It's a tough call between Jimmy Toumpas and Cale Morton.
Luke Tapscott for me
Morton for mine.
You forgot about the great Alistair Nicholson
Surely Jamie Shanahan is in the conversation
lol.
Nathan jones didn't even get mentioned for all the hard work in the terrible era for melbourne
yep, agree!!!
Average player in a woeful side.
Ron Barassi won 6 premierships for Melbourne is there even a debate if he’s better than all those other spuds
Agreed, think it’s Barassi, then Flower, then Stynes/Neitz 👍
@@Josh82420Throw Allan La Fontaine in there too
Ask the premiership players of the 50’s and they will tell you Stuart Spencer was the Rolls Royce. He left after 1956 and cost himself a statue at the MCG.
STOP calling it the “Covid” era cup.
Unlike 2020, the season was a FULL season and every team was tested and it was a true of the survival of the fittest and Melbourne came out on top. You don’t fluke premierships.
Damian Hardwick even argued 2020 was his most satisfying premiership such were the challenges.
Gotta stop denigrating what Melbourne did in 2021 and Melbourne were the only side to finish in the top 4 consecutively from 2021 to 2023 in spite of going out in straight sets.
This Melbourne team won the flag and backed it up in terms of consistency. Respect and credit where credit is due would be appreciated..
*flag
No fans in the grounds, no pressure. 😂 ✳️ hence why post covid they are struggling
@@MrWhitmen1981you’re right that’s why the gf was played in a sold out Perth stadium 👍 maybe if old mate Dan loosened Victoria up it wouldn’t have been a problem 🤓
Covid cup mate, wasn’t won at the MCG so couldn’t give a rats tossbag about those years, the game was a farce.
Allen Jackovich, David Schwarz, Jeff farmer
I must’ve seen Buckanara after siren goal against Melbourne 1000 times along with the picture of John Northey pointing at Jimmy Stynes. But until five minutes ago I’ve never seen the passage of play that led to this all happening. How did Simon Eishold manage to dodge that blame bullet all this time
Melbourne supporters haven't forgotten.
He wasn't the only one.
They kicked 6pts in the last qtr.
Nothing's changed.
Robbie Flower for me never seen a footballer make the game look so easy. He was just so smooth amd silky made everything look simple and had textbook skills. Id say hes the best wingman to play the game and the best Demon also.
Brodie Grundy probably 😂❤
Robbie Flower in the last 50 years. Ron Barassi before that.
agree!
Exactly
Hard one, never ever seen such a consistent player as in Jim Stynes, every week, as a kid growing up in the 50s and 60s R Barrassi's name was mentioned every Saturday evening, 6 flags as a player 4 as a coach.....has to be number 1.
Damo was ticked at TJ for interrupting his Barrassi video
What about Norm Smith, player and coach.
Grundy.
has to be Daisy Pearce
😂😂😂
Barassi, Flower, Gawn, Neitz, Stynes and Jakovich are all great Demons. ❤️💙😈❤️💙😈❤️💙😈❤️💙😈❤️💙😈❤️💙😈 Even Garry Lyon he was a great Demon, but he wasn't tough after he broke his leg and was carried on the stretcher in agony.
Jim Stynes followed by Robbie Flower. No arguments will be entered into.
Todd Viney
It's gotta be Robbie Flower. Nick Daicos.....got nothin' on Robert Flower!
Gary Lyon is not in top 20 best Demons of all time
Robbie Flower or Ron Barassi
Back in the day the Dees came out to play at Morwell for a warm up ..( with Richmond I think) ... The Dees won and we all ran out on the ground at the final siren .. Jackovich told everyone to fk off .. devastated.. I was leaving the ground and David Neitz said to me "hey how ya going young fella" .. He signed the flag I was holding and made me feel awesome.. Absolute legend of a player and man ..Carn the Dees🔥😈
The most valuable sports team in australia is the matildas with $25 million valuation
Meanwhile the least valuable Team in Major League Soccer (MLS) is Colorado Rapids with $420 million valuation.
America #1 BABYYY!!!🎉🎉🎉
Super Shane Woewodin
Paul Wheatley
Jim Stynes I feel is majorly slept on these days. It's sad.
Ron Barassi then there’s a huge gap at second
1. Ron Barassi 2. Norm Smith
What about no mention of Barassi’s Carlton premierships including the legendary 1970 GF.
Petracca over Gawn anyday!
Garry Lyon hands down. Champion player and and even better bloke
The lunch cutter. Good choice.
Wouldn't be Billy's pick 😂😂😂
I can't go pass Gazza on the stretcher
Gotta be Garry's burner account.
Be a good celebrity boxing match for charity Brownless v Lyon, both heavy weight class
