I love this ride, The Trough of Bowland has got to be one of the best roads in the UK. I like the story too from the centre of the UK, the old border between two counties and the route the Pendle Witches took to their deaths, add that to an epic road and glorious scenery and what more can you ask for. Oh, Puddleducks!
The word 'Forest' here is used in the traditional English sense. It means 'Royal Hunting Ground'. The area was and still is a popular hunting area with the Royals and their very rich friends. Indeed the land is owned in trust by the Duke of Westminster, who has a residence in Abbeystead. @5:30 Dunsop Bridge, is the geographical centre of England, yes, you can say you have been to the actual centre of the country!! I always enjoy your videos, lovely productions, lovely bike, lovely people. You've had some beautiful weather for your tour, so far...
Just discovered your channel, fantastic videos. I really enjoy the mix of the bike POV and the views. The Yorkshire dales are a beautiful part of the country, shame it was a big foggy for you in places. Looking forward to your new videos ☺️👍🏻
I remember trips to the Trough of Bowland as a youngster, it was magical then too. Enjoying these escapes during a difficult time with limited travel opportunities. Great your daughter shares your enthusiasm.
@@UncleLongbeard how do you get your sideshots of scenery as your riding? I really like sideshots of beautiful scenery compared to just over the handlebar road shots :)I also share your disdain for motorways yukk!!

how awesome to have those roads practically to yourselves! :-)
That's why I prefer local roads and single tracks 😎
Awesome looking at planning a stay and ride some of this area,, any recommendations gpx? Thanks
I'm working on it - I'll post the GPX in pinned post before Wednesday, so check it out again soon. Cheers mate
Ciao! Which camera do you use to record your videos? Thanks a lot! 😊
Hero7 black
And btw with ,which hand motorcyclists in England greet each other... I didn't notice ?
We're nodding the head to each other rather than using hands
All the way red light on the tachometer , why ?
I was about to ask same question one day..
I removed some sensors and ECU thinks that my injection is not working 🤣
So a forest is a area where hunting takes place. Not necessariĺy a wooded area.
