    This was going to be about Brad Johnson and his career but that was hardly highlighted in this. I played against him at AFL level and what I admire most is at a junior level he was not the best in the business but he made himself the best at AFL level and he deserves every credit given to him

      yes, Scott WEst and Brad Johnson, 2 of the most underrated players in afl/vfl history. without a doubt. wasnt west 7 times best and fairest and nearly won 2 brownlows? yet noone ever speaks about him , eh?

  • @rhettpeter83

    He was phenomenal. Miss him terribly. Really glad that I lived in the right lifetime to see him play. People forget how good he was, and that’s understandable with all the stars of the modern era taking the spotlight, but god, thanks for this due recognition of a legend of the game.

    At 185cm, Ablett senior is clearly considered midsized. No doubt he is the best!

  • @54footscray
    @54footscray 4 года назад +5

    Definitely underrated but not the best. One game that comes to mind was when Johsnon kicked 8 on Scarlett with Geelong at the peak of their powers. Terrific mark for a small man.

      six foot. solid as a tank was Johnson. small man? well not the largest, but hardly a midget in the tony liberatore category..

      How appropriate an overrated mark was taken over an overrated player.

      Oh he stretched his back, mark of the century!

    Out of curiosity where do we class D Martin? Is he a forward or a mid ?

  • @peterjackson3805
    @peterjackson3805 2 года назад

    Is he the guy that the little guy from Essendon with red hair took mark of the century ? I think the guys names was morecroft and he was on this guy’s shoulders for almost the whole game he went that high. In my opinion Brad Johnson will only be remembered for having one of the best marks of the century taken on him by a guy half his size.

    Stevie J, Chapman, akermanis, Nathan brown. Depends how you’re gonna compare them and their roles really. I’d rate Milne as a small forward like betts. Charlie Cameron is on his way to being a powerhouse medium forward.

    Ironically, material like this further highlights how underrated he is. Any chance of Lloyd not being completely derailed and overspoken, or was an intention due to some rather critical thinking?
    Regardless, could've really touched on something special here, considering the Dog's current positive media disposition. Brad Johnson was The Bulldog
