Ask the premiership players of the 50’s and they will tell you Stuart Spencer was the Rolls Royce. He left after 1956 and cost himself a statue at the MCG.

STOP calling it the “Covid” era cup.
Unlike 2020, the season was a FULL season and every team was tested and it was a true of the survival of the fittest and Melbourne came out on top. You don’t fluke premierships.
Damian Hardwick even argued 2020 was his most satisfying premiership such were the challenges.
Gotta stop denigrating what Melbourne did in 2021 and Melbourne were the only side to finish in the top 4 consecutively from 2021 to 2023 in spite of going out in straight sets.
This Melbourne team won the flag and backed it up in terms of consistency. Respect and credit where credit is due would be appreciated..

Back in the day the Dees came out to play at Morwell for a warm up ..( with Richmond I think) ... The Dees won and we all ran out on the ground at the final siren .. Jackovich told everyone to fk off .. devastated.. I was leaving the ground and David Neitz said to me "hey how ya going young fella" .. He signed the flag I was holding and made me feel awesome.. Absolute legend of a player and man ..Carn the Dees🔥😈

I must’ve seen Buckanara after siren goal against Melbourne 1000 times along with the picture of John Northey pointing at Jimmy Stynes. But until five minutes ago I’ve never seen the passage of play that led to this all happening. How did Simon Eishold manage to dodge that blame bullet all this time

Hard one, never ever seen such a consistent player as in Jim Stynes, every week, as a kid growing up in the 50s and 60s R Barrassi's name was mentioned every Saturday evening, 6 flags as a player 4 as a coach.....has to be number 1.
