      @dannyoatman4222 Turn Base Multi Shooter Simulators ( Turn Based ) for would be the Laser Ammo Competitive Shooter Pro ( CSP ) Released in 2023 which you can Add the Stages you want to shoot and the number of shooters. Shooting-Soft Pro Target Constructor ( PTC ) which you can pick the shooters you want for that stage. Both CSP and PTC will allow you to see the end results for each shooter for that run. Laser Ammo Steel Challenge also Allows turn based shooters to run a stage. If you wanted to run games, the Laser Ammo Smokeless Range has Split screen for two people on the apps that come with it. The Shooting-Soft 25 Basic Shooting Games Allow up to 4 players which the screen is split 4 ways. If that helps you out any?

    hi JoeMKy. been enjoying the SR for a while now as well as watching your vids. FWIW, my decision to make the plunge with SR was mainly due to watching your channel. one thing that i keep hearing about is that there's supposed to be an SR community and in that community, there's the ability to download each other's custom courses. well, i've searched thru the SR site and came up empty. i also did a number of internet searches and also came up with no helpful sites. for example, several of the sites had almost no SR info, but was deluged with a lot of obvious spam posts. anyway, in this video (around 3:37) you mention that you downloaded a custom course "the john wick drill ..." could you post where this custom course can be found and any other sites that you might have found that have a good SR community of users (not just for downloads, but for other info/tips/tricks as well)? thanks!

      @joemky 6 дней назад

      @ee222 I'm glad you have been enjoying the video's. If RUclips didn't complain about links I'd post it this. I just recently joined Facebook in December found the "Laser Ammo Smokeless Range Owners group" which you just search for that in Facebook and it comes right up, which they do share stages from Open Range. When I mentioned downloaded I meant downloaded form RUclips. it was something I mocked up from the Shooting USA Video "Shooting USA: Pro Tip Ken Hackathorn: The John Wick Drill". Which there was some strings that I didn't explain in my stage design on that, which is why it was never shared. Which I thought about sharing in a GitHub repo along with others but never got around to creating it. That Facebook group does have info, tips and tricks and shared stages from what I've seen. I just join it, and still learning the Facebook ropes.

      @@ee222 Yeah I understand, I held out on getting a Facebook account ever since they started. But the local Kentucky shooters had a group that also posted when Trainers was coming to a club near me and I've missed a lot of opportunities for getting some training done, so I decided to join just based on that. And I just added other shooters as friends and join 4 groups and just check it every now and then from a web browser instead of using their app. Yeah If I come across any forum that saves files I will let you know. Also I Created a Repo for the Laser Ammo CSP stages, but I might rename it so I can also throw in the Open Range stages or any other stages from Laser Ammo. When I do I'll post a video with a link in the description to the Github Repo so you can download the files. Nice footwork Joe! I see you moved indoors. 😂 Did you notice that switching from outdoors to indoors you shoot worse at first...like there's a learning curve? Maybe it's just me but I had an adjustment period for some reason.

    • @joemky
      @joemky 7 дней назад

      @eblake626 Thanks, Yeah they started a indoor match an hour and a half north of me last month it was nice to be able to shoot and not worry about the weather. In some ways yes, I'm use the feeling the gravel and the fault lines are normally wood. The PVC took a little little while to get use to. In the 3rd stage on the last shot from the first box I normally put my foot out a bit but off the ground, and if it was touching I could feel the gravel but I couldn't feel the change in ground at the indoor range so I got a foot fault Penalty. It wasn't until the 4th and last stage I found my groove. It was different but fun and of course if I can I will do it again.

    • @eblake626
      @eblake626 7 дней назад

      @joemky I hear ya. The PVC will move if not taped enough and our range makes us do muzzle forward reloads because the roof isn't able to stop a round, so I had a lot running through my head when I went indoors. Anyways, it's nice to shoot while comfortable.

    • @joemky
      @joemky 7 дней назад

      @@eblake626 Yeah there was a PVC shooting box that had to be re-taped. They didn't mention anything about the muzzle forward reloads, but I can see how that will mess with you if you had to think about during a stage. @Sctty569 - It's has games but none of the simulators, even the ace vr shooting , is geared for realistic graphics like Call of Duty or Far Cry, etc. Most of these simulators are geared for average PC's and not Gaming PC's or Consoles. It's more about handling the mechanics of using a firearm with a Laser Pistol, simulated recoil device, or your Actual Firearm with a Bolt Insert for AR, or laser cartridge inset or Coolfire trainer to work on the mechanics with your/a firearm for general practice or for Practical/Action Pistol applications, reflex and hand eye coordination, and even firearms training in a safe dry fire environment with feed back on how you did over all. I haven't played with them but I've seen there are some heavy graphic games that you can use in vr with physical rifle or pistol that you can use is what you might be looking for.

      @kidiraq8381 I still use it in my daily dry fire training. If I have a USPSA/IDPA major match I use their CSP add on or SC add on for Any steel Challenge Match. When I don't have a Major Match I tend to use the target shooting option that comes with the base Smokeless Range, as a warmup for 10 minutes doing 4 different sessions with a par time of 5 seconds: first group shooting 5 shots free hand a couple of times, then Strong Hand only 5 shots a couple of times, Weak hand 5 shots a couple of times. the 5 Shots free hand, reload and 5 more shots in under 5 seconds, then the last one is 4 shots to the body and 1 to the head. That is just the warm up, then I start going into the other apps that come with the smokeless range to try and beat my current high score, or go into any of the other add on's. Tactical Targets, Open Range, SC or CSP for 10-15 minutes. So yeah still use it on a regular basis since 2022. It 's nice to have different options for dry fire practice to keep it interesting after years of doing it.

    Hey Joe, just came across your review of Imarksman. I want to shoot primary steel challenge. I’m now shooting RFPO. I’m very new to this system so not clear what I would need from them to get set up? I don’t see any of their pistols set up for Rimfire probably because of how they function? Do they have a pistol with an optic? Thanks

    • @joemky
      @joemky 3 месяца назад

      @1940restorod - Most of their starting kits come with the Camera Sensor, Calibration Software and the main software in this case Steel Challenge. The SIRT Pistols that they offer do not have an optic mount, It wasn't until sometime last Year that SIRT made a laser pistol with a mount option in the 110 model. I ended using their Sig P320 model and used a plate mount, which replaced the rear sight so you can add an optic to it. Which is what I use for RFPO training and USPSA & IDPA Carry Optics practice. I did wish there was a Ruger 22/45 laser pistol out there but that doesn't exist at this time. You can just the code JOE10 for 10% imarksman products now if you wanted to. If you wanted the SIRT 110 with the optic mount you would have to get that separate from NextLevelTraining dot com.

      Do you feel the response from trigger pull to hit is accurate? In other words will my times be accurate?

    • @joemky
      @joemky 3 месяца назад

      @@1940restorod Great Question! Hard to answer. So There are times that I am not performing at my best so times vary in general on Dry and Live fire. However I have been keeping a spreadsheet of my sessions before the State Match when I am doing nothing but practice for Steel Matches. My Best times have either matched the performance from the State Match or plus or minus 3 seconds from my best time from the dry fire session data. So there was improvement from the year before, but not by much since I used this for the month before and attended 1 steel match the month before. I'm sure the times would match more if I just practice with steel on dry fire and went to the Steel Matches every month. But this always vary with my mixing in USPSA and IDPA during the year and what ever has a Level 3 match coming up is what I concentrate on more, which is usually USPSA for the last 2 years, Might be different next year but we will see.

      @@1940restorod in short, despite only doing one club match in July and a state match in august, and dry fire all of July and before that state match. I wasn't worse than the year before but just a little better, but that was expected since I didn't shoot steel a lot this year. Was able to hit podium for RFPO but could have done better if I did more steel matches earlier in the year.

    • @joemky
      @joemky 3 месяца назад

      @modern_shooting - I haven't played with Laserammo VST Pro 2, but what I saw from the pictures of it, it looks like you draw out the targets you tend to shoot at. This one is not as static as that. If you put in a scenario of an attacker holding a hostage, VST you draw out the attacker, this one, you view the end results to see if you hit the target that you wanted and wear it hit or if you hit the hostage as you go through the results and see a red dot on the hostage which indicate a hit in that area. This one comes with 4 videos, one has the police stopping a car. the attacker runs out shoots and run's back. So when partite or # of shots is reach and the training stops you can view the results to see where you hit the attacker or if you missed.

      @@joemky Yes, I have VST Pro 2. I know how it works. My idea was to just play a run from the stage (just like you did) in VST Pro, without editing, because by default the VST Pro will show you where you hit. Speaking of time, you get it from your shooter timer, which picks up the sounds of gunfire from the speakers. In the AAR, you can review your shots (accuracy) and the timer will show you (speed/time/splits etc). In this way, you will theoretically be able to keep track of the most important factors in an efficient way and replay the virtual stages very quickly.

    • @joemky
      @joemky 3 месяца назад

      @@modern_shooting Yeah Sorry I didn't mean to imply that you didn't know how it works, I was just stating what I say from lack of experience in never trying it. And that is a cool way of doing that. I guess with this one you don't have to use a separate timer to track total Tim and splits, and you can set a par time to speed. But this does stop when you hit the number of shots that you define. I don't know if VST stops at a number of shots, end of video or if you define a stop target. With live, If I set 32 for the house clearing and the total targets round count is 30 then I am giving my self two extra make up shots, so if I make it to the last target and have two extra shots, I need to use the 2 extra shots to stop it. Same goes if I had a lot of makeup shots before and end up shooting my 32 before getting to the last two targets, so I end up with 4 misses because I ran out of ammo before the last two targets. So it would be nice if I could set a designated stop target and not have to worry about round counts.

    • @joemky
      @joemky 3 месяца назад

      @ee222, Before this you use the camera calibration software, which I mentioned in the video. It's the same calibration software that is used for their other products, Steel Challenge, Action Steel, Game Pack etc. Once that is setup and calibrated, the iMarksman Live is just like any of their other software, click to open and start using. With this one you can make your own or import a video from RUclips to shoot along with. When making your own, you just have to be conscious of the speed. The House video I had to reshoot 3 times to get the speed right. @iMarksman has also recently posted some video's on this products using it in other ways. But yup, just setup the targets video and go. If you shoot competitions, you can record a stage on a walk through and use that video for this. Or house or building clearing if you wanted to as I did

      @ee222 The Scholastic Action Shooting Program is like Steel Challenge, a set number of courses of fire to shoot, except that you have to be a student and participate in the Scholastic Shooting Program for your school, I believe it goes all the way to college level. Steel Challenge is for 9 and as old as you get were you can still shoot. Steel Challenge is also something you can look on practiscore to see if there is any matches near you for steel challenge. • @joemky

      @ee222 - It kind of is, but it isn't. The Competitive Shooter Pro ( CSP ) is geared toward your action shooting sports, which stages you make and the targets are the same targets and position every time. The Tactical Targets, is kind of like the CSP, but the targets are random, so you can run through the same stage and the targets tend to change. Sometimes you have a lot of targets to shoot and sometimes you have less. Other than remembering the rooms in Tactical Targets, the Targets are usually different. in CSP, you can remember the layout as well as the type of targets that are available at each position. Scoring on CSP is a little more in-depth as well. Tactical Targets is something I still enjoy to run through while walking on a tread mill since the scoring area is a little more forgiving and most are the targets are closer than some of the ones I practice with in CSP. But if you wanted to use this for shoot house practice, it is pretty good since you have to quickly identify threats and non threat targets

      @NolanVanover - They say the code is still active and might not work on already discounted items. Other than that I have not heard back from them on any other update

    Have you checked out the ace? I've been using it for the last two months and loving it. Between the mantis and ace those are my two dry fire trainers I love using.

      The only Mantis product I have tried was the Blackbeard and like it, I didn't like the add on for the rail for the pistol since I would have to get a new holster from the look of it. And I haven't tried any of the Augmented Reality ( AR ) devices since I'm not a fan of goggle systems like that. Those kind of systems always gave me headaches. But if you like it and it works well for you that's good. Any that helps keep dry fire interesting and engaging is a good thing.

      @joemky for the mantis, they sent a small pickatiny rail. So I used some double-sided tape and taped it to the bottom of a magazine. That way, I didn't have to get a different holster, and I could use the draw function on it. I'm not a fan of the other ar/vr games (I get sick), but the ace app I'm good with.

      @@Ryuus1 I might have to check that out for the mantis. And it's good to know that the AR head set might now make me sick, but they will probably be further down the road since the cost of the headset and the year subscription for the app costs a bit. I still need to upgrade my projector to something better for the dry range I have not first. But I'll keep the Ace in mind for the future, thanks for letting me know on the Ace and Mantis!
