    I tend to agree with you. Whilst the theory is great, we all should be aware of each other as drivers on the road, as fallible people, some experienced, some traumatized. In this instance with identifying plates, where does it stop? Do they bring in an S for a senior who while capable might not be driving as confidently as before? Or if you've been convicted with Road rage do you need to start wearing an A for Angry plate? My motto is to treat every other driver on the road the way I hope to be treated and try to ignore the Dickheads. Having been driving for nearly 49 years and only my accident been someone running into me whilst I was stationary, I think this method serves me well 😉

      Best advice i was given, drive as though every other driver is out to kill you. Comes in handy in the virtual world as well :) H for Hoon? E for Eacer? 😉

      100%! I’ll never understand people’s need to be impatient or harass others on the road so they can get to their destination 2 minutes faster 😂

    American here, so my opinion on this matter is, to say the least, not important. But I think it's fine, and a good option, as long as they keep it an option and not enforced. That way people at least have a choice. Otherwise, people may become targets for less mannered people on the road. Hopefully those who want it can use it if it helps them, and those who don't can just ignore it for their vehicle.
    Also, had a question: for putting plates on, any of the intermediate ones, are they easy to remove? Or are the plates just added based on who the vehicle is registered to? A lot of new drivers in the US will use their parents vehicles as a first car, so would they have to display them whenever the new driver would be driving?

      Hey dude!! So the way the plates work is it’s a plastic plate that sticks to the inside of the front and rear windshields with suction cups. As a “learner” anytime you are driving the vehicle you just display the L plate. Same for P1 and P2 drivers. It also goes the other way aswell, if you are a fully licensed driver you must make sure that the plates aren’t on the car when you drive. So if you use your parents car you have to put them on and your parents will have to remember to remove them ( if you didn’t) otherwise they could face a fine for driving with the respective plate incorrectly. 😄 hope that makes sense!

    I’m against it. I’ve seen people tailgate learners before who are visibly new to the road. When I was doing my learners, I’ve been beeped by impatient people before. Great for the meaning behind it, but as you said it will make them a target.

    • @KyleSpoor
      @KyleSpoor  2 года назад

      I agree with you. And that’s such a good point about Learner drivers! I hope I’m wrong and this doesn’t cause people to be targets but only time will tell I guess

    I think it is a waste of time, you will end up with someone hassling you. Good intentions but could do the total opposite for them and make them hate driving more.
    Side note, love the background

    • @KyleSpoor
      @KyleSpoor  2 года назад

      I agree with you! I’d hate to think of someone being even more put off about rejoining the road because someone hassled them due to the plate!
      And good eye 😉 I had a feeling you’d notice it haha

    R plates. Great way to get bullied on the road. Especially after covid.

    Less savory individuals will definitely use maliciously, no doubt about it. People can be dicks. Reminds me of something similar to the Japanese, where they have stickers for the elderly. Have had moments when driving where I've gotten impatient on an onramp, car in front was doing bout 10kph below, found out after overtaking later that it was a little old lady and I'm feeling like and ass. There was an idea at my workplace, of using bright pink cards/signage to indicate that someone was disabled and needed to wave that to get a workers attention, i felt that was degrading to the individual, i don't think that got very far.

      You’re so right! I feel terrible anytime something like that happens. But you know that there’s definitely people out there that may take it as an opportunity to act like an ass

    This is esentially a marketing stratergy by My car (Kmart Tyre and Auto ) dressed up as a public health campaign. the media don't tell you why they are doing it. Most people think its the government that's just scary. Maybe the government should bring out a new H plate for Hoons! Hey bro why did you get that H plate ? Beacuse I like to go sideways round the bend :)

    • @KyleSpoor
      @KyleSpoor  2 года назад

      You’re 100% correct! The way they made the campaign is to give the feel of a government initiative! I didn’t realise how bad it was till I read your comment!

      Only because when I was truck driving. I would notice anyone with p or l plates get targeted/tailgated. And to be honest. Some of the most impatient and rude drivers were those with either kids on board signs and or stickers. And the obvious heros who drive on the street like they're playing gta5 or something 🤣🤣
