I agree that legends was mid, but i honestly think that dungeons wasnt too bad, for what it was it is pretty good. Wish the DLC's were free since microsoft doesnt need more cash, but besides from that there are updates occasionally
I actually just went back and played both Minecraft Story Modes and aside from the graphical bugs that would happen every now and then it was for what it’s worth a good spinoff. If you look at it as a story being told through the use of MC it works. Though I will say in the second season of the first it felt rushed and thrown together at first then became coherent towards the end. While the second one had a good start it just turned into a mess. Legends you are 100% right in a way because as soon as I got creepers I just spammed them and would over run every outpost super fast what limited me was not having enough resources at times. Dungeons was also great in my opinion just needed constant content and a new story after you beat it with all dlc. I did a bit of the tower but it wasn’t going to sustain the game for long. If they worked on making a new villain and made the grind not that bad it would have possibly lived for longer. But we are here now with a great potential game stamped out and left in the dust.
Here is my general list of why I dislike every Minecraft spinoff. Minecraft story mode: Not a bad game but nothing notable about it, the story was decent and the dialogue was decent, but there is little to no actually gameplay. Minecraft dungeons: Really cool concept, but being forced to either swap weapons constantly or grind like hell to get a specific weapon of the required power is just annoying and stupid. Minecraft legends: I honestly don't think I have seen a single person play this one, its boring and promises way to much for what you're actually getting.
I honestly think if Minecraft Dungeosm came out with all its DLC as a full 60 game like you can buy it now, it would have been a lot more successful. Especially after all the changes they have made to the game besides the DLC additions.
I think the real reason it doesn’t work is because Minecraft is supposed to be creative You’re supposed to build stuff and not have any objectives or you make your own objectives and I think forcing an objective onto the player makes it suck because with Minecraft people are used to making up their own stuff
Congrats, I am probably one of 10 people in the entire world who's only version of Minecraft is on the Wii U, its not as bad as you would think honestly.
As a kid I had so many different versions of mine craft and the one I chose to use out of all of them was the Wii U version. I actually prefer the Wii U to the switch.
What will be the next spin off title? Minecraft Heroes!!! A side scrolling platform slasher where you can only use sword, ax, mace, bow, crossbow, and scythe. The worlds will be planes, forest, tigers, mountains, snow, desert, Badlands, Cave, jungle, nether, and end.
you should look into all of the different minecraft editions / games. there's a lot and it's really interesting! like, did yall know theres a switch version of minecraft?
Personally, I’m a really big fan of Minecraft dungeons Minecraft story mode is all right and I have yet to played Minecraft legends and I did not know about Minecraft or when it came out so goodbye Minecraft earth

Imagine Minecraft spinoff based on games like warcraft Like factions based on the game, villagers and builders, illagers, undead and the nether all are playable But given what they did with legends Bet will not have one those because of lore, and Mojang will not make something fun play against other friends (But imagine using creepers has your army tho)
Also I genuinely love the Minecraft enemy desings of all spin offs, to bad they don't come to main game Like furnace golem from Minecraft earth is genuinely my favorite thing in this "series" So potencial of war or even a rpg is possible
Minecraft dungeons is fairly enjoyable, but I agree with your rating. Minecraft legends I would of goven a two. Finny enough though Minecraft Legends only lasted a year before being discontinued. It gets stale so fast. A lot of these spin offs had big plans. Earth was supposed to be a worldwide Minecraft server but couldn't deliver due to moderation concerns. Dungeons is a bit better with DLC and is fairly good turn your brain lff game. Legends had DLC that expanded greatly on the orignal concept. Honestly the same problem with main Minecraft, they under develop. They've gotten better, but from the mob vote mobs to some of the creatures, they're always missing something. They're way too scared to take risks and so they just made everyone mad. It's sad tbh. Not the developers fault, more management fault.
Dude Dungeons is top one of the top teir Dungeon Crawlers, and Story Mode Is Epic Also holy crap dude you missed alot of Telltale games if you think its the worst lol
I've mentioned that my experience with Telltale is limited, but it's definitely the worst written of the ones I've played by far. Also, which dungeon crawlers have you played? Minecraft Dungeons is one of the most middle-of-the-road dungeon crawlers ever.
Minicraft is in an interesting position because I don't really know whether to count it as an official spinoff since it was just a Game Jam project that Notch whipped up. It feels more *inspired* by Minecraft rather than taking its ideas and spinning it off, so I didn't really include it.
@@Bagubuns also the game has a higher max render distance, cross play, easier and a bunch of other changes. but it has more bugs compared to java. personally I just recommend playing one or the other depending on the situation
I didn’t agree with you at one specific moment and that must mean your whole video is invalid because I chose to count your inaccuracies as your thesis
Diablo is a classic game series from 1997 that pretty much defined what a Dungeon Crawler/Action RPG is supposed to be. The main trilogy still holds up as some of the greatest games of all time but unfortunately Blizzard dropped the ball on Diablo 4 but the series has aged pretty well, so I recommend you check it out.

For Earth it also released in pandemic so the thing is the game was rigged from the start
i miss minecraft earth.
Dude Dungeons is top one of the top teir Dungeon Crawlers, and Story Mode Is Epic
Also holy crap dude you missed alot of Telltale games if you think its the worst lol
I've mentioned that my experience with Telltale is limited, but it's definitely the worst written of the ones I've played by far. Also, which dungeon crawlers have you played? Minecraft Dungeons is one of the most middle-of-the-road dungeon crawlers ever.
Answer: because no one asked for a spinoff game.
My school used Minecraft Code
You know the Wii u version joke? That's me
Where is mini craft?
Minicraft is in an interesting position because I don't really know whether to count it as an official spinoff since it was just a Game Jam project that Notch whipped up. It feels more *inspired* by Minecraft rather than taking its ideas and spinning it off, so I didn't really include it.
@@Bagubuns well it’s made by notch but I guss
Bedrock comes with java you literally could have played it for free
Damn I didn't know that
@@Bagubuns also the game has a higher max render distance, cross play, easier and a bunch of other changes. but it has more bugs compared to java. personally I just recommend playing one or the other depending on the situation
Yup, just checked it out and can confirm that I am an idiot for not finding out about this. Thank you for this information!
I didn’t agree with you at one specific moment and that must mean your whole video is invalid because I chose to count your inaccuracies as your thesis
Dungeons was good
I enjoyed the video, but what is diablo?? I haven't heard of it in 7 years of watching youtube.
Bro shut up. Minecraft Wii U is better than the crap coming out of Java and Bedrock
Minecraft spinoffs fell off hard
