Got my 24 Mazda CX 30 Select 2 weeks ago, the 0% APR was too tempting. I actually love the dial, the 2 quick buttons for music and navigation are great. I kinda love how simple and easy-to-use the infotainment system is. Visibility was an issue initially, but I get used to it. Fuel efficiencty is not great but not too bad either, a hybrid version of this would be amazing though.
I’ve had my 2015 Mazda 3 for 7 years and I love the command wheel. At this point it has become second nature and I don’t use or even need to look at the touch screen. Last week I drove my mother’s Dodge Dart Turbo and the entire week I found my right hand always searching for infotainment knobs before I’d realize I had to reach forward and actually look at the screen.
I have the 2024 CX-30 Turbo PP in Soul Red. I use 93 octane, and for the 7,000 miles that I have put on it so far, I am averaging 25-28 mpg combined highway and city. On a 4 hour highway drive to Miami, I got 31 mpg. No complaints at all! It is so much fun to drive and very luxurious. I have owned 2 Miata's over the years, and this is as much fun to drive and a lot easier to get in and out of.😁
All great here , just to straighten out your call for being stuck with a dial , you are incorrect as the dial is the big reason it is a superb entertainment system on Mazdas. Yes , vented seats would be nice !
I LOVE the rotary dial. I got used to it on my 2018 Mazda 3 grand touring model. I love that I don't have to reach up to touch the screen and I can't stand finger prints all over the screens in other people's cars so keeping it nice and shiny in my car is the best! It works perfectly with Android Auto. The other thing that was a must for me when looking for a new car is that heads-up display. Why every new car on the face of the planet does not have this feature is beyond me. This is the 4th Mazda I've owned. My daughter inherited my 2018 Mazda 3 sedan (which I still love) and I shopped just about every brand to find the best value to performance to lux interior to overall awesomeness ratio and I landed right back at Mazda. I chose the S Premium over the turbo because I drive a ton and it gives me all the bells and whistles I want with better gas mileage. I still get the Zoom Zoom I need in my middle age without being tempted to gun it down every straight-away. I don't hate the thick plastic trim around the wheels but a thinner profile would be nice. The thing I like about the plastic around the wheels is NO RUST. Here is the mid-west that is the spot that has always started to rust first on cars. It happened on both my (and my wife's) 2004 Mazda 6 and Mazda 3.
I had a 2021 Turbo on lease. 3 years later I jumped on 2024 TPP with 0%APR for 36 Months and couldn't be happier. Tourqey little titan with white leather seats! Love Qi charger, power hatch release/close, and do not need a touch screen with finger prints :)
I have a 2015 Mazda 3 that I still love, but it’s closing in on 100K miles and I’m starting to think about what’s next. I would love to get the CX30 Turbo but I want ventilated seats. Come on Mazda- all turbo premium plus models should have heating and cooling for the seats!
Yes, love to see a Toyota hybrid power train. Several colleagues have the CX30 and love it but I personally find the belt line a wee bit out of scale to my eye (too high). If I can afford it, I will go CX50 in a year or 2.
They do have hybrid models outside the US, I think there's a hybrid awd mazda 3 but yeah idk my guess is those models are made overseas therefore there suseptible to hefty tariff and taxes for the tech
All of their cars except Mazda 3 sedan a CX-30 and CX-50 is still built in Japan which lowers production cost due to weaker yen. Good move for them to not shift all their production overseas.
The first Mazda hybrid is a CX-70 plug in priced in the 50s, or a non-hybrid with an inline 6 engine. The CX-50 is built in Alabama at the same factory as the Toyota Corolla Cross, and will eventually have Toyota hybrid parts as an option. Another option for getting Toyota design hybrid parts is a Ford Escape or Maverick.
I see you edited out the moment you had to encroach into the back seat 😊, Kirk, I am 5’11 and I had a lot of trouble not only getting into the back seat but the front as well! Even with the seat all the way back and lowered to the max, it is a tiny tiny tiny car , probably geared to slim people who are no taller than 5’8” at max. I have no clue how you are able to get in and seat 😮
I would love a Mazda hybrid but not Toyota’s. I don’t like Toyota’s Rav-4 eAWD that’s coupled to their hybrid engine. Mazda’s “Off Road” mode is surprisingly capable and I wouldn’t want that to be changed. I’d rather they develop their own.
Its supposed to help protect paint. Mazda uses practicality such as also not using touch interface screens because they become distracting and annoying and full of fingerprints@moeanthony9308
For sure the excess plastic cladding was totally unnecessary for such a top notch car. That, and then just do away with all the shiny black interior surfaces that are a dust magnet. Then just have a rear multi-link. There's a very unsatisfactory feeling of knowing it's a torsion beam you have.
Mazda, put the Corolla Cross hybrid system into the CX-30 already. It's made in the same joint factory as the CX-50 and the CX-50 already uses a CX-30 platform. Seems like a pretty feasible plan ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Black wheels on this car and any car look so awful. Hope this fad goes away soon. Mazda meeds to update this vehicle. Hybrids are a must these days for a modern automobile . Get with it Mazda !!!
I hate the large wheel well plastic, even if the changed its shape it might have looked better but just round and way to wide!! I thought of buying one but the look just doesn’t work, not even worth a test drive !!

They need to give this the cx5/ cx90 treatment and body color the black cladding on the signature trim...
And reduce the cladding’s ridiculous size!

Cladding isn’t always bad. This just needs to trim some of it. Way too thick around the wheels and such. It’s not an off roader.
