Mine is a late in the game funny k-pop immersion I will share someday on my Go Karen channel, but Onew's voice has stolen my heart and wrecked my BTS biasing. I think I am technically a 'baby' Shawol at 57. I listen to music all day long, but I have not played an artist on repeat since I was tween obsessing over ABBA in the 70's. Onew is not an idol, he's an artist, well actually all of SHINee are artists. I'm a newer Shawol (but older in age) since June 2022 when I fell down that rabbit hole and Leader Onew slammed and locked the door behind me so fast I didn't stand a chance 🤣
Everything you said! I was an BTS fan and still enjoy some of their songs but then I discovered SHINee 11 years late! I am only a few years younger than you and I only discovered Onew through SHINee 4 yrs ago. I’m an Abba fan too! I totally agree with what you said about Onew’s album. This is the first album that I have loved all the songs. To be honest I am sometimes a little embarrassed about liking a group so much at my age but I’ve seen older SHINee fans express themselves ( like I mean in their 70s and 80s ) and I feel I belong! Hahahah. One of their members, Taemin, has a new album out, I hope you go check out the B side balads while waiting for Onew’s next album.

I was also a bit embarrassed about falling for a "boy group", at my age, but Shawols reminded me that there's no upper age limit to loving music. It's nice to meet 2 ArmyWols, because you both get the best of two different musical worlds.
The one soul thing I love and admire about Jinki is his modesty on stage. Even though he’s wearing a cropped shirt, he manages to move and dance without showing off his body. He’s my one true favorite now and forever. ❤️
