  • In March 2020 (two weeks before the lockdown), Architecture students from The Scott Sutherland School of Architecture in Aberdeen took a trip to Comrie Croft to complete a live build workshop. The trip was a four day, intensive design and build workshop; the first day was site investigation, the second was set aside for design. Presentations were held on the morning of the third day and the remainder of the time was allocated for building.
The project was for students to design additions to the 'Kata' camping pods which Comrie Croft have. The idea was to create useable outdoor kitchen areas for each kata. The limitations of the timescale meant that we built the working areas of the kitchen and we were due to return to finish the covering structures...but then lockdown struck!
Thanks to Comrie Croft for supplying the materials, a place to work and a great place to hold a residential trip. www.comriecroft...
