German Shepherds have been so popular for such a long time that the quality of the breed overall is abysmal. That's not to say that you can't find a good German Shepherd --- it is certainly fine breed if you don't mind heavy shedding -- but if you want a mentally and physically healthy one, you had better plan on doing some research and looking around. You won't find one at the dog pound. And here's an acronym you should look up and get to know OFA.
I found a perfect one at the dog pound. Have had many since then and bred GSDs. Never had a bad one, but - and no offense intended to the German working lines shepherd laying next to me as I type this - never met one as wonderful as the one from the pound.
@@stevekru6518 It is better to be lucky than smart. And it is probably your time invested and enthusiasm for your first dog -- and the time that has passed-- that makes you think that dog was perfect. My first dog was a Humane Society stray Dalmatian. I went on to breed, show and judge them, but I remember that first dog with unbounded affection. He probably wasn't as wonderful as I thought he was, but I thought so at the time. So did you..
i am still waiting for the 11 facts that will shock me........ in this video there is nothing shocking and certainly not 11 shocking facts, it is just general information that is common knowledge, and almost everyone knows, the title is just a sensational claim that is based on well..actually nothing really.
My boy is the best friend I've ever had...
Best dog ever!
