What microphones do you use to record your piano?

The Theorist Thank you! Would you recommend recording with one large diaphragm condenser microphone if you're on a budget? For my case, I have a Yamaha U2 upright piano, so I was wondering if it is okay to place one mic above the piano in the middle to record instead of using two mics.
You would want to have two channels.. one left and one right to get a a good stereo mix or else, you're left with a mono channel. There's also the option of renting mics from audio equipment centers
