I could listen to him talk all day. He is articulate and such a Historian. Very informative.👏
Very informative indeed! And he loves speaking about history. I’ll try to get him to do a few more. Fingers crossed 🤞🏽
Mr Edwin is very intelligent and knows his islands history. You must be really proud of him. He should start his own channel 😊
I'm very, very proud of him! I'm trying to get him to do a mini series on this channel so that every few weeks or so you'll see him. So continue to encourage him so that he'll do more of them.
Hey Nezzle, your dad is a Grenadian walking history encyclopedia, I learned some valuable history today, thanks to him and you for another awesome video, stay safe
You’re most welcome! Yes he’s a wealth of knowledge when it comes to Grenada! Glad you enjoyed it!
@@Nezzle Mr. Frank should think of writing a book or two about Grenada's history, he has a lot of knowledge and information that he can share, I now remember visiting the Butler House thanks to your dad's info.
@@dennislewis4886 I agree. I've been telling him he should write one for awhile now but he's hesitant to do so. He believes most of the information is already out there (which isn't really untrue) but that people don't do much reading nowadays.
@@Nezzle hey maybe an e-book on Grenada's history thought in schools can help us all understand our history a little better
@@dennislewis4886 It's a good idea. Maybe, in time, I'll be able to convince him to write one.
Mr Frank, Walking wealth of knowledge. I truly appreciated his session today.
Really glad you enjoyed it and found the video informative!
I have done 2 wonderful island tours with your Dad, my first in 2019 and the 2nd Dec 2021. I just can't get enough of the wealth of information I get from your father about the people, the culture and the land of Grenada. I must also add he is an excellent driver! I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to do an island tour. 👍
Awesomeness!! I’m really happy you enjoyed both tours with him. He really loves what he does and it definitely comes through in the services he provides.
Hi Nezzle your dad have so much to offer under his belt , lot of history bless him we need to hear some more . the fact the he remember everything the board of tourism need people like your dad love it stay bless
Fun fact is that he was the Public Relations Officer at the Board of Tourism for many, many years. He's retired now so he does his tours privately but his love for Grenada and tourism remain very strong. I'll try to get him back on the channel in the not too distant future.
I love these videos about the history of Grenada. Your father is a walking encyclopedia.
Thank you! Yes he really is!
Your dad is awesome!!! I definitely learned several things from him today and look forward to future history lessons. Thank you!👏👏👏
Awesome! I’m glad you enjoyed it and found the information useful. I’ll try to convince him to make an appearance more often.
Your dad is so articulate. Beautiful area. Quite educational. Well done 👏
Thank you! Yes I’m always in awe of just how much information he has stored in his head.

Thanks for sharing never knew about that part. But I love tamarind as a child and even as an adult. Your Dad is the greatest thanks.
I am amazed by your dad knowledge of the history of so many things. He is so articulate and eloquent in his speech. Awesome Mr Frank.
Yes, he speaks very well and is very knowledgable. He continues to amaze me as well.
Hey!! Your Dad is very impressive!! His knowledge and communication skill is unparallel to most who spoke of our Island in the past. He is waaaay above. Please have him speak on our history again.! Maybe even start his own channel!! 😊👍
I’ll try to have him back as often as I can. He won’t have the time to do his own channel, nor do I think he has the interest in doing so, but hopefully he’ll be back on here more often. I’m glad you enjoyed the video.

Loved the video. I remember when the Islander was called Santa Maria. Many dances were held there, with the music drifting over the water to the Carenage and beyond. Did not know the history though. Thank you so much Edwin and Shenezzi.
I’ve heard that it was quite the party spot. I’m glad you were able to learn about the history and that you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching!!

We’re headed to Grenada in August!! Thanks for Dad’s info!
You're most welcome. I hope you'll enjoy your time here when you come.
Hi Nezzie, Mr. Frank your dad is awesome. He is definitely a walking historian of the island of Grenada. My wife recently told me that growing up as a child in Grenada, there used to be a zoo, and amusement park on the island. Can Mr. Frank give us more information and details on where these were located, and what happened to them and why they are no longer around. Again thanks for another great vlog. Big up to Dad, and you.
Hi Brian, I can definitely ask him. He is a walking historian for sure. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
This was a wealth of knowledge from your dad. Thank you for sharing. This will be great information for my daughter to learn about where her father comes from
Awesome!!! I’m so glad you find it informative. I also just posted one which is a deeper look at our history. Maybe she’ll enjoy that one as well.
Enjoy very much. Love the history lesson, learned quite a lot in short time. Your dad a great history teacher!!!
Yes he knows his history very well. I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Fantastic short video, coincides with my study of Bishop and the revolution....very informative, keep it coming.
Wonderful! Glad you enjoyed it and found it informative 😊
You and Dad should do a video on The Bianca C incident.
That's a great suggestion. I've taken a note of it. Thanks!
Enjoyed! Always interested in learning about the Island where I was born...lots of things I didn't know and it fascinates me because I still love my island although I've been away quite a number of years.
Home will always be home. I’m glad you enjoyed the video and learned some new things about Grenada. Thanks for watching!

Yes, that would be lovely.

Nice! Hope you enjoyed it!
As a Grenadian who have lived abroad for several decades, I really appreciate these videos.
Would love to know more about Sauteurs one my favorite parish.
Keep up the good work!
I can imagine. I know many people who are away really miss seeing home. I’ll see what I can do about doing some more videos in those areas.
@@Nezzle I would appreciate it!When I return my brother always take me around the island and visit all the parishes. It’s a wonderful treat that I truly enjoy.
I’m planning to return sometime this summer. Hopefully the virus won’t be too bad.
@@rosalinelowe972 yes hopefully. It seems to be weakening so let’s hope it continues on this trajectory. I think everyone is eager to return to some semblance of normalcy.
My only issue with this video is that it was too short....I love it...keep them coming!
lol we tried to keep it short and sweet. There's another one coming in a few weeks on the forts that is a bit longer though so stay tuned for it.
I really enjoyed listening and watching this
Thanks Marguerite!
Hi Nezzle can your Dad do a history vlog of Richmond Hill. Thanks for the information. Your dad amazing was he a Teacher? Thanks 😊 again.
I can definitely ask him and see. You're welcome. No, my dad wasn't a teacher but he was the Public Relations Officer at the Board of Tourism for many years.
This is such a beautiful area, I don't recall the name Islander Hill, although I recall Pandy Beach from one of your other vlogs. As for tambrand, it's so delicious, tangy and tart (sour). I can only get the sweet variety here. I miss the tartiness.(is that word?). So odd to hear it called tamarind, kind of like Moung Parnassus, to hear it called MOUNT Parnasuss sounds so odd. Thank you for another great vlog
lol yeah the correct pronouncing is tamerind but ain't nobody got time to be that fancy lol. I like tamerind balls but I hardly eat tamerind straight from the tree. Islander had been shown in that same vlog where I showed Pandy beach but I suppose you forgot it.
Your dad have vast knowledge of the island he's also well-spoken which makes it easy to comprehend!.. I just wish Grenada would add these things to the curriculum... lots of grenadians don't even know that Malcolm X mother is from Grenada or the first king of Haiti Henri Christophe is also Grenadian these are things that should be added to Grenada curriculum.. I do study history myself especially black history especially my history before slavery... give your dad my regards he always does a beautiful job blessings 🙌🏾
Thank you! I will tell him. I agree. I wish more local history was covered in schools. We learn so much about other places but most persons know next to little about our own island.
Real talk
THANK YOU to you and your dad for this informative video. I learned so much and I can listen to your dad for hours....amazing knowledge. Many of the names he mentioned I remember in Trinidad but didn't know the history since I left so young. Thanks again guys!!
You’re most welcome!! I’m glad you enjoyed it and found the information useful. Yes daddy has a wealth of knowledge. I’ll try to get him to share it more often.

Fetes on Islander, I'm interested in hearing about those lol. I'm glad we were able to share the history of it with you.
@@Nezzle ,what can I say about the sometimes upend parties that was held there.I was a kid in a musical band called the Maniacs Combo and had the privilege of playing at the Islander Hotel... . Also @ the Lions Den, Spice Island Inn.Calabash Hotel.and other venues in Grenville /which ever Parish we were hired to play in.Those were the slow dancing period.Lol

We have tamarind here in Jamaica. It is used to make drinks. It is also rolled into tiny balls (#Tamarindballs )and sugar is added to mask the sour taste. it is quite nice I must say.
Yes same thing here.
Hi Girl. Very informative and educative vlog! Well done. Great man filled with valuable knowlede is your Dad. Thanks for considering the idea i gave you last year about french names of places in Grenada and the history behind them. Most informative, did not learn these in school. Look forward to many more of these videos.
Wish you many blessings and success for this year
Glad you found it informative. Unfortunately, there's so much about our island's history that we are not taught in school. It is a shame.
Butler was involved in many polical rallies in fyzabad. He's buried @ the Apex cemtery, not far away from where he held is meetings.
There is a local radio program out here that goes by the name #TalkingHistory hosted by a professor from the UWI Mona campus.
Oh sounds good. My dad would like something like that.

Very happy to hear it!
Wow, Mr. Frank looking young man. Imagine I know him since attending Woburn Methodist school ( that's over 25 years). Most afternoons after school he would be on the porch or in the yard and we would call out to him. His sister, Ms. Frank ( your aunty) was one of my teachers at the school. We have places that go by the names Belair, Belvedere, and Bellevue here in Jamaica . I'm not sure how we came by them, to the best of my knowledge the French never really had any impact on our history like Spanish and English. Just to add our mental health hospital goes by the name Bellevue.
Hmmmm that is very interesting!!
As a Grenadian, I am shame to ask where islander Hill is located? But, I'm still asking. So on my next visit home, I can visit. Thanks in advance.
At Belmont, St. George's
No shame in asking. I didn’t know about the area until about a year or two ago. Belmont is correct. The entrance is near to the traffic lights. Instead of taking the road down to Pandy beach, take the right and head up there. Hopefully the directions are clear but of course Grenadians are always happy to guide you so if it’s not clear enough, I’m sure someone will guide you when you get to the area.
I know your dad very well, so you related to the franks in Boca?
