Actually the very first appearance of The Owl was in the Timely comic Young Allies #5 which came out in the winter of 1942, he looked exactly like the later 1960’s Daredevil villain except he was a Nazi villain with fangs and goggles who went up against the Young Allies of Bucky and Toro and was defeated by them in the end.

I love the character . But it hard not to associate him as some sort of The Pinguin rip off from DC. Which i think explains why he was changed in the Netflix Daredevil.

He could have been a great villain character. Instead the Kingpin just kills him off.
