Appreciate the video really helped save time. If I can add some advice for reinstalling the bumper: make sure all the bumper cover tabs on the bottom lip are down. I had a tab fold up and could not for the life of me figure out why the bumper wouldn’t align.

Can show how to replace just the headlight bulb ? Do you know what bulb model is for 2018 IS 300 ?
It should just turn and pull out of the back of the housing. I can double check and make a video
If the light is not turning on can you replace the bulb of the drl or do you have to replace the entire thing?
The DRL is a row of LEDs and would all need replaced. Hopefully it’s something with the connection

What are the green, yellow and black wires from the OEM DRL cables?
I assume it’s the power
@@MTParadise i'm assuming the black is ground but what I'm trying to figure out if yellow or green is the power. Normally i see its red cable.
Do you have to remove the bumper just to replace the headlight bulbs?
The housings, yes but if you are just replacing the bulb itself, you should be able to access it from the back of the headlight housing

Does one light bulb work as both low and high beam? Or are they two bulbs?

I love the detail in this video.. If replacing a headlight on 2017 does it need to go to dealer for anything? Mine has moisture inside and it is causing a "headlight system fault" and the headlights are flickering. I assume the fault is causing problems with both the lights and the autoleveling system.. If you know if the lights don't need any calibration at the dealer then I'll try my luck on ebay for a new headlight!!
You shouldn’t need to go to the dealer at all. There are some on eBay that look to be pretty legit but you can just swap it out
I’m having the same issue, my DRLs are not working at all, checked all fuses. One of my lights has moisture inside and one of my high beams is out… I wonder if they are all wired in sequence somehow

@@flakksbuyselltrade Update on mine.. I had the light with moisture replaced and the computer for the light was full of water.. (bad design). Got the new computer but there was a lot of corrosion in the wiring harness (which is on back order..) so until I get a wiring harness now that DRL does not work.. I suspect from damage/corrosion in the connection between the old harness and the new computer.
Wha if I have to change my indicator light do I need to take the bumper out ?
To take the headlight out housing out to change the bulbs, yes the front bumper has to come off. I don’t think you can get to them if you leave it on

That’s really weird. I know other people who replaced their headlights and haven’t said anything about that. I can ask around and see if anyone has had that same issue

For replacing just one I would ask the parts department at the dealership for the exact oem light so they match or you could replace both so it insures they match
I replaced my headlight assembly on the passenger side and now my headlight system malfunction ⚠️ light is on but the headlights from what i can tell so far are working fine. any ideas?

If you replaced just one side, maybe they are slightly different or are getting different voltages

Well the front bumper covers the lower part of the headlight and the DRL is significantly easier to just take off the front bumper
