I did like the fine tuners on mine, much easier to manipulate than those on a Floyd. I used to get the strings close to in tune, and line up the tuning keys so they were all parallel to the headstock, then bring it to actual pitch. Looked great
Yes, the Wonderbar was a top-mount system that didn't require routing. They were originally distributed by Washburn. Ace Frehley used on when he was endorsing Washburn, but they were never very popular. I have a 1981 Les Paul FIrebrand "The Paul" Deluxe project I bought for fairly cheap a few years ago. It has a rough headstock repair, but seems solid and a marginal Pelhan Blue finish. Also has some sketchy pickup routes. My plan is to install black hardware, a Tele bridge pickup and a P-Rail neck pickup (since I have one). Should be fun to put together although I have a few projects ahead of it.
I tried to buy that Emerald ES-295. I found a post on the gear page where the guy who did the refin told all about the guitar. It was actually an ES-175 originally. Despite being almost the same guitar, there’s a big difference in price between the two these days. I told the seller but they didn’t believe it/care (not sure which) and weren’t willing to adjust the price accordingly. (For reference, there are clean 175s from that era that sell for the same price this was listed at, so a refin with replaced parts should have been worth much less)
With the 295 refinish did you mean maybe meant to say that refinish was suspect instead of subject. For that moded Junior on the back it looked as if some hole were plugged on it.
I was so confused, I thought you actually didn't know about the Menace. It was so out of character haha. I had the opportunity to buy one of these super cheap but I hated the look. Now I regret not buying it, it would have been worth it just for the novelty.
No one has ever dug deeper than 8 miles. Not sure how the definitively teach what is at the "core" besides water. Which is always level. In other words. Earth is level. Time to wake up bro.
That's a brass fist. Not knuckles, you twot. My uncle has the actual guitar with a brass knuckle inlay 😂. Two different concepts. When you research it, it actually says brass fist in the details.
That's not brass knuckles Trog, it's just a fist.
But is the inlay of a fist made of brass? 😂
Exactly
It's brass knuckles.
It's a brass fist, not knuckles
It’s a brass fist inlay..
The timing of this episode! A customer literally came into the store with a Menace and it was so cool!!! He just wanted to show it off 😂
Sometimes you gotta cruise the strip just to get some looks…
Love Wonderbars. Top mount. Don't de-tune while muting and the other 5 stay in tune when a string breaks.

I dig that "natural" custom. It's got a vibe.
Agreed! Doesn't get much cooler than that
Emerald City music they are in Seattle Washington. they usually have pretty fair deals.
Did you see that crack @3:41? Looks more than finish to me.
The pewdiepie brofist inlay gets me every time

11:39. Jar Jar guitar.
The SG menace has routes!
I was getting ready to make something to eat but some of these were SO HARD ON THE EYES I lost my appetite.......PUUUUUUKE!!!!!
😂
That is a gold or brass colored fist. Brass knuckles are metal and made to wear over your fingers like 4 large rings made together.
I'll let my CM black go, in two years ! You'll like it 👍
Where is that 1981 LP Custom listed? I am interested!
9:20 That's a SHIFT 2001 torsion bar - Washburn Wonderbar
The SG with the top mount tremolo, that is a Washburn Wonderbar. I bought a guitar because of that feature, but it turned out to be pretty crappy.
the 81 LP looks great as is. it's a player with a story to tell.
Ed hardy gibson headstock. Man, i just can't do it. I feel like that's a guitar the son from pawnstars would want!
Let’s get a review of that new Tom DeLonge starcaster
The Ebony ES-295 is cool , also the 81' LP Custom would be a good project...Thanks Trogly !
Now that’s a Mod Collection I can get down with! WyRoN? Yes, I would!
That flamey 175 was stupid cool
Oh man..
Missed your playin Trog!! lots of improvement the last couple years!!
Hey Trogley I would love to see you do a video on a Heritage H-150 Les Paul style guitar. Please lol
when are you going to document durst burst?

The natural one with the joker face on the neck needs a home
I think the mystery trem on the SG is a Rockinger from the early 80s. Their first trems came out before Floyd Roses.
Shift 2001
Washburn Wonderbar
Thanks. For breaking it down for us Trogly
I believe that is a Menace Les Paul
Gibson DID make Tenor electrics, in to the 60s...or thereabouts.
Trogly!! That sg menace photo you used is a friend of mines! He put those roller saddles on it! That's his reverb pics cause he's selling it

That was fun.
Some of us buy guitars to play them.
Howdy everyone!!
Did anyone else notice that on some pictures of the cosmic SG had covered pickups while others had uncovered?

Yup that's a fist. Not sure he would know what brass knuckles look like.
