And what is it like to live in a caravan in winter? In short: tough! Check this video for more details: ruclips.net/video/pJRP7lDSop0/видео.htmlsi=-4pJz8WMZJn1eEhu
I just started to live in a caravan here in Denmark. The first few weeks were challenging but I adapted to it very fast.,I love the fact I have nobody the other side of the wall. It’s like I have my own house. I manage costs for gas, electricity and water. Not a company. And I love that idea. It feels like freedom. 🥰 No utility bills I just change my gas tank whenever I need it and use main power at the camping side I pay for monthly for the owner. Feels fantastic
Hi, and sorry for taking so long to reply! Thank you for reaching out to us ;-) How lovely. I am fascinated with Denmark and everything Danish, loved The little book of Hygge, by Mike Wiking. Living in a caravan, taking life slowly, being close to nature, having time and energy for experiencing life - that's all Hygge, would you agree? Denmark is on our list of countries to visit and only recently I learnt that you can access it by land from Germany :D :D :D so it's perfect for coming in a motorhome or with a caravan. I agree with you that owning a caravan is like owning a house, it is a home ;-) And it is fab that you can have home and roof over your head for relatively small money. What was the biggest challenge for you when you started this lifestyle? And where about in Denmark are you? Love, Kat.
You are a great smart woman. I’ll start our caravan full time life in 2 months. Just booked my caravan today. Let’s see. Very positive about it. Thanks
Good morning have a nice weekend, you have a very nice campsite I hope that one day I will come to you for a few days, currently waiting for a visa and the waiting time is up to half a year, Greetings
Hi, lovely to hear from you :-) yes, the site is lovely, but it's not our property :-))))) We hope to see you here too, there is so much to do and see in the area. Take care and good luck with your visa application, strange times heh! Weekends are alwas busy at work here... so we start our on Monday, exact opposite to what most people do :-))) like the rest of our lifestyle really. Thank you for popping in. / K

What's it like during winter in the caravan? Do you find it is easy to keep warm? I'd imagine it doesn't take long to heat a small space such as a caravan but I don't know how well insulated they are. I love your setup BTW thanks for uploading 🙂
Hi Nick, nice to hear from you :-) Well, since we started our life on wheels, back in 2018, we always spent winters away, mostly in Spain. This year we will proably stay in the UK, so we will find out in a few months and make a video! It was one of the reasons for upgrading the caravan, the one we have now will be so much better during winter than the old one.
@@FreedomSeekers-FSme and my partner are thinking to get a static caravan to put in my mums garden fir a while untill are house is ready. Do they warm up in winter ok? Im a total newbie. As some one who is considering this type of lifestyle in the future, you gave great points to think about, thank you. The idea of trying to reason with a loud, drunk party at 1am sounds like a very challenging part of the job!
Hello, thank you for reaching out. I agree, it is not easy, but you would be trained by the more experience colleague first. Everything gets easier as you gain more experience. Luckily really difficult situations are extremely rare. It shouldn't put anyone off from trying this rewarding and happy lifestyle! K
Hi Becky, thanks for watching and reaching out :-) We have a few ideas for videos about campsite work and will happily answer your questions! Tomorrow is our last day at work and we plan to film more...much more! K
I would love to live in a caravan ,most of the family do I have two sisters who own a caravan in the Lake District in the uk I absolutely love being in a caravan when it’s rainy ,my grandson too 😊
Hi, yes there is something really relaxing about caravans and caravan parks... Perhaps the fact that they are so different to houses and places most of people live in. Usually caravan parks and campsites have beautiful settings... :-) K
Great video. Can you live on a campsite all year around because you work there. My understanding holiday, caravans etc cannot be used as permanent residence but you seem to have found a way around that.
I would love to live in a tent all year round It's a very healthy way of living. And maybe if it became law you can live in a tent all year round maybe it would help the NHS to because it's so healthy.
Hi, not in Mill Park, where we are, but many campsites have statics. They either belong to the site, and are available to book, or are privately owned. K
If you're looking to rent a static caravan for the long term, there are a few options you can explore: - Holiday parks or caravan sites: Many holiday parks and caravan sites offer static caravans for long-term rental. You can search for holiday parks in the area you're interested in and contact them to inquire about availability and rates. - Private owners: You can also search for static caravans for rent by private owners. Websites like Airbnb, HomeAway, and Vrbo have listings for static caravans that are available for long-term rental. You can also try searching on local classifieds websites or in the local newspapers. - Estate agents: Some estate agents may also have static caravans available for long-term rental. You can search for estate agents in the area you're interested in and contact them to inquire about available properties. When you find a potential static caravan to rent, it's important to ask about the terms and conditions of the rental, including the length of the rental agreement, the rental price, any security deposit required, and any rules or regulations you'll need to follow while living in the caravan. It's also a good idea to visit the caravan in person to ensure it meets your needs and expectations.
Actually, pitch on the campsite is part of our job perquisites, which is great! We're fortunate to have this unique living arrangement and we're really enjoying our time here. Thanks for watching!
Yes, for us it is. Bear in mind in the summer we literally LIVE on site. This job takes some dedication, but with the right people and in a beautiful place it is s much easier. We work hard all summer and save money for winter holiday in the sun 😎 Works for us!
Yes! Neither of us like washing the dishes, we had one at home so why not in an awning? We get get least one full load a day... crazy. Neither of us likes washing, but Kat loves cooking and we both love eating :D :-) / K
