Wow that midriff is so small. Doesn't even look like an exaggerated hourglass figure, just a weirdly proportioned body.
I was thinking about getting one, but I might just get the Batpod and use the Soap Studios Selina instead.
Look at the bright side Victoria. If a figure brakes on filming you can actually prove to each company that it wasn't your fault and warn us of its fragility.Awesome Batpod though.
+NKourk I doubt that Medicom cares. I've emailed them in the past and they never responded.
You could have used floor polish to tighten the joint on the arm for the joker
I believe the mid-torso is upside down. try taking the figure apart and flip the mid-torso.
+esteban torres No it isn't. I got another one and they were the same.
Same thing happened to my bvs wonder woman. :( looks like they are not fixing the problem with their peg joints
I bought this awhile back, avoiding the negative reviews, and pretty much out of the box the arm broke off. I really hope the remake it as its a great looking figure.
I think there's a good chance Bandai might make one. They have Batman and the Joker coming later this year. That will probably be our best bet.
yeah its not a line i would be into. yeah i had a figure break when i was reviewing it...that video was never uploaded due to exessive cursing. the Batpod looks cool my HotToys Dark night one had a few problems and cost a fortune..have you reviewed the Mafex one yet?
+SI FI Haha, it's frustrating isn't it? I will be publishing the Batpod review within the next week or two. Thanks for watching!
Victoria's Cantina cheers.
Heat the hands with a hair dryer to swap them
The Play Arts one is better IMO
True that
+The Ethereal Knight The Play Arts one is incredible. I reviewed it a few years ago.
That is the problem with these high articulation figures they are so fragile, I have one lose of Buffy and the leg snapped off and I was fairly gentle with it but the head sculpt is spot on to Sarah M Gellar, I do have it on the card though, it is great all the poses they can do if you dont break a leg or a hand lol shame yours broke, you do great reviews, take care.
+Ian Bowden Thank you, Ian! I just got a replacement. I ain't even touching her hands!
I know exactly which Buffy figure you're talking about. I've bought several replacements that ended up having the same problem. Such a bummer as that was my favorite figure.
TypingComments Graduation day Buffy, I do prefer the ones with less articulation but they are all amazing :-)
Greatest thumbnail I've seen in my life
True that
+Matthew Brando Haha, thank you!
I had the same problem with the hands, plus the right arm was very loose at the bicep swivel and would come apart if rotated. I got a second one and it seems to be fine, but i will probably never try to change the hands on it. The old one is being kept for spare parts.
+Richard Bradshaw Good to know. Seems a lot of people have had issues with the hands. I ordered a second one as well. I don't think I'll ever replace the hands either! Thanks for watching.
I think the other hands are just for holding the goggles like on the pics on the back of the box and for use on the batpod, but i'm leaving the default hands on.
+Richard Bradshaw That makes sense. And yes, that's a wise decision!
Just got the Mafex Catwoman and Mafex Batpod for about 89 bucks, they where on clereance on BBTS, I say its a pretty good deal, and yeah, I get you, this figures are ridiculously fragile, SH Figuarts, Mafex, all of them cost more than 50 bucks each, and most of them break even if you have cotton candy hands. I was hesitant about getting Catwoman, but since she was in clereance, and this is the best 6 inch Catwoman figure out there, I went for it. But anyways, nice review! Love to see women collectors!
I've never broken a Figuarts. The earlier MAFEX have been very problematic though. Hopefully the MAFEX 2.0 Catwoman, Joker, and the new Bane don't have those issues. Thank you for watching!
Very good review!
+Steve McDaniel Thanks!
Nice review Victoria ;)
+Coelurosaurian Productions Thanks for watching!
I bought one for $17.00 and will just pose it it my display. can't afford the play arts.
The Play Arts is well worth it if you can find a way to swing it. Considering what you get the markup isn't all that much above MSRP. Even a used one with the box goes for about $40 before shipping, which is a very fair price.
MAFEX has been improving a bit as of late. I have Vader and nothing on it has broken. The head pops off somewhat easily, though.
+LedZeppelinZaku1 Hopefully they continue to improve. I've not bought any of their stuff outside the Dark Knight figures.
the waist is to thin if they up it to 10-15% it would look better. I'd use a pen drill ( its small hand drill u can find at hobby shops)to drill the peg in the broken arm and just pull out the other peg and replace them hands from a marvel legends figure i'd look under fodder in ebay you might be able finds something there that would work.
+teppest11 The aesthetics really need work. I'm fine with the head, but yes, she needs more meat! Way too unrealistic. I've already ordered another figure from Amazon. I'm not sure what I'll do wit this one... maybe keep it for spare parts.
looks nice ...the joints look a little funny especially around the shoulders.... but this company seems to be making a decent effort despite the heavy flaws I can say this Hasbro don't do this good on. they first try ...nice work
Hi-larious. Where is this figure now?
I still have the replacement. Just waiting on the updated version to release.
How tall exactly is the figure? Just 6 inch or just under 7 inch?
+Tydeus They are 6" scale, so about 6".
Victoria's Cantina
Yeah but "About 6 inch" isnt 6 inch. Apparently the DC Collectibles are 6 inch, but they're 6 1/2, 6.75" and 7. Mattel's line are 5.95 to 6 1/2 but they're all listed as just being 6 inch.
+Tydeus Most of these companies tend to round in order to simplify for the customer. I'm usually happy to check these sort of things when people ask nicely, but I would need to pull it from storage to measure.
Victoria's Cantina
Nah it's alright, I think they don't sell these figures any more anyway, although Entertainment Earth seem to be getting some this month. I was just curious is all, if you dont have it at hand I'll pass.
Thanks for buying it so I won't have to 😆
I hope Mafex has gotten better since this figure came out because I have Boba Fett preordered. At least the sculpt looks a million times better than this. If only Neca could do a version of Cat Woman, it would be so much better (and cheaper) than this.
+Occidental Martyr I actually just asked them on Twitter if they plan on doing more 7" figures from TDK Trilogy. They haven't responded yet.
hahahaaaa!!oops....yea see what I mean about the claws ...definitely need some improvements
+M.G.Villan They have a really long way to go. I just hope their upcoming releases are perfect, because at the prices these go for they shouldn't have these sorts of flaws.
+Victoria's Cantina agreed that's just what they need to do
Wow, that is bad QC on this figure. I collect figma and sh figuarts figures and never had any of my joints break. I have the play arts kai version of this catwoman and that one came with interchangable hair and faces.
+skabcat242 MAFEX has a long way to go it seems. I reviewed the Play Arts version a few years ago... such an awesome figure.
her hips look shifted over hah Her head doesn't look real it's like a toy. but the body costume looks well done.
Holy cow what a piece of crap. Now I know why it's going for only $22 on Amazon. Was gonna get one but now I'm hesitating...
Yeah, if you get it just be very, very gentle. I barely handle my replacement one at all.
EXCELLENT VIDEO BUT SADLY MAFEX QUALITY. THIS YEAR BANDAI S.H.FIGUARTS WILL RELEASE BATMAN, THE JOKER AND POSSIBLY THE BATPOD. CHECK IT OUT.ALSO I WILL RECOMEND YOU TOOLS FROM REVOLTECH IN ORDER TO C
CHANGE THE BALL JOINTS. PROBABLY THE BEST OPTION TO FIX THIS KIND OF FIGURES! ;-)
You rock girl. And you save me money 🙏
Good deal! The 2.0 is now out. I'll probably review it soon. Looks to be a lot better.
Victoria's Cantina awesome! Can't wait
As soon as I saw that opening, I knew something bad was about to go down! Man thats too bad and thats exactly what I dont like about the adult collectibles...they are often more fragile because the company assumes that they are not going to be handled by a child's rough hands, but rather the careful ones of a collector...but compound bad quality control and you get a lot of this. While these arent too terribly expensive, they certainly cost much more than something comparable from hasbro or mattel, which consistently have their own flaws, however durability is rarely one of them.
+etheangel2220 Yes, that's the thing with Hasbro or Mattel... you often get lazy paint jobs or sculpting inaccuracies, but the toys tend to be very durable. I can understand some fragility with items like this, but it shouldn't be THIS fragile. The pegs are simply too small and not as durable as they need to be to withstand a hand being removed and replaced. Heck, all I was doing was moving around when it broke... I wasn't even trying to remove it.
Really sucks about her hand. :(
Ok that hand situation is a complete mess. They need to do better than this.
+Snowmation Yes, they certainly do. I'd like to know how this figure got approved.
Such a disappointing figure. I'm sorry. She does look good in some places. I hope you can get a new one. Be careful with the new one, I wish they would make a Rachel Dawes in this line hopefully she wouldn't be as bad. I probably won't get this figure. Good review though,
+The101genco Very disappointing. I've already ordered a new one. I'll be sure to never remove the hands from it. :/ Thanks for watching, Zach.
I think her skin is too pale, so her face sclupt is not standout. And i agree with i her waist n torso is too small , out of proportion..
*sorry for typo*
+Enggar Baskara Not a very good figure. I suppose it's acceptable, but should have been beefed up just enough so that stuff didn't break so easily.
Hey Victoria
Could you do me a quick favor
Hahaha--you are to rough--hehe
+maddwoba Apparently :)
whoa....kind of spendy ...
Nossa que porcaria ,,,se loco ..destruiu a mão da boneca para trocar as.maos ...horrível ..tenho a play arts e bem melhor
