it again. That tip about laying your nails upside down actually helps!
You’re my fav ! Your videos always add value to my everyday life . Thanks so so much 💕💕
i swear you’re tutorials are the best the visuals, no annoying background music and your voice was made for asmr
😍💅🏼 red nail polish would be great to try on !
Oooooo!! I’m a nail tech, I love getting new ideas. Beautiful! I can’t wait to try this with a deep red!
I hate how RUclipsrs before doing whatever they are doing, they start talking and explaining and take ages to get straight to the point. Love the tutorial. Love ya queen😚😘
Ikr! Those people waste so much time.
notification squad!!
I love your videos so much!! 💕😍
I wanted to inform you about something , there is a TV channel named Siti news Bangla , which airs in West Bengal, India, that channel used your video where you showed how you thread your whole face. It was showing an episode of skin care and there your video was used although just a 1 min clip from that video. I thought you must know :)
Wow, that's wrong for them to do unless maybe they made sure she was credited
Omg yass
Snitch
Ive been using this technique for a few months now and i love it. It does take a lot of patience but its worth it. Whenever i do my nails i get a lot of compliments because people will think i went to get my nails done. Thank you so much this video has helped me a lot and ive gotten a lot better at doing my nails😊❤
Omg my queen watches my mum's videos ❤️💿💿

I really just wanna know, are those her real nails.. if they are, girl I’m so jealous. Wish I had nails like that. I just wanna also say I love you and all your vids. I can just tell you put so much work into what you do and I can just tell your a hard working mother as well as a person and you work hard for everything you have. I love you
Mine are crusty rusty dusty musty need so help lol
@@anayarice6266 I love your comment, you made me laugh!
Ughhh when she paints her nails its soooo satisfying 😻😻
I would love to try a pastel orange! I have never liked orange, but I’m going out of my comfort zone!
YUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSS glossy taco, Christine would be proud
This raw improv style commentary is brilliant, love this
I love how she says “thumbs up if you like this or thumbs down if you didn’t” (idk if that was it but...) anyways I like that because she doesn’t force people to like what she does.
I was honestly waiting for you to say "taco", that was such a relief when you did.
Your nail shape is so perfect and the beds are such a pretty pink. I’m kind of jealous.
may I ask how long do these last? with all those layers I feel like they'd peel off easily...they look beautiful tho 🙏
it won't peel off that easily, I do mine almost the same and it can last up to a month. I think they peel off easily when you only apply one layer of nail polish
maria denisa gotta try it this way then ;)
Just make sure you let the nail polish dry completely before adding each layer.
I do mine similarly - sometimes whole shells "peelies" come off my nails 😂
I tried it and it lasted a week before chipping with our the fancy hand gloss and stuff
this is such a good video! the problem with me is I literally have no patience for the coats to dry lol
Watching ur videos always makes me feel so safe and comfortable i love u
Is there a thin layer of arctic/gel, anything on your nails? That mani looks fabulous!
Wish my nails could grow that long like yours, looks so nice! 😍
Your polish is on fleek. My gawd, in my whole entire life I've never had more beautiful nails done by me.
I’m now gonna do my nails instead of my homework

when you said “glossy taco, yes i am to a holosexual” my jaw dropped and i’ve never subscribed to a channel so fast! 💗
Now, this is what you call informative content. All your videos have knowledge bombs. great job
This looks so great you really know your stuff
Y’all.. she made washing hands.. an aesthetic 😭💛 is anything she can’t do perfectly?
Your voice and the video look like a visual asmr video, it's sooo satisfacting
I would love to use a pale or pastel yellow with this technique
White or light pink would look really good with this manicure
Omg yes 💅
The shape of your natural nails is a work of art tho 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Ok so...
1. This is quality content!
2. Girl, ain't nobody got time for that.
4:41 - "add a glossy taco, yes I too am a holosexual"
- I subscribed and liked 💿💿💿
I swear to god I subscribed only cause of 3 reasons:
1. You are just amazing at making videos, your voice is so relaxing!!
2.scrolling threw your channel I realized that you have incredible content (in a good way of course)
3. It’s cause you said “gLoSsy tAcO”
Sometimes in the past when I applied several layers of polish, it can just peel right off? Does this technique cause that?
Your nails are gorgeous
