He knew it was all BS. Makes you wonder why he didn't want a Gryphon Reborn, why he didn't try for it himself. Maybe he wanted to limit the cult's power from the inside.
Either that, or he had a similar idea to Lazarus and wanted to maintain a leadership role in a gang of 9 wealthy and powerful men, just wanted to make sure they never had to do the Gryphon thing.
Another sick track. I think it really captures how grand these lunatics think they are. The part where the strings begin to discord is great, it feels like the insidiousness of the conspiracy that's hiding within the member's surfaces for just a moment.
I normally don't get spooked when playing these murder mystery games, but when the music started to shift into that ominous setting while seeing a corpse's legs sticking out in the background as everyone else is celebrating on the other side of the island, I legitimately got chills. It started to make me question what I was getting into and did I really wanna go further.
This was the real turning point for the game for me, specifically the slowing and then the breaking down of the track around the two minute mark. Honestly had to sit up in my chair and think 'just what is HAPPENING here.' Really nailed that 'spiralling down' feeling that the narrative was taking.
When I first saw this level I heard a happy seashanty and saw friendly faces in front of a lighthouse. "Ah nice, instead of murder and death a positive atmosphere for a change! They are crowning their friend! How nice!" I thought. Then, about the time the music changed, I noticed the 'Rules' and 'History' document and saw some legs with boots sticking from behind the lighthouse ....
This scene hits different when you realize that Lazarus/REDACTED was never invested in or believed the society’s whole deal, and only joined them for the power they could offer HIM. He manipulated and conned their entire order and not one of them ever realized they were only ever a means to an end for him
It must have felt so cool to have those 2 moments in the chapter & music to sync.. When first playing through the scenario I knew that I wanted to convey that discovery behind the lighthouse.. so happy the way it turned out 🖤
This is my favourite track in the game, people have already commented on the brilliance of the sinister distortion 2 minutes in but I also love the guitar at about 4:30. To me it feels pensive and uncertain, like it's worried about what schemes these fiends have in store.
Really appreciate you pointing out that part too! I was greatly influenced by OSTs like Diablo and Gothic, and really hope to add more acoustical pieces to my compositions in years to come.. Thank you for the kind words!
I wish there was a harmonious version as well because the first 1:30 minutes are so incredibly beautiful. The brilliance of this track and the poetic discordance that seeps in is hard to overstate. So don't take this to mean there's anything wrong with what's here already.
Man, I gotta tell ya, I really took my time on this stage because of the song; Those strings really stuck with me. Easily my favorite track of the game. Now I just need a Doom or Folk Metal version of this lol
Amazing track. It really hit the right tone with the atmosphere of where the story was at and was headed, super creepy and mysterious. Masterful work! May the Gryphon awaken ;)
Thank you so very much.. so many wonderful comments here, much appreciation from my end 🙏🙏 Be sure to check out both DLCs soundtracks if you get around to it :) ❤️ Makes me extremely happy knowing players resonated with my soundtrack vision for the game.. thank you!
Hi Kyle! congrats for your work that's amazing. This track is my fav and i had a question about it, where you inspired by the work of Jean Yves le pape? He was playing the uillean pipe with a lot of talent and passion :) if not i would love to know your inspiration on this one! Hope you have nice day~
Hey there! My apologies for the delayed response, I have been overwhelmed with work, and soon I'll be posting some really cool music here 🔥🔥 Thank you for sending such a beautiful reference of Jean Yves, really loved the music there, and haven't heard of him before. I wasn't inspired by a particular artist when working on this track, but rather the location and scenario itself. I am very much drawn to Lighthouses in general, and travelled many times to Portland, Maine and Acadia National Park that have many of those there, so there is this big sentimental / nostalgic factor when writing music there. Also, the events that happened in this scenario were definitely a huge inspiration, I remember playing through the level myself and getting this very strange sense of uneasiness as you are in a beautiful location, but something very disturbing is happening. So I wanted to convey that with the track as well :) There was actually another track I originally composed here which was way more dark and strange, but we decided to go with something in between "light" and "darkness" at the end. As for the Celtic influence on the track - it felt natural to me to use elements from that genre of music on this track. It was a big part of "Wine & Cards" track, and I felt that it deserved another segment in the game as well. Especially as there are not so many "light" tracks on the soundtrack, it made "Crowning Celebration" and "Wine & Cards" stand out greatly from the rest :)
@@KyleMisko amazing! Congrats again that's really interesting to read and to listen to 👏 I see the feeling 'between light and darkness' that's crystal clear!
I just played this whole game and the two additions with my brother and this is my personal favorite song from the soundtrack. It's catchy and haunting when the chords change suddenly like the whole song is falling apart. The tune is really familiar, is it a traditional Irish song? Does anyone have a title?
honestly loved how Angus McBain shat on all the previous false Gryphons like the most annoying "um actually" guy at a party
He was probably the only sane man *at* the party by that point lol

@@alchemistendrew8865 Either way, at least he didn't believe in that bit. It seems like the others were fully on board.

Best track in the game IMO! Its so great that it starts with the catchy shantyesque melody before slowly distorting.

maybe angus did but let say he fall short to stop him
@@mintmaddie3963 ...okay that gave me a good laugh.
Finding the body right as the music became discordant really cemented this as one of my favorite tracks. Fantastic work with the soundtrack!

This one right here is a real banger, been listening for a while now

갈 수록 음악이 기괴하게 뒤틀리는 게 너무 좋아요.
Любимый ост из всей игры, крайне атмосферный

this one blew my fucking socks off
this was such a "things are in motion" point in the game
My absolute favourite of the whole game, this is sooo beautiful.
Thank you! This was the last track I composed for the base game, so it definitely has a special place in my heart too!
One thing I still like about this track is that you think you've heard all of it by 4:10, and then the most beautiful part starts.
Amazing song, favorite on the soundtrack
my favorite!

Thanks for the great soundtrack. This track in particular really molding my love for the game
Loved this game, loved the soundtrack. I can't wait to see what you do next.
love the trad irish music
Pretty sure it's meant to be Scottish

There's NO REASON this track in particular had to go so hard
do you plan to sell music sheets ? i really love the celtic music of your songs and i would love to play it on my flute !
I just heard a trad band play this live. Is this a traditional Irish song?
My girlfriend thinks it's The Irish Washerwoman. May be a slowed/modified version of that, but I have no ear for this kind of thing and can't tell.
@@Steve_Everyman It doesn't quite sound the same to me, but thanks for replying!
I’ve heard it’s a mix of ‘The Kesh Jig’ and ‘Banish Misfortune’
