I would do it exactly like you.... After seeing this :). I've learnt a lot again. Thanks. We need more of this advanced stuff.
My head just melted😂 thx for all you’re vides Lars! Without you I would never dived in to it😊
Thanks Lars, I put my 3D printing and fusion 360 aside for about a year. I came back and everything looked different plus I had to resubscribe under a new license. Now I will need to go back to the beginning. Thanks for all your videos.
It never ceases to amaze me what problems can be solved with the loft command. Thanks Lars!
What a tour de force! I am so glad that you are doing this again.
That was AWESOME! I learnt MANY things in this one guide. Thank you Lars
Awesome stuff, project to surface!!! Thanks Lars!!!
You were born to do this stuff Lars!
Thank you 👍😊
each video is useful Lars, for me i learn something each time, Thanks.
Lars, another very interesting video that you showed ...! As you said at the beginning, it is a little difficult, especially seeing the first time. As always, we need to practice ...! Thanks a lot: João Carvalho.
Excellent explanation as always.
Thank you, Lars
That was very useful Lars, thanks
sorry if others asked the same question or if it's a dumb one, but why not use a simple, single sweep after you project the ellipse?
Hi Lars, my question is how would you make the top channel, the 10mm to be perpendicular to the tub wall? I never miss any of your videos, great learning tool.
Would it work if the two sketches were on a 'plane at angle' tangent to the surface?
Or would it only match at the exact point of the sketches?
Uow - Very nice ...
Help me out here, but by adding the second rail you end up changing the width of the C-channel which would make it bind.
Hi Lars, can you tell me how to change from design to model, thanks in advance
I've had a loft fail to resolve along a curved path in 3 dimensions between profiles that were nearly identical. Some things that seem so simple on paper can really confuse Fusion.
This was great! Is there a way to draw on a curved surface as though it were unfolded / flat? Is sheet metal the only way to do that?
Simon A, not in fusion at the moment. It’s a pain.
Hey Lars, great content. Are you using any other manipulator hardware other than mouse and keyboard?
I use one of these:
ruclips.net/video/LMYEnmEdptc/видео.html
I cant figure out how to project to that surface. I get error every time.
This was great.
I think the shapes were ellipses, not oblongs. Oblongs are rectangular.
Genius! :-), I can't think what the varying size is for?
I'm with you on that one. The base of the c channel tapering from 5 to 2mm then back again doesn't make sense. Drawing an ellipse, describing it as an oblong also doesn't make sense. I wonder what fits the c channel, if anything? How would it be made? Have I missed something?
@@vanadium5724 One of life's little mysteries :-)
HSMWorks 2020 is now included with Fusion 360 Subscription. Is this true?
Hi Ed... Yes it is. I am very excited about that. You will find the information here:
knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/HSMWorks-2020-is-now-included-with-Fusion-360-Subscription.html
I hope to get an answer from @Lars Christensen about that topic :)
Hi Lars.
I just read that HSMWorks 2020 is now included with Fusion 360 Subscription. Are you going to do some vidoes about this topic? That would be very helpfuls because there is not much information about that topic.
Thanks for a quick reply. Cheers from Switzerland :)
I don't get why you had to cut the tube in half for this technique. Why is that?
Is this application free to use with all the options
With most options yes, but not all. The majority are included, and some are pretty powerful.
@@frijoli9579 bro in Indian we people are using mastercam, solidcam and dellcam nobody know fussion 360 I think only American people are familiar with it what is your opinion on it which is the better application because I am still in learning stage working as machinist in Cnc milling if you have suggestions please share some bro my whatsapp number 8553295226
@@prithvireddynp7085 , I like it.
It's not as powerful as dedicated CAM programs. However it does do some thing more easily and some are exclusive to Fusion360. I use it for all my CAM work, and a good portion of my Design work. I still prefer SolidWorks for design.
Hey Lars, what is that box on the wall behind you doing?
I'm intrigued too ...
That looks like a Hass CNC control simulator. Normally that controller would be attached to a CNC mill/lathe.
It's a CNC box controller that I designed in the 80s.
Lars, is there any way I can download you brain's contents into mine?
There so much garbage in there, my friend 😁
A dirty mind is a joy forever.
Ouch! My brain hurts.
I think you misunderstood the requirements. He highlighted the width of the channel not the depth. So in your C shapes, those 3.5 values should have been what changed. In the end the solution might be the same, but I still believe your understanding of his question was incorrect.
