Kavithalaya Krishnan sir, when was the last time you watched and savoured the immortal&matchless Nadigar Thilagam's
"அடியே... நேற்றுப்பிறந்தவள் நீயே நேரம் தெரிந்து வந்தாயே"(என் தம்பி) wherein he walks the un-ostentatious BUT stupendously self-assured stylish walk of a gererationally rich
multi-billionaire (especially towards the close of the song!)?!?
Suggestion: TFMLOVER1983 video of this song that has the fabulous vocal mock-teasing of the hero and the heroine's lilting response - which ends the song - that was in the 78 rpm records but sadly edited out in the fim!
As regards KB sir, his most accomplished works were
* "Punnagai"(1971) - landmark roles for and performances by Muthuraman sir,
MRR Vaasu sir, and S.V. Ramdoss sir...!!!
It was KB sir who spotted the Blue Jager in MRR Vaasu sir and showcased it suitably in 'பூவா தலையா', "புன்னகை" and " காவியத்தலைவி"!
* "Arangaetram"(1973) - stellar performances by PramiLa madam,
S.V Subbiah sir and M.N.Rajam madam
* "Manmadha Leelai"(1976) - magnum opus ....except for the pseudo-moralising
* " AvargaL"(1977) - KB sir should have signed off with this fitting master work AND should have shifted lanes to other equally extraordinary creative idioms like Painting, Sculpture, Literature for a finer, higher wattage limelight !
