The singer and rapper delivered a lengthy set of career-spanning tracks at his packed Toronto concert. “[The fans] get to experience the art, feel it, see it, breathe it,” @RoyWoods tells CBC Music ahead of his packed concert at Toronto’s History. In a sparkly top, matching pants and a single bedazzled glove, the singer and rapper shimmered under the lights as he delivered a dynamic, confident performance. His 2015 hit, “Get You Good” was a crowd favourite, as the audience belted out every lyric. “Words don’t describe how good this feels,” he told the crowd after hugging a fan wearing a glove identical to his. His setlist was packed, with a mix of early sensual favourites such as “Instinct,” and “Gwan Big Up Yourself,” as well as vibrant new tracks from his 2023 album Mixed Emotions. He danced along the barricade close to the fans, whose enthusiasm was palpable as they beamed at him and filmed his every move.
