Review - Aimcam Pro 2i

Long over due review of the AimCam Pro 2i Glasses and camera. It's been almost two year since I've had these glasses and they are still holding up strong. It was Time to write something up about them After 2 years and hours of recording time that these have lasted. Paired along some hunterHD Gold Lenses that were cut to fir the glasses provided by Hunters HD Gold.

Thanks for the video. Can you tell more about how you got the Hunters Gold lens done. I currently have Hunters Gold glasses with progressive lens. I'd like to get those(or new) lens into the Aimcam glasses.

Yes you would Have to Get new Lens, just contact them And they will work with you. They initially said send in the frames, but since I use the AimCam a lot, so I asked if I can send in one of the lens that cam with it instead and they said yes. So I sent in the Lens so they can cut it to match the ones that cam with the AimCam and sent them back to me with the new HDGolds, which fit right in. I didn't have a progressive lens on them so it was quick and easy but I know they have extra questions when you have a prescription that needs to go on the lens. Hello, how about video stabilisation? I was thinking about getting one for POV for my motorcycle riding as well :)

Good Question, And compared to the the other cameras that I used ( cheaper ones ) it seems to shake less when I run, but there is still movement shown on camera. And there isn't any setting for Stabilize Video for the AimCam, but there is one in iMovie which I never played with. And I have only used these for shooting and not for any bike rides or any other activity so I can say how stable the video will be on any other activities other than running and gunning, which for that it works great and I'm sure they will do well for other activities I just never tried it for anything else.

That’s a great question, I have enjoyed my PRO2I, i guy I shoot with has the pro3k and also enjoys it. I have not seen any difference in video quality between mine and his. And I don’t know anyone that has the strike. The strike seems conventional since you don’t have to worry about camera adjustment. However I wanted that option to adjust the camera to get were I was aiming on camera or switch position if I was using a rifle with an optic. The strike would be good if you also wanted to capture you pov for other action sports or archery. Archery I would be worried about the string knocking out the camera but haven’t tested that yet. The other guy that have the pro3k also had his for a few years to and doesn’t have issues with his. So I can’t say which is the best because it depends on your intended use for them. I mostly use mine for matches, live and dry fire practice.
