It’s what we get some times with down hill welding. Crappy rod, burnin to cold, burnin too hot.. few different things cause bug holes. A bandaid is a “patch” or a Re-Cap.

I've never known to look to see what the wheels are made for! I'll have to look at the brand I used now, but if these are that great I may just start using them too!
On rolling up the power cord on grinders. I used to wrap my cord around the body of my grinder but have decided it is bad practice because the wires inside the cord twist which makes the cord twisted and awkward. Roll them up in a figure 8 style (not all grinders have trigger handle like the one in the video) and be careful not to over tighten or twist the cord.
Austin you should come up to Canada and do some pipeline. My pipeline instructors are from the US. 6010 down hand, 8010 hot and fill. then 8010 cap down hand.WE might get to play with the Bohler rod.
Man I’d love to pipeline up there! Anywhere new! I love goin to new places. That sounds like a great deal y’all have goin on. Very exciting. I’ve used them bohler rods. I like em for the most part. Depends on what size of pipe (thickness and diameter). The flux seems to be thicker on the rod.
You must be out of 488? They usually will have a down hand coarse once in a while . If you get a chance run some beads with 8010 . there are procedures out there that use 8010 for beads ( Gr.483 pipe and up) .I have a binder full of them . It is a faster freezing rod and will under cut your bottom 1/4 if you don't have the right travel speed . You do not want to have to much of key hole on the bottom . Don't long arc your bolher rod
488 Local, It's funny so many people registered and so many people dropped out when asked if they would commit. People take the course and waste time and money drop out and leave. Nothing worse than a brother who's a waste of space.
