Pork, we buy at our grocery stores are 100% GMO corn fed and restrained to a 4x6 pen to stop movement. This produces more hog meat per pound of corn. But this practice is not healthy for the pig. When it comes to animals, I'm extremely soft-hearted, and I'm not a hunter, but I can imagine how much this farmer is losing with this hog "problem". A true understatement if I ever heard one. There's so many that they're running over them with the truck, but what's impresive as hell is as they're rolling through this bumpy-ass field, a couple of these guys are getting quite a few head shots, even after a poorly placed intial shot. Seems like they're doing it very humanely, or as much as possible. Damn, that's a lot of hogs.
i like this comment as an animal lover myself i see the problem with the hogs there is to many of them in not a hunter but i do know they are destroying everything and even native plants and animals they need there numbers lowerd and this is sadly the only way to do it
The feral hogs are incredibly nasty. They destroy anything in their way and their tusk tooth is very sharp. They won't hesitate to attack anyone that catches them off guard. They have no natural predator and so they multiply. The state should be handling this but they are too cheap and lazy.
When I lived in Idaho, there wasn't much of a feral hog problem if there was one at all, but there were millions of rock chucks (Marmots) everywhere. In the Spring when the farmers wheat shoots would star poking up from the ground, these rock chucks would eat them right to the ground. This, of course, ruins a crop of wheat. So, farmers love it when people show up at their door and ask if they can go take care of a few rock chucks for them. Ditto for ranchers whose land is infested with ground squirrels. They dig holes that their horses and cattle step in, breaking a leg, which means having to put down the animal. Or in one case I saw , a rancher had his irrigation lines completely clogged with drowned squirrels. It's the same here. If these hogs weren't hunted, then they would absolutely over run everything. In either case, poisoning them is not allowed as birds of prey eat them and they could get poisoned as well. The only other alternative really is to shoot them.
@ChrisIrwin They are cute for sure. Their little chirp gives them away though. I fire a 110 grain hollow point out of a .270 which sure does a number on them. Yeah it's a bit much but man do those rock chucks explode. The .270 is a great round. It's nothing more than necked down .30-'06. but a flat shooting round if there ever was one. The velocity is the same as a .223. Over 3000 feet per second...
@joyride9835 this is the XM214 Microgun which usually only goes up to 3k at the most. and that's because this is an even smaller version so it probably does less than that. more like 2k or 1.5k.

Your not a farmer but you eat the food the farmers harvest for you, if their crops and livestock die then you starve. It doesn’t have anything to do with how the farmers feel, they’re just trying to keep food on our tables and when there’s a feral disease ridden hog epidemic this is part of the job, these things reproduce like crazy 1 day there’s 10, the next week there will be 1000 and destroy everything and kill other animals
I’m a hunter and correct this isn’t hunting.. it is eradicating a pest.. they do this all the time and still there are this many feral hogs.. the rate at which they multiply is insane. Our farmers already have it hard enough and this is them protecting their crop and land.

They are genuinely that numerous. There's a reason they are strictly a kill on sight pest by many farmers. Along with legally too they are designated pretty much as a "exterminate them all" type animal. They are extremely destructive, and if you unfortunately get cornered or wind up too close to them extremely dangerous. The only other animals with this degree of needing to be culled on sight are feral cats in Australia, rabbits in Australia, and feral cats in Hawaii as well. Due to the cats being extremely destructive/invasive to the natural wildlife. The feral hogs in this case is largely due to how much sheer monetary damage they do to farmers crops, fields, and livelihoods.

here in france, farmers are su*cidal because the laws in some regions protects the «wildlife» allowing the hogs to proliferate and devastate cultures, hectares and hectares massacred, and they have 0 compensation, so yes, it's about self defense. all that to feed the vegans who will whine about hunters being 9000 hitlors.

Dude! Before you take a stand on something, do your research.
PS: some hunters in the Southern states have turned the hog problem into commercial meat business. He said he got 50 cents/lb. (didn't say whole or cleaned) But so many farmers just shoot them and drag them off onto the woods to rot.
I think as the recession and deflation cycle deepens, the wild hogs will provide a good wage for the unemployed. A hunter could easily harvest 1000lb/day using trap-hog-pens like those seen on RUclips videos.
Just a note. Wild hog meat is organic, a plus for the health conscious. Pork, we buy at our grocery stores are 100% GMO corn fed and restrained to a 4x6 pen to stop movement. This produces more hog meat per pound of corn. But this practice is not healthy for the pig.
So, this wild hog meat could be a good thing once the public officials OK it for commercial meat. Farmers will be able to add wild hog meat to sell and get back some of the damages the pig did to his crops.

Yep
The feral hogs are incredibly nasty. They destroy anything in their way and their tusk tooth is very sharp. They won't hesitate to attack anyone that catches them off guard. They have no natural predator and so they multiply. The state should be handling this but they are too cheap and lazy.
@@maddoxinc1642 but they taste so good
When I lived in Idaho, there wasn't much of a feral hog problem if there was one at all, but there were millions of rock chucks (Marmots) everywhere.
Over 3000 feet per second...

they ARE at war
They ARE at war. Wild hogs destroy significant portions of crops. It's pest control--just like rats.
I know it’ll be awesome I wonder if they’ll let ya sit shotgun
I probably think someone is renovating
Hey there! Sorry if is a stupid question, but what do you do with them after? Do they get incinerated or used for anything else like pet food??? We don't get severe hog problems in the UK like you poor fellas do across the pond so just wondering what happens after lol
From Katie, in England x
I am stunned at how many there are running around. It’s an infestation. Wow.
That's why Ted Nugent fought so hard and Congress to allow them to hunt them with helicopters as well yeah Ted Nugent and Pig man. Almost as aggressive as these guys you guys are awesome.
Putting the pic of the tire and tire size whenever one gets ran over is some dark humor 😭 lol
Far more humane than poison or traps. You deserve respect for putting in the extra time and money for this method. The rifle is much more efficient than the mini-gun. The mini-gun is what attracts views.
I'd have saved the mini gun for large groups, just stand back and shoot, two would have been better start at either end.
Well said.
Agreed. He burned through way too many rounds with minimal hit rates versus the efficiency of a rifle.
On another note, I’m amazed at the massive number of hogs in those fields.
Rifles are a more fun weapon if you have the skill
Wow! I have never seen an infestation quite that bad. Here in Texas they are bad but that may be the most concentrated amount I have ever seen in one area. Nice shooting!
I know! I'm fortunate to not see them that heavily infested!
Go up around Albany and Throckmorton, at night you can shine your headlights or spotlight and literally see hundreds in a large field, maybe not as bad as this video shows since I'm not sure what part of Texas they are in, but I used to hunt just north of Albany on the Clear Fork of the Brazos up there.
The only other animals in that part of Texas that come close to the feral hog population are skunks and turkeys.
Парни с полем вас . Великолепная работа .
Love the lightning in the background..adds to the rage !!
😂
I see no extreme measures here. I see a reasonable man using reasonable means to deal with an unreasonable problem
I'd say it's all within reason. lol
Well in Aus we consider this extreme but shit there are a lot of hogs.
PS Too many got away LOL
PPS FOR THE offended - hogs are baby hedgehogs so suck it
Very well stated!
The mini gun is kind of silly. It's an efficiency thing really. That was $1000s of dollars in ammo and the rifles probably more 3ffective.
he inst going to stop them
These blokes are mental!!! Great skill shooting from a moving vehicle to a moving target, looks easy, but it is not. As always, admirable show lads.
US military marksmanship there pal.
Maybe we can get congressmen and senators to take the place of the hogs
Oh yeah, if you have a feral hog problem in your country thays damaging your farms out there, it is best to get rid of them, cause these animals damage acres and crops worth thousands of dollars.
@@reprehensiblereptile187 Yep, over gunned and under trained.
@כַּפרִי Who cares if the pigs can't strike back? That's not the point they're f****** up the g****** fields!!! hello
Thanks to hunter for helping farmer against this pest . And thanks to all farmer who make our food cheap and affordable . Many2 thanks for both of u 🙂
Fr
yes. 100%
Ahh, you get it!
I've never been there, but from this video I know I love Texas!
I remember you guys in my prayers each morning. That your aim would be as clear as Brandon’s ineptitude. That your ammo would multiply like the loaves and fish. That the blood of the boars would flow like wine. Amen.
I love this 😂
Love it
I completely concur with this message 👍
🤣👍
Tony, I like the way you think!
The sheer number of them in such a small area tells you how bad this problem is down south....
My son lives in rural Corsicana Tx. and he has to bring his dogs inside at night so the hogs won't tear up his dog fencing and kill them.
Never lived a day in my life as a farmer and even I can understand what needs to be done when it comes to pests. I just didn't know you could have fun doing it like this.
Hahaha, right? Like they are taking care of those Hogs while having fun, like sign me up🤣
And yea, we all gotta understand that this has to be done, it’s either that or loosing money every year. It’s just everyone is so Godam sensitive. Like “Omg the pure rage and saddism
Man i wanna do this, it felt for a scond like when yorue in COD zombies, killing everything for fun!
It's not fun. Is killing a roach fun? No, it's necessary.
@@robertsalinas7444 um it’s not fun killing a roach tho….. using guns is fun
so much fun. You need to hold safety classes and vet people and charge them to do this. I'd pay. There has to be way to make money on this.
Here i thought we here in Australia had a massive feral pig problem, but this is next level. They are like rabbits. Id love to get over there and go on a hunt with you guys 🍻🇦🇺
And how is about humanity ?
@@Alex_Lutor fools like you cry about shit like this until you're starving. Grow the fuck up.
@@Alex_Lutor brooo look at the description hogs are native to Texas and the produce like flies
Lol
Однако, свинка Пеппа не одобряет.
If you seen the amount of damage they can do in one night you would definitely be surprised when they are finished after one night it looks like someone literally took a bulldozer and Dug everything up and when your livelihood depends on it There Are No Holds Barred
The size of the animals and the numbers is astounding.
Very fertile places, part of the USA.
Keep in mind, they replace natural habitats of those pigs.
With lead
@@heyhoe168 so u can eat well
@@heyhoe168 about that😅.... The wild hog species are invasive species that eat just about everything including small plants that maybe are nearly extinct. These guys are like the goldfish of the land. If you let one of these guys into land these guys will eat everything. Letting these guys live is basically lettIng them destroy an entire ecosystem. It's like goldfish in a lake. You'll basically see them eat everything including algea that the native species of said fresh water lake starve destroying the habitats of countless fish. Fun fact: feral swines or wild hogs are brought to america by Europeans as a food source. If you say this isn't true the search feral swines or wild hogs. This isn't their natural habitat. In fact they are invasive species of that habitat filled with non invasive natural fauna.
@@hohoho2926 Partially yes. But we are throwing away a lot of food and doing very questionable fuel ethanol. So ppl got a little too greedy on farmland expansion.
need me, one of them technicals with the brrrrrrrrrr machine gun 😂😂😂 thats crazy, loving the video
Wow, I know that Hogs are a big issue, but I'm just shocked by just how many there were in the video. Was the video set at multiple nights, or was it set at one night?
Coyotes are increasing in number!!
Imagine they turn around and see millions of hogs attacking them.... that would have been funny, like some zombie invasion. It could be movie.
This needs to be done daily. Hogs are out of control here in Texas.
Do you mean they're trying to survive or or they genuinely are out of control, like raping and murdering people ???
@@kfwilliams5773 We'd get along!!!!!!!
Yes just like the humans...
republicans are out of control in Texas lets go boys
nah TEXAS IS THE problem with the USA!!..... totally out of control!!
I love your videos, I think adding some brass catching attachment to the weapons would be something nice to add for environmental considerations.
They have zippers under them so you guys can dump the brass in the truck once it becomes full and sell or reload the spent casings afterwards.
and for money too tbh, it seems retarded to waste so much ammunition missing a hog close range with a minigun like tf
@@leopoldo3884that has got to be just for show, like just for the sake of the video. If they weren’t filming it, you know they wouldn’t waste so much ammo like that. However when those herds were grouped together into tight packs of 10-20, that’s when the minigun would have been awesome!
@@davidswanson5669 Can we get these boys some RPGs?
Yea, maybe you could use paper cartridges or muzzle-loaders like in the olden days….
environmental considerations? There's more lead in that dirt than Detroit tap water lol
Nothing more fitting than seeing the name Texas right after a brrrrt
Geez, unbelievable. We have a wild pig problem here in Australia as well. Good job getting rid of them all.
"How extreme could extreme measures be?"
I take my words back 😂
What for?not to appease idiots surely!
😂😂😂
.____. gringo de mi. Erda
the next step is to mount that thing in a helicopter with some thermal optics and buzz 'em from the air like an apache
@@smashlee6181 kinda funny you can legally buy miniguns and itll be way cheaper than the helicopter XD
These guys have some insane aim. Honestly the part at 4:23 was some sheer brutality, but i've heard that hogs are invasive (so this is pretty much just pest control)
Aim assist XD
They kill people too!
Yeah but let’s hope they weren’t like that for long
Exactly. You find Rats in your barn, you kill them. Doesn't matter how you do it, drown them, trap them or blow their guts out. Kill..Then!
