This has been sitting in my library, untouched, for months. Guess this is as good a chance as any to play it so I can then get annoyed at DF not knowing how to play. EDIT: I downloaded and played a bit. Beat the first boss first run, and then had continued failure for an hour where I could not even reach the boss, after which I succeeded again. Honestly, the bosses are easier than the actual floors. Or maybe that's just me cause I was playing Furi last week. EDIT2: After what steam tells me is 5 hours of game time, I beat the final boss for the first time. Still feel like winning against a boss is much easier than doing the actual floors fully. It's a good game nonetheless.
Not Chico and Pico yeah hope add a shock area to the game, we are only missing that one element. Unless they decide to make an ultra hard chaos zone as post game content
eh yea i would say all of the bosses are really easy once you know them, they have rotations and patterns, and they have a combo window after they do their own combo, it gets shorter the further in you go though, so a ranged spell is great to catch them and initiate a combo. this game has some crazy breaks btw, like 100% evasion.
Depends which ones. The most fun I think I ever had was using fall/limited edition cloak to then take as many things that would usually be bad to take i.e do double dmg take double, 45% dodge take double damage, half cooldowns take double dmg, to just cascade where my normal attacks were doing like 100+ dmg and I was critting for 400s. the final boss melted so, so quickly.
Please do more Dungeon crawlers like this, Enter the Gungeon is great but it may be harder than what you like, or you can just stick to this game which would be great too. just do content that you'll enjoy
I'm really excited to see you playing this! Some tips that should help; your basic arcana is on left click and doesn't have a cool down, you can use it to stunlock enemies if you attack fast enough. You can only hold 20 relics at any time so choose wisely. Combos are done by attacking bosses when their shield is down in between attacks. Those are all the tips i have right now but expect more on the next video!
just a tip... when the blue bar is full your "Q" ability reset and become stronger, it's your signature move the blue bar goes up when u hit enemies with diferents spells
Kronos at first it’s hard to get used to but once you nail it down you can speed run start to finish with every arcana, cloak, and relic in under 4 hours
I'd love to see this series go forward DF, I've been wanting to go back and play more of Wizard of Legend, but haven't had the thought to, and this video finally gave me the heart to go back into the game.
Hey DF, played the hell out of this game myself. One tip for a little boost is there's a vendor in the courtyard that will buy 20 of your gems and give you a huge gold boost to start the trials with, always worth it because you're almost always guaranteed to get 20 gems on the first floor alone. Also a warm Hello from Australian
BTW the big bosses have patterns to their attacks. after three attacks they will stop for awhile and that's when you are supposed to hit them cause they can't hit you. After the first one though they get harder and attack more. Love this game and hope you keep playing.
It's 3 attacks, then 4, then 5, before you can stun them. The final boss has a different attack pattern. SPOILERS if you want to work him out yourself: Phase 1 is just one chaos move, with a gap in between each attack, so dodge then mash buttons until you break his shield. Then bully him. Phase 2, he does 1 attack of every element, ending on a chaos arcana. He dashes twice while vulnerable, so get at him quickly. There are lots of good moves with big AOE or homing to stun him, and makes it easier to quickly hit your stronger arcana. I hope this helps someone, good luck! They all take lots of trial and error to gradually learn.
Ok pro tip. The more mobs you kill before you fight the boss the less mobs will spawn when you fight the boss (like if you killed all the mobs you would only have the boss spawn not the extra enemies)
Theres a relic called surefire rocket. Its really handy in all stages of the game and i would recommend starting with it cuz it stops signature charge decay. Of course, there are other great relics to start off with, such as the map if youre speedrunning or like graduation cap if youre tryna farm gems, but surefire rocket is a great one to have for normal runs
I recommend just dodging and not worrying about attacking on the big bosses, after they attack a certain amount they start to do this taunting thing where they’re left wide open, the bigger the hit you get during the taunt the longer it’s stunned
Best tip for playing this game. You can win with almost any spells. If you take your time and don't rush into things head on you should be fine. Rushing is often a problem and not helpful unless you have the equestrian cap and the rainbow tail then speed is your ally.
I freaking loved this game. It’s so worth the purchase. My tip is to make sure to keep your distance from enemies. They barely have any wind up time before they hit you. Those hits add up
I play this game, any card you get after the character bosses you defeat become part of your arsenal, the floating book in you starting house/room to the right. Some characters in the teleporting area before you go to the dungeon have special little twists, this game is about experimenting and finding the best combos.
Going to be interesting to see how DF does this one. Usually his method is to just grind to ludicrous power, but a lot of what works in this one is finding synergistic combos. Admittedly that does require grinding out a lot of gems to have them all available.
Honestly DF is so inspiring I swear every time I watch one of his videos I just go and play whatever game he was. Like I am now playing wizard of legend at 3am in the morning and failing miserably lmao
When fighting the main bosses/side bosses, you want to wait out their attack until they either taunt or the outline disappears, that is when you do the most of your damage since the more damage you can do throughout the more it stuns them, would love to see you play more though DF
The tailor upgrades your current outfit for the run. It will also temporarily unlock the default outfit buffs. The Red is Offensive and the Blue is Defensive.
When bosses glow yellow, focus on avoiding their combos. When they stop glowing, you can stun-lock them for a few seconds for some serious damage. Some of the best passives in the game is evasion. Get a cloak with evasion and start with an item that boosts evasion. The health you save by not being hit adds up, can can save you from not being stun-locked yourself.
Stage bosses and floor bosses have openings where they aren't outline and floor bosses taunt to show this. During that time, attack them. When they're hit, they get put into a stun. Also with the Dragon Arcs, it's a stacked attack or something. Basically, it'll show the icon when charged, but it will only have two shots. Wait to use it.
I’m excited to see you finally play this game. The combat really speeds up as you get new arcana and get a feel for all the enemies. (Btw buy the Bolt rail basic arcana, it’s the best basic imo)
If you run towards an edge you actually wont fall off, so you can use that for more precise dashing Also there are 2 important relics you should always start your runs with. Either the Hand of Midas(?) that gives more gold drops or the Relic Coupon I think its called that gives a discount on everything in the relic shop. Which is extremely useful because you can run out of money really quickly And Savile, the guy who said he'd give you a new outfit, he actually takes I think 100HP and actually UPGRADES your robe, making the effects of it more powerful by a little bit And the "combo" is when the boss stops glowing yellow, if you hit him when he isn't glowing you'll stun him/her and can get a lot of damage from it.
Ive found that one of the lightning basic arcana, volt disc, is really good. I would say that for me its the best basic arcana. Long range, good stun and a slight AOE, plus the upgraded version has a riccochet effect which is super good.
You made this game look much harder then it actually was, sticking with the first 4 garbage skills instead of swapping them out at the hub definitely set you back
Finally a game I actually know! Deafeating the bosses isn't that hard, you just have to count their attacks. They always do the same amount of attacks before taking a secound to strike poses, then you just spam all your attcks. It's also a good idea to trade the crystals for gold. You can do that by talking to the rich lady in town, but at first it's more advisable to safe the crystals for better arcana, outfits and items. Oh, and the enemies have strenghts and weaknesses, water > fire, for example. The bosses share the weaknesses of the enemies in their respective dungeon setting.
soon as you can maximize your crit chance in this game, youll see great power, bad choices usually lead to a dead run, good choices can still do the same to be honest, just enjoy whatever you like using the most, and the colors of coats actually do different things, oh an recovering health is painful to do, besides health potions, so good luck with that. and if you want to maximize you profits, break anything and everything that can be broken, small chance of money from anything nearly
I don't know how I acquired this game, but after watching this I went to buy it. Turns out I've had it for a while! Its quickly becoming a favorite time killer. I'm horrible at it, but it's definitely fun. You did much better than me on my first runs.
as a wizard of legend veteran I will tell you some things when you dash you don't take damage and when your glowing that means your fireball or what ever signature is you have will get its super attack
Wizard of legend is great and I hope to see more episodes of it on this channel, please and thank you. I would probably suggest getting a good cloak that fits your play style, and then mostly focusing on more arcana. Going in with a good hand will really help and it can be expanded within the trials, experiment with what you think works best. Be sure to just buy a few random arcana in the trial shops so you can see what they do, assuming you get to a point where you have the gold to spare.
Bosses are very easy to kill if you understand their mechanics. Basically, all bosses except the first stage of the final boss have certain periods when they attack. During this state, the are surrounded by a yellow shield and cannot be stunned. After a certain amount of attacking, the yellow shield drops temporarily. If you hit them without the shield, they are stunned and have a long period of vulnerability where they do not attack. Hope that’s helpful to you and any new players.
When you are fighting bosses, you should keep in mind to only try and attack when they have no yellow outline, no yellow outline means they can be stunned by *any* attack and their damage resistance is increased.
God dammit, DF! You are making me buy all those games you touch! I honestly don't really know what it is about you, but I really want to play the games you do videos on way more than any other RUclipsr.
The game is build around combo and elemental type as you see. Arcana are worth because with them you have biggest combo to stun more the enemy and deal more damage. The bosses need to be hit when there "rest", when there are not glowing in yellow. It will deal more damage and you have the combo stun working.
He has a lot to learn. Btw, try to combine abilities to get a constant combo. It makes it easier to fight bosses. Main way to defeat bosses is to dodge with your dash when you know what their attack pattern is and then when they get out of attack phase, combo lock them to get as much dmg as possible
Hey DF if you want to use a mostly dash/AoE loadout here it is; Air Spinner (Basic) Wave Front (Dash) Tectonic Drill Shocknova. It's gotten me out of and into a bunch of enemies, hope it helps.
It is the combination of spell that can "break" the run instead of stacking relics. Quick example is slow but powerful attacks with spells that increase attack speed.
ayyy I love this game edit: couple of small tips if you want em elemental resistances and weaknesses are a thing minibosses are harder the more enemies you leave on the floor make use of your basic attack it's surprisingly strong and doesn't have much of a cooldown for bosses you mainly want to just dodge until they stop glowing then attack them until stun wears off and repeat each subsequent boss adds 1 extra attack between stun windows your dash has s so use that melee critical build with crit heals is easy mode
This was awesome! keep up this series ploz! Also if u have spare time, pehaps try Risk of Rain? super fun to break, you can get rockets spewing everywhere AND it's infinitely grindable!
here's a tip that might be seen as scummy, if you have a big boss that you find yourself having the most trouble with, try to get a run with that boss being the first one you fight because the bosses get harder as you move on, they will also get new moves if you fight them as the second or the third boss.
A couple of tips causes the game has a really bad tutorial kiteing works but the most optimal strategy is comboing, you want to hit enemies with a combination of spells to put them in a stun lock so they cant attack you while you kill them Bosses have a yellow outline, when they have it they cannot be put into stun lock so focus on avoiding attacks, after they finish their attack the yellow outline disappears for a little while, when that happens you want to go in and unleash your combo
Just gotta learn when the stun time is for the bosses. 3 attacks on your first major boss. 4 on the second. 5 on the third and just wait for the space attack for the final boss. The mini bosses you can stun after each of their attacks.
Wizard of Legend is one of my favorite games to play. I've spent countless hours creating and trying new challenges. I really hope you enjoy the game DangerouslyFunny because I would love to see more of it.
I’ve been waiting for him to play this game! I’ve beaten this a lot of times and it’s still hard you die for many times if you’re not focused but it was still fun!!
Tip for next time, scales of Babalon are a good spell to use and it a really rare support spell. The speed boost is huge and helps a lot with dodging and escapes. Edit: Also if a boss is not glowing yellow, if you hit them it stuns them for s few seconds, and on the big bosses they stop glowing every 3 attacks, while the smaller bosses do so after every attack.
This is one of the only games I’ve played to completion and have gotten all achievements, try unlocking the vampire glasses it’s a relic you can start with that allows you to heal on critical strike along with the cloak that increases crit chance and crit dmg
A little tip for this game ^^ get more of the arcana you can buy before every runs you'll definetly have more fun with those and it will be easier and for the bosses wait till they are done with their attacks and then full on pummel them that's also easier hope you'll find it helpful ^^
Use all your abilities at the same time to a group of enemies, then dash away, rince and repeat, also bosses are stunned by you after they do 3 attacks thats when you are supossed to hit them by using the method above. Also dashing is your best friend and you should do it all the time
Poor man. He hasn’t begun to understand the pain here. Note- clearing the dungeon before gives the floor boss less health. When fighting bosses when their surrounded by yellow means you cant combo them. When they finish their attacks they get stunned then you can combo them.
Here's a thing to break the game, limited edition cloak, fall/ other source of natural regen, wallet of vigor, supply crate. supply crate= infinite shop restock, limited edition cloak= max hit you can take = 10% of your max hp, regen = regen obv, wallet of vigor you can spend HP instead of coins. limited edition cloak stacks with wallet of vigor, that 200 coin item? take 200 damage, your max hp is 100 from the fall cloak? take 10 damage. then regen back the HP you lost. the supply crate makes it so you can do this infinitely, get any relics you want, any (non-enhanced) spell you want, either 3 items and a cloak, or 4 items (theres a cursed item that gives regen for max HP). pair this with the deal room (I dunno what its called the curse room?) where you can trade in relics for items = infinite coins (you can buy tokens to force a spawn, where you can then trade in these coins with the banker (deal room as well), for unlimited (up to 999 since that's max, unless it was changed since I last played) gems. which can then be spent on whatever you want. note to unlock most of these items I think you have to beat the game (like with fall) or spam buy items from the relic shop in the town. (I didn't find most of them for sale until I had bought ~60-80 relics not sure if that was a game thing or just me being unlucky.)
If there is any game I want him to break it’s this.
Check out The Racoon, did a lot of funny combos that... broke things a bit

Same hey only difference is they can't be stunned they still take the same amount of damage
@@thatguy9490 oh i thought they take more damage too, mb
Easier even to understand it's that is a 3 hit combo, just wait for them to stop, get close and combo the skin out of them.
when they stop and are outlined they don't move for a second or two and can be easily combed, no DR thankfully.

And I suggest when you first start the game, use one of the chaos arcana, they are really good.
@@_AniWatch You only get Chaos Arcana spells after you beat the game though.
When you are fighting bosses, you should keep in mind to only try and attack when they have no yellow outline, no yellow outline means they can be stunned by *any* attack and their damage resistance is increased.
you can "transmute" items at the shop (the one before you go into stages) by teleporting back your "home" and going back and the shop items change ;)
Before entering the dungeon there is a girl with a chest. Give her 20 chaos gem and she will give you 200 gold
Quick example is slow but powerful attacks with spells that increase attack speed.
ayyy I love this game
edit: couple of small tips if you want em
elemental resistances and weaknesses are a thing
minibosses are harder the more enemies you leave on the floor
make use of your basic attack it's surprisingly strong and doesn't have much of a cooldown
for bosses you mainly want to just dodge until they stop glowing then attack them until stun wears off and repeat
each subsequent boss adds 1 extra attack between stun windows
your dash has s so use that
melee critical build with crit heals is easy mode
Pro tip: the lady outside if the entrance to the dungeon sells gold for chaos emeralds. So you can start with a lot more gold :)
This was awesome! keep up this series ploz!
Also if u have spare time, pehaps try Risk of Rain? super fun to break, you can get rockets spewing everywhere AND it's infinitely grindable!
This is the first time I have seen someone not buy a curse.
here's a tip that might be seen as scummy, if you have a big boss that you find yourself having the most trouble with, try to get a run with that boss being the first one you fight because the bosses get harder as you move on, they will also get new moves if you fight them as the second or the third boss.
Wizards are scary. Fire is hot
A couple of tips causes the game has a really bad tutorial
kiteing works but the most optimal strategy is comboing, you want to hit enemies with a combination of spells to put them in a stun lock so they cant attack you while you kill them
Bosses have a yellow outline, when they have it they cannot be put into stun lock so focus on avoiding attacks, after they finish their attack the yellow outline disappears for a little while, when that happens you want to go in and unleash your combo
Just gotta learn when the stun time is for the bosses. 3 attacks on your first major boss. 4 on the second. 5 on the third and just wait for the space attack for the final boss. The mini bosses you can stun after each of their attacks.
“Of course we’re picking red, blue sucks”
Me who’s favorite color is blue: “how DARE You.”
Would be cool to see more of this one!
Wizard of Legend is one of my favorite games to play. I've spent countless hours creating and trying new challenges. I really hope you enjoy the game DangerouslyFunny because I would love to see more of it.
DF: I think this is a game of patience
Me: he’s going to die a lot thinking that
You also have a super, on your q. If you get a big combo you charge a bar and when it's full your q becomes way better and basically kills anything
I’ve been waiting for him to play this game! I’ve beaten this a lot of times and it’s still hard you die for many times if you’re not focused but it was still fun!!
been waiting for a gamplay of this game
Love this game! Took me a while to be decent enough to finish it and once you get that final boss reward, things should be easier!
Enter the Gungeon, Streets of Rogue, Slay the Spire...
So many games he could beat and abuse.
I looooved this game. Final boss was crazy.
glad Wizard of Legend is getting some love
"Trapped in with a bunch of idiots" Bruh that is literally just school in a single sentence.
Quality game for those people who actually have some skills. I like it. I'm terrible at it, but at least you're enjoying it.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I love this game😃
The council members scale, first one does 3 attacks before you can hit them, then 4, then 5.
Also dashing is your best friend and you should do it all the time
I hope I love this as much as undermine
Poor man. He hasn’t begun to understand the pain here. Note- clearing the dungeon before gives the floor boss less health. When fighting bosses when their surrounded by yellow means you cant combo them. When they finish their attacks they get stunned then you can combo them.
So glad you finally tried this game out. Was a great accidental find for me.
Hey DF we all love your content but man please take a break when you need it ! Dont work yourself up too much. We support you forever
I play this game a lot and it's a lot of fun to break you should do more of these
I would love to see you play either hades or enter the gungeon! They both seem like your style of game and I think you would enjoy them.
