I live in Portland Oregon and we don't have the NHL so I a new and from now lifelong Seattle Kraken. Before the season I bought a Kraken shirt in Vancouver WA. I was in Seattle in December and to also show love. I bought a Seattle Kraken jersey and it customized with my last name and #12. I also bought a Kraken hat and I walked with my hat/jersey in Seattle showing Kraken love
I got myself a custom Seattle Kraken jersey with my last name, I watch an away because they were close to me so I can watch them, I hope I comeback to Seattle in the future to watch an home game.
Now we need the Sonics back

If the Kraken have tons of success early, the NBA should give Seattle a chance to renew their NBA license and bring NBA back to the Emerald City with Vancouver as their NBA G League affiliate.
Can you imagine how loud that building would be if the Sonics came back to town???

@@joesakic91 man, I would love to see the Sonics again. We had a successful example on how to do it in the Winnipeg Jets. And any other year except '96 the Sonics would win the final. 67 wins, amazing game. They faced the only team that was better

As for the Sonics being an example like the Winnipeg Jets, Mark Chipman and True North Sports and Entertainment had to buy a minor league franchise first in the Minnesota Moose and make it float and successful as the Manitoba Moose before the NHL gave them a chance to present their case on why they can sustain a successful NHL franchise with the first attempt is luring the old first incarnation of the Winnipeg Jets turned Arizona Coyotes before it fizzled and cashed in on a tumultuous franchise in turmoil due to ownership in the Atlanta Thrashers who had a pretty good nucleus to work with.

I wish they would put more rock and roll into these intros for the teams man, idk if it's because of how I grew up but rock makes everything more exciting! Like the san jose sharks intro is my favorite!
Im pretty biased against rock and roll but i cant argue with ya there. Rock and Roll and hockey really work together.

I was about to say the same thing, it's amazing he's brought hockey together to boo him at every event
Gary Bettman likes money. Too bad he can’t buy a soul.
Bettman is a nothing but a corrupt hockey killer for ruining the sport.
Bettman has done an amazing job for hockey since he took over for John Ziegler way back when. Think of all the teams now on the west coast and southern states. San Jose has been successful as Dallas, Nashville, Anaheim, Colorado. Whether expansion or relocating as is the case for Colorado - prior to Bettman hockey was not as popular and less teams. It’s now expanded and the TV contracts have been with major networks such as NBC, FOX and no back with ESPN. He has the most longevity out of all the 4 sports commissioners because the NHL owners know he is great for the sport.
I still wish the Kraken had bought the Rights to Liam Neison from Clash of the Titans saying "RELEASE THE KRAKEN"

Then, I go for St. Louis as the 32nd NBA franchise with Kansas City as their NBA G League affiliate.

Espn basically doesn’t broadcast the nhl con the main channel or ABC until 2022 lmao. They broadcasted opening night only to ignore it until January. At least turner sports is still putting nhl on tnt..
It was also on Hulu at the same time. Sounds like a lot of the games that will be on ESPN+ will also be shown there.
ESPN and NHL are being jerks in the coverage.
I think ESPN is giving priority to NFL and NBA because they have more stature and bring in more revenue than the NHL that’s the bottom line. I heard MLB fans were pissed also that ESPN ignores baseball as well compared to the NBA and NFL.

Why don’t they like Bettman? The sport has grown and the players earn more money since he has been commissioner
So ESPN bought the nhl rights only to put games on their premium service rather than actually show games on ESPN figures

ESPN does an awful job with hockey. Canadian networks cover hockey so much better. The US networks should take some pointers.
