I did cut mine to shoulder lenght. Biggest regret of my life. I have waves, so it looked awful.. It was lighter and not as warm. Also I could use a hairband without worring it would break or stuff, yet I hated it. Finally it's getting waist length. Good thing it's winter though. It makes a nice scarf.

She can still wear her hair down and look really nice with it when she parts it in the middle so nobody has to necessarily wait till it grows back but when she teases it it probably won't be as big as it used to, though that's what I would want

My husband had to shave my purple waist length hair all off because of chemo. It was falling out in chunks so had no choice. Was kind of fun for us really. We made the best of it and had a lot of jokes about him scalping me ;) It's a odd feeling for sure LOL... We had fun with it though. I made an awesome Uncle Fester from Adams Family for Halloween at the time. I am still doing Chemo a year later but on different meds that aren't so bad on my hair so I now has some fuzz and look kind of like a Chee a Pet head with mange lol... So guess what I'll be this Halloween?! hehehe... You can always send me your beautiful hair you cut off and I can make me a long Mohawk wig ;) Your hair is amazing when down and so thick. I'm literally the last person you'd expect to have a side shave. Like straight A, goody two shoes, never done anything bad ever in her life. I've had mine for about two years now and I love it. It's not all the way down to the scalp and it's only on one side. But I love it none the less.
For me, I just bought a razor after my mom kicked me out, went to my friends house and shaved off half my hair.
