I know I’m a bit late to the cyberpunk hype train but here I am. What made you love this show and the Cyberpunk aesthetic? Also should I play the game? Let me know !!!

The oppression of capiitalism is even less in the show then it is currently ^^.
(Mostly bc the SEC allows stuff like making 14 trillion in profit and paying 421 million in fines. Yes, punishment is a tiny % of profit. For reference, 2.2 Trillion $ exist as cash/printed. So if you see everything everywhere become more expensive, tax or game end the nearest hedgefund manager.

The game is great if your system is capable of handling it. Which they seemed to have worked on. I have a mid tier setup it does fine. Very very good game.

I ended up picking up the game, it was 50% off on steam at the time of the release of the anime...
Also, action button helped me also want to get it...
I'm like, 120 hours in, 20 hours into a new playthrough... Ugh

I loved the anime because it perfectly depicted Night City and its dark and gritty nature. It also broke away from the "lived happily ever after" mold that a lot of Anime shows are going for.
To me it really reinvigorated my love for Cyberpunk; which was already at a high (I've already played 170+ hours in Cyberpunk 2077 prior to Edgerunners coming out). Now with patch 1.6 and 1.7 plus the expansion on the horizon I can't wait to return for a fresh new playthrough. Cyberpunk 2077 was a true gem of a game in a sea of mediocre crap. It just sucks that its launch was so rocky; but I'm glad the devs didn't just drop it and move on like so many other companies do but kept working on it and made it so much better.

Great video, one caveat, there are lots of treatments for cyberphychosis, and he was using the right drugs, he was just unwilling to use the most effective treatment, downgrading his military grade hardware to standard function prosthetics.

@@dasquick rebecca and david going for a walk together is my favorite scene in the whole show. Because its so wholesome and probably the first time those two are alone together.
It hit extra hard for me because I have been in a location very similer in my life. I grew up near L.A so.
That badass lil shotgun gremlin mended my aching heart all in that one little episode then broke it 2 episodes later.

@@DecafisHere would highly recommend checking out the old 2020 stories and lore. It focuses on the 4th corporate war. We even have a new edition of the ttrpg that came out with 2077 to help bridge the timeline between the two. It's called Cyberpunk Red and explains the fallout of the 4th corpo war. Trade routes basically destroyed, megacorps dismantled and practically non-existent, the internet as it was ceased and led to the creation of the citynet systems which were basically the internet localized to a single city, waves of reclaimers setting out into the ruins of the world to rebuild smaller towns and cities, etc. There's a massive wealth of lore out there and it's all amazing. There's even an alternate timeline that takes place in the 2030s after the 4th corpo war but that kinda sputtered out and Mike Pondsmith didn't really pursue it

There actually are cures for cyberpsychosis. It just happens to be self care and comprehensive therapy which is something edgerunners tend to not do generally. It's also possible to pull someone out of a cyberpsychotic episode but it's extremely dangerous when the break is violent as we typically see.

Also the treatments can be pricey depending on which route you take. And there is a general Taboo in seeking aid for metal issues in Western Society, especially in a place like Night City where appearances mean so much.

    • @WolffangLightwood
      @WolffangLightwood Год назад

@@qtar1984 Oh absolutely, but the best way to maintain sanity is to find a reliable and tight knit surrogate family. Maybe house rule relaxation with the crew and having a powow as a sort of group therapy session... Maybe 1d6/2 so the max you could regain during down time with your crew is 3 humanity. It wouldn't be much but it's honest therapy.

Why the "is actually romance"? My favorite anime of 2021 was horimiya if we don't count mushoku tensei and 2019 was bunny girl senpai, like romances anime are fun too

    • @DecafisHere

The reason why I say romance is because of the relationship between Lucy and David!
