    I accidently used some powered sugar, mistaking for the corn starch...butthat turned out so GOOD..and I made it again with a blue oyster that I grew..this is so AWESOME...this dish is amazingly yummy, lite...you could use your salad spinner to get some of the extra fried oil off of them...how do they get so crunchy? my goodness....mushroom chips thin and crispy..palang panola dipping sauce is like american cucumber / sugar salad..sooo yummy.

    thanks for sharing can I use dry oyster mushroom if fresh is not available will procedure be same what about fresh button mushroom can I make chicharon also this is easily available in market

    Do you need to blanch the mushroom or just wash? I tried to cook but its a bit bitter. Thanks

    Hello po. Paano po siya tatagal katulad ng chicharong baboy, yung crispy pa din po.. Kasi gumagawa na ko nito dati, pag matagal na lumalambot na siya. Thanks po.

      Hi po, yung mga na ka repack po na mushroom chicharon sa market usually nag uundergo na po yun sa dehydration process using special equipment, yung iba po may "de-oil" na tinatawag tapos binebake po ung mga mushroom. If you want you can try to bake it sa oven to dehydrate 😊

      Hi po, sa oven po ipapa dehydrate lang po sya, pero maluluto na rin po yung mushroom sa procedure, ung pagkaluto nya is mawawala po yung moisture. Pag dry up na po yung mushroom at mapalamig, pwede nyo na po I breading and deep fry 😊

    Do the mushrooms have to be dehydrated? I made some and they weren't crunchy at all. They were soft like chicken nuggets LOL!

      Hi there! Texture should be crunchy to soft like deep fried chicken skin. 😊 It also depends on the thickness of the mushrooms, I've used fresh mushrooms for this recipe.

    What does this have to do with chicharrone? Do you know what chicharrone is or did you just decide to use a random word?

      Look at the spelling, it may vary from country to country, which country are you from? Here in Philippines, Chicharon means skin crackling either from pork skin or chicken skin. So this is my version using mushroom
